12 weeks tomorrow. It feels muscular, completely.

boatrace30 · 26/09/2017 20:59

What are people like "bump" wise. In my last pregnancy I ended up being ridiculously huge (too many unwelcome comments made me quite paranoid). This week I feel like I've suddenly popped out and I look about five months pregnant, not 13weeks!! Scared about how big I might end up Confused

fitbitbore · 26/09/2017 21:06

I'm looking about five months gone too!!! At three months with my last you couldn't tell and now people are asking me cos it's so obvious!

twiddlerthefidget · 26/09/2017 21:06

It sounds like it could be sciatica to me (?). I have had similar pains to what you describe even down to it getting worse when walking before my pregnancy but they never figured out what it was. Perhaps see if you can get a GP appointment?

boatrace30 · 26/09/2017 21:11

That's reassuring @fitbitbore , hopefully it won't continue to grow at this pace!!
I've also had a crazy outbreak of spots and mouth ulcers Sad

WhyTheHeckMe · 26/09/2017 21:24

Guys I'm also massive. I'm only 9+5. Have now had to start telling people that ask (mostly at work). Feel bad that half my family still dont know but I literally cannot hide it! It's my second baby so apparently this is the reason, even so... ps. I am wearing pants lol

I though sciatica was felt more in your back and bum? That's where I've always got it but could be different between people. I get a pain/cramp if I stand up too quick, but that's my stomach and pelvic muscles loosening up. What's your midwife like? Is she the kind you could text or casually ask?

I've looked about 4/5 months gone for a couple of weeks now, I've not been able to suck my tummy in due to bloat. I've always had a poochy lower belly so expected it to poke out sooner than later.

MrsDneedsaB · 26/09/2017 21:36

Wow heck! that's quite a bump you've got there, even if it's early it's still very nice and neat Smile at least you can blag with people that you don't know that you're a bit further along Wink I'm just at this horrible stage where I feel even fatter than I already am

boatrace30 · 26/09/2017 21:37

I'm a teacher and while I've told colleagues last time I didn't tell students until 20weeks... no way I'll manage that this time!!

@mrsD , the look on people's faces when I'm admitting I'm not quite 10 weeks is priceless! I am in all my maternity clothes already as I physically cannot do my trousers up now. Just so worried that it may still all go horribly wrong.
I'm sure your bump looks lovely! I think its impossible to feel attractive whilst pregnant.
Even so, It's very exciting! :-)

WhyTheHeckMe · 26/09/2017 21:42

You look great @boatrace! How far along are you?

MissYeti · 26/09/2017 21:50

Oh look at the bumps 😍😍😍 I'm so jealous, where I have an extra layer of fluff it's very hard to tell if my belly is getting bigger due to nugget or not 😕 I'm 10 weeks today so not expecting much but eurgh

boatrace30 · 26/09/2017 22:13

13weeks today! Thanks for the lovely comments! I certainly don't feel attractive (you can't see the spots in the pic!! 😂)

Hi ladies,

13 + 2 today. Have been cripplingly ill since 4 weeks (including what felt like a kind of mild depression) but the fog seems to have lifted literally the last few days. Haven't puked and I have suddenly got my mojo back.

I do suffer with pregnancy insomnia and that's not easing. And I have a 1 year old so doubly tired.

But I had a positive scan yesterday which after a history chequered with MMC was a huge relief. Due 2nd April but if my previous babies are anything to go by I can add at least a week on to that.

So hello! Look forward to reading your updates Grin

Thelostsock · 27/09/2017 06:23

Welcome @OhBondageUpYours!

Love all the bump pics! Can see why it's become difficult to hide Smile I have a definite bump but in loose clothes I just look fat, think that's because it's my first. Feels so different to a fat belly though, really enjoying watching it grow. Much better than nausea and exhaustion!

I guess we need to be obsessively moisturising now in the hope that that'll alleviate some of the stretch marks

Sunshinesaz86 · 27/09/2017 07:10

Welcome ohmy and twiddler.

Great bump pics why and boat I'm also on no2 and definitely a bit of a bump going on, but still mixed with a bit of bloat so may wait another few weeks before taking a pic.

nick I was convinced I had a urine/kidney infection over the weekend whilst everything else was going on I had a constant digging in my back where my kidney is and the GP told me it was definitely muscular due to them all relaxing to stretch and grow.
However if you are experiencing discomfort definitely worth getting checked out to be on the safe side.

olicat · 27/09/2017 07:24

Great bump pics! Now I was looking like I had a little one at 10 weeks but after discovering kiwis due to constipation I'm back to normal 🙈 obviously glad things are moving again but it's made me a bit paranoid! Roll on 12 week scan (2 weeks and counting!)

Did anyone else see the thread about the monster poo on the pregnancy board? 😨😨😨

Apologies if this is too much poo talk for a Wednesday morning haha

Aspenn17 · 27/09/2017 07:59

Ah lovely bump pics! I definitely look different in tight tops and the top button of my jeans won't do up but I still think it's just bloat, I can't wait for an actual bump! I had the Harmony test yesterday, did anyone else have it in the end? They put me forward another day so I'm 10+5 now.

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 27/09/2017 08:48

Loving the bumps - mine is just a bloat bump but I feel I need to cover/his it or otherwise it would be obvious (but maybe that is just to me!)

This week i have felt better and my exhaustion seems to have eased thankfull - fx it stays that way!

Mine unfortunately isn't pure "bump" it's mostly wobble! But I think the baby is pushing the fat up and out!!

OP posts:
FairfaxAikman · 27/09/2017 10:56

I’m overweight so no real sign of a bump, but clothes a bit tighter.

LivLemler · 27/09/2017 12:29

Love the bumps! You both look fab. I guess because you're both slim, you'll show earlier too. But embrace it!

My belly is definitely bigger. I've bought some bigger jeans for comfort and tend to wear long loose tops anyway so luckily they hide plenty. In the morning it's soft fat, and in the evenings it's a bit more solid fat. Grin 12 weeks tomorrow, very happy to get to that milestone.

harrietm87 · 27/09/2017 12:35

liv I'm 12 weeks tomorrow too. I don't really have a bump - just look fat all over! I've put on loads of weight and hoping will tail off in 2nd trimester when I won't be so hangry, nauseous and exhausted and can do some exercise again!

On my way to 12 week scan feeling terrified.

LivLemler · 27/09/2017 12:58

Totally hear you on the hangry. Grin I think I've just increased my appetite as well - not needing to eat so much for nausea any more, but constantly snacking.
