Great news about your scan KBTR, and your screening dumpling.
Welcome gabrielle
MrsD I'd mention it to your mw next time you see her, but IME they err on the side of caution when it comes to pregnancy, so if it was anything to worry about I'm sure they'd have been in touch. Whereabouts in Hants are you? I'm also north Hants, about as north as you can get without being in Surrey! Have only ever been to Southampton for IKEA but sounds like I need to check out the rest of it too! No new buggies or anything here though, I already have 2 and I think DH would cry if I brought another one home Smile DS will be 21 months when this one arrives so my plan is to sling the baby until probably 8-9 months at least, and by then DS should be ok on a buggy board. Sorted.

Time definitely NOT flying here... dragging would be much more accurate! The first trimester feels like it's lasted for ever already. I really want to tell people so I can stop pretending to feel normal (and stop breathing in!). Only one more week (and a couple of days) to go!

MrsDneedsaB · 03/10/2017 20:35

Oh @GlenCoco you're probably near me then! I'm in Basingstoke but only because we couldn't afford to live in my home town of Bracknell and DHs home town of Farnborough lol 😂 oh the joys of being from the Home Counties!

Yesss you need to go to West Quay for the day, they've got loads and amazing new restaurants. I sound like I'm a paid advert haha

boatrace30 · 03/10/2017 21:48

Time dragging for me too. Loads of people said second pregnancies fly by. That's completely wrong!! This is going sooo slowly. Much worse than last time.

I'd love a new buggy. I really hated our old one but no way will DH let me buy one which I do understand. DD will be nearly three and is happy to walk on short journey. Longer walks we'll use a sling.

Had my 12 week scan on Friday. Was lovely to see heart beat and wiggly legs. Pip was hiding in pelvis though, so couldn't have the combined test. Need to go back in a few weeks for the quad test instead

starsshinebright · 03/10/2017 22:13

@MrsDneedsaB I'm in Fleet! Small world!

MrsDneedsaB · 03/10/2017 22:27

@starsshinebright ah my old clubbing town! 😂😂😂 although i refused to go to Jaxx after it was renamed MooMoos 🤦🏼‍♀️

starsshinebright · 03/10/2017 22:37

@MrsDneedsaB I've been to Moo Moos once, you're definitely not missing out! 😂😂

FourForYouGlenCoco · 03/10/2017 22:50

Ahh starsshine and mrsD you're both near me! I'm Bordon. MrsD I feel you on the house prices, DH mostly works in & around Surrey (carpenter/site manager on lots of big posh listed houses) but we looked at the shoeboxes we could buy there and promptly headed to Hampshire instead Grin neither of us are from round here, only moved last year, so still getting to grips with everywhere. Deffo going to check out West Quay at some point, sounds awesome! I've braved Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth
but only once Blush love Southsea beach though, often down there with the kids in nice weather!

boatrace30 · 04/10/2017 08:02

Ah I'm at the other end of Hampshire completely, on the Dorset/Hampshire border

MrsDneedsaB · 04/10/2017 10:21

Oh that's nice though @boatrace30! I'd love to live nearer the coast.

Hows everyone doing today? Have we got any more scans coming up this week?

I seem to have developed either a tooth or gum infection, I'm in absolute agony, off to the dentist this afternoon for some antibios!

Parney · 04/10/2017 14:59

MrsD I was in absolute alone with him pain last week. I had similar for a bit with DS. Honestly o found the pain to be worse than labour pains! Blush
I'm knits of sniffly this week. In other news I think I'm beginning to feel little jumps inside. Just every so often and only one at a time. I was much further on when I felt DS at 19 weeks so bu then it was a little more regular.

Parney · 04/10/2017 15:00

Absolute agony**

Parney · 04/10/2017 15:00

Gum* pain Angry

MrsDneedsaB · 04/10/2017 16:08

Oh no @Parney, I have read it's a very common thing to have teeth/gum issues when up duffed but I was hoping it was untrue lol. My dentist did sweet f.a. other then put a temp filling into a cavity in my wisdom tooth which did nothing. It's a gum infection and I know it, teeth don't tend to hurt when you bite down unless there is an infection underneath. She said I need to go to the GP for antibios as it needs to go in my maternity notes. Hurumph!

fitbitbore · 04/10/2017 18:55

Anyone booking an early gender scan? I had one last time but wasn't going to this time. Now my 20 week scan date has come and my husband can't make it, so this is my excuse to find out early ha ha

boatrace30 · 04/10/2017 19:05

That's really poor from your dentist. I was on abs quite a few times last pregnancy for UTI and it was never put in my notes. Gum infections can be dangerous in pregnancy (one of the reasons we get free dental care) so see a dr asap!

boatrace30 · 04/10/2017 19:05

And no gender scan for us. We won't find out until the bitter end - though I am more tempted this time

OP posts:
Sam91TRS15 · 04/10/2017 19:19

We have our gender scan next Thursday! We didn't find out last time but this time I want to know! Are you booking one?

MrsDneedsaB · 04/10/2017 19:22

Well she also told me to wait 48hrs before asking the doctor for antibiotics as the filling may have been all I needed for it to settle down 🤦🏼‍♀️ honestly you can't expect a pregnant woman to go 3/4 days with a severe tooth infection when they're especially bad for us!

I'll be ringing the dr first thing in the morning for a prescription - let's just hope they give me one!

MrsDneedsaB · 04/10/2017 19:23

Oh Sam next week already?!?!? That's gone so quickly!!

I'll be booking one @fitbitbore but everyone knows I'm dying to find out 😂 not like I've ever mentioned it before on here....teehee

fitbitbore · 04/10/2017 20:48

I'm dying to know too 😂😂😂

Aspenn17 · 04/10/2017 21:14

Hope you feel better soon MrsD.

We find out next Thursday! Got my 12 week scan on Tuesday and then Harmony results (and gender results) two days after that!

We're looking at moving house before Christmas/around then so holding off doing any baby shopping until then as it will just be more to move!!

starsshinebright · 04/10/2017 22:34

I've got a gender scan booked for the 21st!

MissYeti · 05/10/2017 07:33

Got my 12 week scan next Thursday, can't believe Its only a week away!!

msrD hope you can get some antibios soon, it sounds super painful :(

My OH and I are having a bit of a rough time at the moment :/ he wants to go work abroad with his dad and I have always been against it since the start of our relationship. Since finding out we're having a baby he's pushing it even more and I'm just sat here like I need you...why do you want to leave me (potentially for months at a time) at the time when I need you the most??
His family are so money orientated it's ridiculous, they're all putting pressure on him to provide. I come from a much more emotional family and for me its much more important to spend good and consistent quality time together. Theres plenty of time in the future to make money.

Sorry for the huge post...just needed to rant :(

FairfaxAikman · 05/10/2017 11:01

Yeti working away doesn’t have to be a bad thing - my grandfather spend nine months a year at sea but always came back with loads of exotic treats for DF and his brothers.**
