Thanks @MissYeti :)

What exciting news about the gender scan? When are you hoping to book this for?

Mine is 6th November, but so far little Peanut has been a trouble maker at the scans and doesn't like to play ball. So praying that he/she will open it's legs and not get all scan shy again. Ha

MissYeti · 25/10/2017 14:25

clairebear its been booked for 18th November, I was going to have to wait til 15th December for my 20 week scan cuz OH didnt think we could justify paying for another private scan but I don't want to run the risk of not finding out...I'm far too impatient for that!
Hope your little peanut plays ball for your scan!!

ClaireBear1986 · 25/10/2017 14:43

Thanks @MissYeti, you too :)

I'm far too impatient for that as well. So as soon, as I had my dates confirmed I booked the earliest private scan possible.

FairfaxAikman · 25/10/2017 19:15

Asked if she thought we were having a boy or a girl, my young niece announced she thought we would have a dragon.

DH is now calling me Daenerys. Grin

MissYeti · 26/10/2017 15:15

Fairfax that's so cute! I'm gonna start telling people we're hoping its a dinosaur 😂😂

olicat · 26/10/2017 18:55

Another vote for pregnancy yoga here! Did my first class at the weekend and loved it. Was very hippy (lots of talk of creative flow and space of love and gratitude 😂) but was so relaxing, and nice to meet local pregnant women!

olicat · 26/10/2017 18:59

Lots to catch up on but Aspenn my skin was AWFUL in the first trimester and I literally had 'I thought you were supposed to be glowing?' from my own mother which wasn't helpful! Totally understand how crappy it makes you feel. Thankfully now my face spots are improving but bizarrely they have migrated to my chest, it's a small victory I suppose!

Hope everyone is doing well. Anyone else finding that time is dragging less since the 12 week scan?

MissYeti · 26/10/2017 19:15

olicat I'm finding time dragging since 12 weeks but thats probably because its half term and I'm not being bombarded with uni lectures! Will be back to chaos next week! I havent started glowing at all and the phrase makes me giggle, imagine if pregnant ladies actually physically glowed (I AM 27, honest!!) I want a green glow, would be awesome for Halloween 😂😂

Aspenn17 · 26/10/2017 20:13

Ahh that's so exciting MissYeti! Do you have a feeling as to what you think it is? (Apart from a dinosaur 😂)

Olicat weirdly since I posted last weekend my face seems a little better and like you they have moved but to my back, but like you said small victory and much easier to put up with!

Thanks for the yoga feedback! I've got my first session on Saturday!

MissYeti · 26/10/2017 20:34

The OH and I both think its a girl, only two of my friends agree EVERYONE ELSE thinks it's a boy. I'll be happy either way, you wouldn't believe how long I've been waiting for OH to say we can try for a baby! I'm just glad its actually happening to be fussed about gender. I just wanna know so I can buy stuff!!! Eeee!!!!!!!

MrsDneedsaB · 26/10/2017 20:59

Jeez I wish my spots would move from my chin to my back already, every time I look in the mirror throughout the day an new one has popped up. Week 17 and still no let up in the spots!

I'm a bit gutted, all the pregnancy yoga classes round my way are all during my work hours. A real shame because my hip/groin pain isn't going anywhere and I feel like some proper stretching would help.

MissYeti it's so exciting the run up to finding out and then in the last day or two you just get so impatient lol it's nice of your mum to gift you the scan though. Everyone in my family thought it was a girl apart from my dad and best friend - oddly I find the minority opinion is normally the right one lol

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 27/10/2017 07:54

The pregnancy yoga in my area the instructor has gone on mat leave due to a high risk pregnancy which is a shame as I quite fancied this as I’m finding the gym a bit of a struggle (we’ll struggle is getting there as I just was to sleep when i get home from work)

I’ve got the cold so feeling a bit naff so far this week but I have been working for almost 4 weeks straight which hasn’t helped - chilled weekend for me this weekend with no work can’t wait for a long lie!!!

FairfaxAikman · 27/10/2017 08:32

We move from a teeny flat to a proper house today. What I shame I can’t lift a finger to help Grin

Thelostsock · 27/10/2017 08:41

Hahaha @FairfaxAikman I offered to help with some painting the other day, 2 hours later and I’d had a lovely nap on the canvas covered sofa

I really must sort myself out and sign up to yoga, looks like it gets everyone’s vote!

I’ve found time is still passing too slowly but I’m not obsessively reading up on baby development every day, and all the articles on the various apps I downloaded at the beginning

At least 20 minutes of our team meeting on Wednesday was taken up by the boss insisting I stand up, move on various directions, so they could all decide on the sex 😂 mostly girl other than a few boy votes. I’m expecting a boy, for no reason at all, just a feeling

ClaireBear1986 · 27/10/2017 10:59

Strange how you literally just get a feeling about what you are having. I'm now almost 100% convinced that I am having a boy, but when my partner asked me why I was so convinced, I had no reasons at all.

I'm 15w 1d now and my skin is terrible. Not had spots on my face this bad, since I was about 13. I am definitely not glowing, and my symptoms seems to have returned after having a couple of weeks of feeling ok.

Now feeling more tired than I knew was possible, bad skin, very hairy (cringe), sickness is back in the morning and all I want to do is eat crisps and chocolate.
I think everyone that said the 2nd trimester was the easiest part was a liar. Ha ha.

harrietm87 · 28/10/2017 07:52

Yes I'm convinced I'm having a boy too! No real reason. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and feeling fine, but terrible skin here too. Big cysts on chin and spots on my chest, back and neck too! Definitely not glowing!

boatrace30 · 28/10/2017 08:00

Another one with terrible skin here.
Been off work this week and have not worn make up at all - it’s really helped. Though I’m sure people in the street must think I look half dead. Especially as I’ve been ill too!
Feel like I’m having a girl. But last time I thought boy and it was a girl so who knows!!

OP posts:
FairfaxAikman · 28/10/2017 08:03

I initially though I was having a girl, but now convinced it’s a boy. (Obviously my nieces vote is for dragon Grin)

olicat · 28/10/2017 08:54

A boy dragon maybe? 😊

I'm now thinking mine is a girl from what the sonographer said at the 12 week scan, also my hcg levels are higher than normal which apparently points towards a girl too. (Apparently the high hcg isn't a risk as my papp-a was higher than average too - still making me a bit worried though - anyone else have weird bloods after the 12 week scan? No-one at the hospital seems able to offer an explanation!)

Still debating whether we'll find out or not!

Steffy121083 · 28/10/2017 14:24

Hi everyone, just saying hi! I'm 16+4, due April 10 with our first baby! Feeling more myself these last few weeks and enjoying being pregnant now! I'm in the 'feeling fat' stage; normal clothes don't quite fit but maternity clothes fall down! So, hi!

ScarletSienna · 28/10/2017 15:02

Oliver-I had really really high hcg levels-almost 4 times the top of the range. Unexplained so far.

ScarletSienna · 28/10/2017 15:10

Olicat not Oliver 😂

boatrace30 · 28/10/2017 15:35

I know that feelin @Steffy121083 . I’ve got hardly anything to wear!!

OP posts:
LivLemler · 28/10/2017 20:53

Me too! Bump has appeared so thought I was past the fat stage. Went to buy maternity jeans the other day. Think I bought a size too big as they keep falling down. Sigh.

ScarletSienna · 28/10/2017 21:01

I would like a bump now too!
