I bought a pair of maternity work trousers, seemed fine at first, but start falling down if I walk more than 10 paces. I've loosely seen an extra piece of elastic to hold them up until tummy gets a bit bigger!

MrsDneedsaB · 29/10/2017 00:08

Oh dear, my maternity jeans are starting to fit me quite well although I do have a rather pronounced bump now. I can't wear my normal trousers at all!

MissYeti · 29/10/2017 09:48

I just seem to be expanding everywhere which is odd as I'm still not putting on weight!! Bought some maternity leggings from mothercare the other day but then realised I have no shoes to go with them 😩
In other news I think the sickness has finally passed! I havent had to take a tablet for the last 4 days!!! Not bad for a day shy of 15 weeks

Thelostsock · 29/10/2017 11:16

I found the H&M leggings really good if you pick your normal size, have been wearing them since 14 weeks. In fact a lot of their stuff is good size wise as it doesn’t seem to fall down

ScarletSienna · 29/10/2017 14:02

Is anyone else really struggling to believe that all their pregnancy will be ok? My other pregnancy, although my DS is now fine, was problematic on a few levels and I’m just not able to believe this one will work out. It’s exhausting.

MissYeti · 29/10/2017 14:36

I keep wondering if everything is good...nothing to suggest otherwise but Its just odd not having any confirmation that baby's doing alright in there! It's an odd time of nothing between seeing the scan, starting to show and feeling movements.

Another scan in two and a bit weeks for me, just after my next midwife appointment. Will be nice to see nugget again

MissYeti · 29/10/2017 15:50

Spoke too soon 😭😭 making mince pies, sudden hot flush, shaking and throwing up...joy of joys

ScarletSienna · 29/10/2017 16:28

Oh no-hope you feel ok again quickly. I wish I could somehow have a little camera fitted so I could just peek to see everything is ok!

GoingIn · 29/10/2017 16:35

Anyone else feeling really tired all the time? I'm taking pregnancy supplements, including iron but doesn't seem to have much effect.

MissYeti · 29/10/2017 16:47

All the time! I have a 2hr nap daily schedule permitting

ScarletSienna · 29/10/2017 16:50

I’m weirdly not tired at all unless I don’t drink enough. Last time I was always tired!

olicat · 29/10/2017 16:51

I am SO tired. Also second the wondering if all is ok. I confess I've booked a private 16 week scan but specifically for my cervix as I've had a few biopsies on it but not the lletz treatment, so nhs won't monitor me. Excited for another glimpse of baby! But still have the fear about things not being ok.

In other news I just bought some non wired bras and pants in a size too big. The relief!!!

fitbitbore · 29/10/2017 17:09

Anyone else got an anterior placenta??? Or had one in a previous pregnancy?? Did it cause you amy problems???

And I'm pretty tired most days but just had a good weekend!!! There's no telling what the day will be like!!! Plus I'm already uncomfortable at night and waking lots!!! Won't be getting any easier so just go with it!!!ha

olicat · 29/10/2017 17:30

Fitbit I also have an anterior placenta, marked as low so hoping it moves up rather than down! I'm more annoyed about it possibly taking longer to feel baby moving.

fitbitbore · 29/10/2017 17:50

@olicat yes I'm pretty pissed off at my placenta too 😂😂😂 I have felt little flicks low down but not everyday!!! More like every 3 days.

I've read birth can be more painful with a anterior??? Was wondering if anyone has any experience of this?

Let's hope they move over to the side.

MissYeti · 29/10/2017 18:09

The position of my placenta was never mentioned so I don't know where it is...

MrsDneedsaB · 29/10/2017 18:19

Me either @MissYeti.....how do you know if it's anterior? Do they tell you when it's anterior as though it's a possible problem?

I've heard anterior can be a pain when trying to feel movements or if trying to hear baby on anything other than u/s or Doppler but I thought it was only really problematic if it's low lying?

There's so much stuff about pregnancy you never know about until you go through it!

ScarletSienna · 29/10/2017 18:40

I too have an anterior placenta. Again. I’ll be honest - I’m upset about it’s past time I only felt my baby move a few times the whole pregnancy. I had a complete anterior placenta-the whole front was covered. I couldn’t do the count the kicks thing which meant driving to the next town (where the hospital is) a few times a week to have monitoring. It made pregnancy really stressful. I felt him move a handful of times and no kicks as such. Hoping this time it moves up a bit. Some people do feel more so there’s hope.

Last time it was written on my notes at 20 weeks scan (they didn’t mention it and I’d never heard of it so was worried when by 24 weeks I still hadn’t felt anything). This time I asked when I had a scan at 14 weeks.

fitbitbore · 29/10/2017 19:01

I was told at the gender scan!!!

Sam91TRS15 · 29/10/2017 19:11

I think at the gender scan the man mumbled something about the placenta being in the right place, so I think it's mainly just checked by most and if it's not problematic they don't mention it.
I don't know what I had last time either so I assume where it should be? Posterior?
I feel like this baby moves so much more than my daughter did, as I was feeling loads most days, but not much today so drank cold fizzy juice and choc to try and wake him up! When do we need to feel movements everyday? I feel like if I said to a midwife I didn't feel movement today (18 weeks) they would just say they don't expect me to?

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 29/10/2017 19:11

Acidently order the wrong pizza 😢
And I hate the pizza I order 😢😢😢

Sam91TRS15 · 29/10/2017 19:15

Oh why - that sucks! Order another! In my last pregnancy I cried cos my bacon pancakes and maple syrup came with pink, barely cooked bacon and honey... DP always likes to remind me and everyone else about it...

olicat · 29/10/2017 19:50

Argh the wrong food when you're pregnant is a crying matter, genuinely! Especially if your cravings are super specific.

My placenta position was written on my 12 week scan report - think it can move a bit so they don't worry about it too much until 20 weeks. Yeah I definitely hope I can feel at least some movement as I can imagine it would be pretty stressful otherwise! Sienna hope it's less stressful for you this time. fitbit I bloody well hope it's not more painful!!

Thelostsock · 29/10/2017 20:13

If it’s at all helpful, my friends first was anterior and she didn’t feel much. She’s currently pregnant with second, also anterior but can feel loads. I think it really varies.

Oh food is definitely a crying matter! I went through a phase of not being able to eat anything and just cried over my meal every evening Grin

boatrace30 · 29/10/2017 21:54

@Sam91TRS15 - I think not until about 25 weeks but if you were hugely concerned they might take you in for monitoring anyway. Just as reassurance
