oli my bump feels massive too but I’m not sure if I just feel it’s massive
Clearly I didn’t look pregnant enough to be given a seat on the train the other night despite my best efforts Grin

harrietm87 · 16/10/2017 21:01

To clarify, when I said I didn't have a bump, I definitely appear way bigger round the tummy than normal, but sadly I just look fat! When does it become a proper round shape?? Guess it's different for everyone.

Aspenn17 · 16/10/2017 22:02

Thanks everyone, might tell DH not to worry about coming to this one then unless he really wants to.

My tum is definitely rounder but it's not really looking like a baby bump yet, more like serious bloating still!

boatrace30 · 16/10/2017 22:12

In my experience bump doesn't become a clear baby bump until 20+ weeks. Was running a meeting at work today and a colleague who didn't know walked in and went "ooo, expecting no.2". Obviously I am but think it was definitely a dodgy thing to ask. I could easily just be a bit fat!!

Erm, is anyone else beginning to lose bladder control?! Got an awful cold and every sneeze is dangerous! I feel like it's far too early for this?

MissYeti · 17/10/2017 19:30

Still got bladder control, its the sickness I'm struggling with :( I thought it was supposed to get better post 12 weeks 😭😭

Thelostsock · 17/10/2017 19:44

I think I’d just drunk too much yesterday 😄 bladder back in control today and have sneezed lots!

I’ve found it’s gone unless I’m very very tired in which case I feel really sicky again

MrsDneedsaB · 17/10/2017 19:45

I've still got control but starting to get the feeling on a stretched bladder when I haven't been for a couple of hours. However I am loving not having to pee every 20 mins!
Also pretty darn sure I felt the baby moving last night when I was in bed, rolled over in the middle of the night and felt a flutter of bubbles - a completely new sensation I have never felt before. Was very odd!

Aw MissYeti I'm sorry that you're still feeling sick!! Is it manageable at least?

MissYeti · 17/10/2017 19:57

Ooooh mrsD!! Sounds exciting!!

Its manageable to the point where I only vomit when I'm at home, today I had literally just got in the door before the feeling hit me 😞😞 thinking early morning starts for uni and eating a lot of sweet things isn't necessarily helping. Taking tomorrow off as a precaution, back on Thursday and then thankfully it's half term so I can get all the r&r and hope it's better in time for starting all over again the following week...bleh 😩

Thelostsock · 17/10/2017 20:05

Oh gosh you’re actually being sick @MissYeti , that’s no fun at all. Lots of rest! I got told off at work today for not taking things easier, so I’m off home for a hot bath and early night. It’s difficult as I’m mostly feeling better now so want to make up for 3 months of doing nothing

I felt the baby at the weekend too! Would describe it as bubbles as well, which is how the midwife described it to me but I’d been ignoring until now as just wind

MissYeti · 17/10/2017 20:10

Baths are my favourite thing in the world at the moment! My friend takes the mick when I tell her I'm in the bath again (every day pretty much!!)

I wanna feel the baby bubbles :(

fitbitbore · 17/10/2017 20:11

Team blue here!! 😃

ScarletSienna · 17/10/2017 22:26

Anyone in the South, I really recommend First View in Fareham if you want any reassurance or medical scans. I felt our hospital 12 week scan was rushed (3 minutes and they didn’t check stomach or bladder or anything really-just dated the pregnancy) so I booked a check there. I’m 14+1 and they looked so closely at everything plus let us just watch him moving. I get that the NHS is stretched and not for fun and photos but I really didn’t feel they checked enough so I’m glad I went tonight!

MrsDneedsaB · 18/10/2017 07:10

Aw yay @fitbitbore another boy to add to the group! I found out on Sunday hopefully!

That's great @ScarletSienna I'm glad you were able to find a private scan where they could actually reassure you. I've always used BabyBond for my private scans and they've been so lovely every time. If peanut hadn't been in an annoying position I reckon our NHS scan would've been shorter.

