Welcome to thread 2 for babies due in May 2018.

Looking forward to early scans, seeing the first flutters and progressing further into the first trimester.

Wow that's so soon catdog

readysetcake · 20/09/2017 16:08

I have to see my GP first before midwives as well mother and agree its a waste of an appointment. Especially at my surgery where it is so busy and ill people really struggle to get seen.

Exciting catdog that doesn't seem far off at all. My parents got married on Friday 13th and have been happily together for almost 40 years, so no need to worry!

binkybunny · 20/09/2017 17:47

Hi ladies. New to this group, sort of joined in with a conceiving one but it's taken a year for a bfp and had given up. Then 2 weeks ago I didn't feel Right, poas and there was the blue cross! No symptoms other than tiredness which is worrying me as I was sick literally from conceiving last time with DD. I still can't believe I'm pregnant and looking forward to sharing this amazing journey with you all! (Sorry far too gushy!)

MammaBear18 · 20/09/2017 18:24

Welcome new mums to be!

catdog how exciting and soon! When's your EDD?

After 3 attempts I finally had my bloods drawn today! Flat veins are a nightmare! I now have a cotton pad on each arm Hmm

Californiadreaming15 · 20/09/2017 18:24

Looking for some positive vibes. so I've just noticed that I am bleeding. It is very light only when I wipe and pale pink. I've phoned the doctor and they've advised that I see how I go during the night (do something if it gets worse) then ring the EPU when they open in the morning.

My mum has said she had the same when pregnant with me and my sister was the same with her second.

Just looking for some reassurance, still been very sick, tired and boobs feel full of glass.

timeisnotaline · 20/09/2017 18:46

Public service announcement- it is expected to be a bad flu season, so you should get vaccinated. (It's been a terrible flu season in Australia and this is usually followed by similar in the northern hemisphere). It's free once you have your medical card although I got mine earlier this week as going by last time I will be too unwell to get it after my card arrives.

binkybunny · 20/09/2017 18:58

California pale pink is fine. Last time I had dark red blood, cramps and back pain. Went to epu at 6 weeks and saw her heartbeat!. Light bleeding is normal in the early days.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 20/09/2017 19:02

I was just thinking about that timeisnotaline, as I was looking at H's letter from the GP re flu jab (he is asthmatic)

Kirstipops · 20/09/2017 19:13

California I had very light red blood when I wiped one evening a week ago, it hasn't come to anything and I still have sore boobs, nausea and tiredness so fx I'm still all good! I had an irritable cervix last pregnancy and had a couple of similar incidents, last week I'm certain it was because I was coughing so violently!

MotherOfBoy · 20/09/2017 20:06

california I had similar that turned to bright red for one night when I was 13 weeks. Have you had sex recently? My bleeding was caused by sensitive cervix aggravated by sex. But pretty common in early pregnancy. As long as not heavy and cramping!

Californiadreaming15 · 20/09/2017 22:09

Thank you everyone. I'm going to see how I am in the morning and ring the EPU.

Not a fan of this stage at all.

Catndogmummy · 20/09/2017 22:31

@mammabear18 my EDD is 29th April according to the date of my last period, but I suspect I ovulated later because I had implantation bleeding which suggests it was later. I'm expecting my date to be pushed back a few days at the scan! Although if it's pushed back anymore than a week I'll cry! I can't wait to get out of the first trimester, it's just horrible!

SquashyMummy · 21/09/2017 06:34

Anybody else waiting for symptoms? I'm 5+4 but limited signs. Possibly more tired than usual, gagging when I brush my teeth and one day of nausea. Waiting for the sore boobs and proper tiredness/nausea. My symptoms started at 6/7 weeks last time so I know it's early days but I keep worrying I've imagined this pregnancy!

binkybunny · 21/09/2017 06:44

Me squashy as I just don't feel pregnant and I've woken up this morning to pink blood and awful stomach cramps and back ache. I know this is normal at this stage but I'm terrified I'm having an mc as it's taken so long to get that bfp Sad

Lumc86 · 21/09/2017 07:08

I'm not having many symptoms either. A bit more tired than normal, and randomly emotional, but that's it. I don't really physically 'feel' pregnant yet. I'm about 4+5.

LadyPug · 21/09/2017 07:47

Hey squashy 5+3 here and not feeling remotely pregnant. No boob pain, no nausea, not emotional (last time had all of these)

Just a bit light headed and a bit tired but nowhere near like last time and mild tummy cramps. I'm convinced I can't be pregnant!!

LadyPug · 21/09/2017 08:22

Mild tummy cramps are getting worse at this end and last few hours have been really painful. Hopefully it's all ok!!!

PhoenixDown · 21/09/2017 08:28

@treehousemama we are in the same neck of the woods Grin

@ladypug I'm still cramping some days. Think it must be when embryo grows a little bit!

@binkybunny have you spoken to epau or gp? It's worth putting your mind at rest, I'd always check when seeing any bleeding xx

I'm feeling soooooo exhausted. Thank god I'm off a few days now. Fast asleep by 9 every night and makes no difference. I'm getting straight back in bed once DD is at school! Not been sick yet but nausea and just don't fancy anything to eat, having to force myself.

Whatamuddleduck · 21/09/2017 08:53

Uurrggh! 8wks 2 days and morning sickness has just arrived. Sitting outside 1st meeting of the day trying to get some food in me before back to back meetings all day. I was just thinking I might be one of the lucky few with no ms. I hope I feel better shortly!

FleurWeasley · 21/09/2017 09:27

I don't feel that pregnant either, feel like I've got everyone excited for no reason!

binkybunny · 21/09/2017 10:45

phoenix I'm just waiting on the GP calling me back now as my bleeding has got a bit heavier and the cramps and back pain worse. Ended up telling my boss as I tried to get away with saying my backache was unbearable and she offered me painkillers and tried to get me to stay, so I just blurted it out. Didn't really want my boss to know before my mum, but she was great and has sent me off home for the day!

SquashyMummy · 21/09/2017 10:48

Hope everything is okay binkybunny Sounds very sensible to tell your boss, go home and consult the GP.

cautiousoptimist1 · 21/09/2017 11:38

Hope everything is ok binky, it sounds like you have a good boss.

My symptoms seem to have really ramped up today. My LO woke up overnight and I couldn't get back to sleep after settling her as I felt so sick and have that horrible discomfort in my ribs - I remember that from last time but didn't think it was this early, I'm seriously contemplating a pregnancy pillow this time! Then I've been to toddler group this morning and had to go outside for some air as I was crazy hot and pale so I'm fairly sure half the Mums in the village have guessed I'm pregnant! Wink
I had nausea but not much sickness last time and hope that'll be the case this time as I hate being sick and am so loud!!

OP posts:
McTufty · 21/09/2017 11:46

All the best binky, hopefully nothing to worry about but no point taking chances.

I have minimal symptoms, but then adjusted for ovulation I would say I'm only just 4 weeks pregnant! My nipples are a little sore and I still need the loo loads but I am also wondering if I am actually pregnant!!

SquashyMummy · 21/09/2017 12:10

I have that rib feeling too cautious, but initially thought it was just my bra digging in. Weirdly my boobs aren't sore but something has clearly expanded as my bra feels tight. I had this much later on last time.

I also have achey limbs. I can't work out if it's just tiredness from a busy week or pregnancy.