Sam91TRS15 · 18/10/2017 08:45

Missyeti, that sucks about your sickness. What week are you? I found my sickness was worse just coming into the second trimester because my stomach was so squished - so if I ate too much it would come straight back up. So hopefully it's maybe the same and will calm down soon!
I've not had the bubbles this time, it's been more like pressure when I feel baby, but I think I felt a proper kick yday - it gave me a little jolt through my whole body. I can't wait for the movements to be more regular!

Sam91TRS15 · 18/10/2017 08:46

Oh and fitbit congrats on team blue!

MissYeti · 18/10/2017 10:04

Fitbit congrats on team blue!!

Sam I'm 13 weeks. I'll be 15 weeks by the time I go back to uni so hopefully I'll be okay by then!

Testar0ssa · 18/10/2017 12:11

Sympathies for those still with morning sickness/vomming/nausea. Mine lasted beyond 12 weeks and I was despairing but suddenly it eased, and then it all but stopped. I’m now 16 weeks.

I’m way down south. Baby no. 2. Team yellow so far (not sure whether we’ll find out). Due right the beginning of April (baby no 1 taught me to have a healthy disregard for due dates).

At my 16 week appointment, we heard baby heartbeat and heard movements. BP and wee checked.

I’m now feeling baby move too. Most frequently feel movements when I’m lying down. It feels like baby is bouncing (gently) around. It feels more definite than bubbles.

FairfaxAikman · 18/10/2017 16:04

Just hit week 14 and having a really awful day with sickness - including an emergency stop on the way to work. Thank god i’d just left the motorway.
Bearly been sick but when it hits it hits hard!

WhyTheHeckMe · 18/10/2017 19:20

Fairfax sorry to hear about the sickness, I've not had that at all and I imagine it must be horrible :(

Probably way tmi and sorry to be really gross. But I'm now 13+4 and the last 3 nights have been suffering from terrible stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Im fine all day, it's from about 6.30pm onwards. Not sure if it's 'normal' or if there's a problem. Anyone else?

I'm meeting my consultant tomorrow for the first time (emergency section previously) so I'll mention it but I'm sure they'll not be phased.

MissYeti · 18/10/2017 19:34

Ive had diarrhea recently, lasted for about 3 days and then disappeared, wasn't accompanied by cramps though. I wouldnt worry too much, it seems like a pretty regular symptom from what I've seen online

MrsDneedsaB · 18/10/2017 20:00

Hopefully the bad cramps are just wind and the intestines doing things quicker than they've been used to for a while!
I literally fluctuate between constipation and diarrhoea and when I get the latter I do tend to have bad wind pains along with it, almost like horrific trapped wind! Hopefully that's the same for you!

I had my 16 week midwife appointment this afternoon although the midwife was sick so I was seen to by either a replacement or just a nurse....I couldn't quite tell! She went through all my last blood test results, made sure I had my next vital appointments booked and tested my urine and then we listened to bubbas heartbeat. I was expecting more blood tests but thank god there wasn't! Phew!

boatrace30 · 19/10/2017 06:48

I'm exactly the same @MrsDneedsaB . Either constipation or diarrhoea and I get cramps with the latter

Sunshinesaz86 · 19/10/2017 10:01

Congrats on team blue fitbit that's a few blues now.

Sorry to all still suffering sickness. Must be rubbish. Has everyone had their scans now?
Is the next step 16 week mw apps, sex scans and 20 week scans? X

twiddlerthefidget · 19/10/2017 15:18

My next step is 16 week appointment. My due date is 7th so I think everyone due in April should probably have had their first scans by now.
I havent told work yet, mostly because I'm a massive worrier and have been waiting for the 20 week scan. Has anyone else not told work? Should I just tell them anyway? Im starting to feel bad because I think most people here announce after the 12 week scan (although I've not really counted so it's a bit hard to tell).
