why I am constantly exhausted! I have always needed a full 8hrs sleep anyway but I have been going to bed at 8pm some weeknights! Last time I had a very long commute (driving) each way and don't remember going to bed that early. This time I work much closer to home so I think it's just second pregnancy taking its toll. I think family life plus pregnancy = tired mummy! 3.5yr old DD to occupy is tiring in itself!

harrietm87 · 25/09/2017 06:56

sunshine glad to hear you've had no more bleeding. Not long to wait until your scan now. I'm sure everything will be ok.

why I've totally had the exhaustion. Had it really bad 8-9 weeks, improved at 10 weeks and now at 11 weeks it's got really bad again! I've just been off work for a week and slept about 16hrs a day - no idea how I'm going to cope back in the office this week!

FairfaxAikman · 25/09/2017 12:13

Anyone had morning sickness START at 10 weeks?

Two days in a row I've hurled, which is not like me. No matter how nauseated (and I have been queasy prior to now) I get I always keep it down.

WhyTheHeckMe · 25/09/2017 13:08

Thanks ladies for the reassurance for the whole exhaustion thing. I'm back at work tomorrow after a week off so it should be interesting seeing if I can make it through without a 2 hours lunchtime nap!

@fairfax I haven't been sick at all but I'm almost 10 weeks and my nausea has definitely stepped up a level the last few days! Hope you feel better soon

Sam91TRS15 · 26/09/2017 09:27

Good luck with your scan today sunshine x

Sunshinesaz86 · 26/09/2017 11:15

Thanks so much ladies. We've been this morning and baby was there all looking good. They said they could see a bruised area where they think the bleed has come from. But no real explanation for it. But just glad all seems ok. Just going to take it easy for the next week or two.

Thanks for all your kind messages. X x

fitbitbore · 26/09/2017 11:26

Great news!! Rest up and enjoy the peace x

Sam91TRS15 · 26/09/2017 11:40

I'm so glad sunshine! How far on are you?

Sunshinesaz86 · 26/09/2017 12:56

I'm 12+5 today sam the bleed happened the day after my 12 week dating scan last week. We've had to wait 4 days to see what's going on. So hopefully can start to relax a little now. X x

olicat · 26/09/2017 13:04

Phew! Glad to hear sunshine, def get your feet up for the next few days x

MrsDneedsaB · 26/09/2017 13:07

Great news @Sunshinesaz86! I'm so pleased for you, the bleeding is a bugger isn't it! And very annoying that they can't explain it but good that they can see it on the scan at least, some just come from nowhere.

Im still spotting from my bleed last Sunday, 9 days later! in my scan they showed me a couple of black spots which were areas of blood so at least I know where it's coming from.

MissYeti · 26/09/2017 16:52

sunshine so glad it's good news! Hopefully you won't have any more scares

Thelostsock · 26/09/2017 17:16

That's great news @Sunshinesaz86 what a relief!

I'm now out of my normal trousers and into nice comfy stretchy maternity ones. I seem to be growing massively these last few days

NickMyLipple · 26/09/2017 17:46

I have such bad left sided abdominal pain when I walk - it's shooting through my stomach and groin but becomes slightly more bearable after taking a few steps. It's fine when I wake up in the morning but gets progressively worse through the day.

Is this round ligament pain? Don't want to waste anyone's time (or be signed off!!) But I'm struggling to walk at all.

There's no pain when sitting and no tenderness when I jab around the area I think is affected...

NickMyLipple · 26/09/2017 17:48

Should have said it's left sided!

twiddlerthefidget · 26/09/2017 17:48

Hi all I'd like to join the thread. Scan today and at 12+3.

Sam91TRS15 · 26/09/2017 17:53

nick do you think it could be gastro related maybe? I've been having a lot of like heart burn like pain, sometimes in my belly, sometimes in chest as you'd expect and right now in my back. I think ligament pain is more localised to the uterus area (where you'd have cramps etc) but I could be wrong

Sam91TRS15 · 26/09/2017 17:54

Also hi twiddler! Welcome

NickMyLipple · 26/09/2017 18:43

@Sam not gastro related. It's very 'deep' in my groin above the pubic bone, similar to where your appendix would be if it were on the left. I've had it since Friday, and yesterday and today have been unbearable when I start walking. It causes a shooting pain which takes my breath away.

boatrace30 · 26/09/2017 18:54

That's fantastic news @Sunshinesaz86 . Really pleased for you!

@NickMyLipple - might be worth a phone call to your midwife.

OP posts:
Sam91TRS15 · 26/09/2017 19:07

Yeah definitely go for a phone tomorrow, it doesn't sound like ligament pain

NickMyLipple · 26/09/2017 19:41

What else could it be?! No bleeding and no pain apart from when I move...

Sam91TRS15 · 26/09/2017 19:56

It could be just everything else moving, baby moves out of the pelvis towards the end of the first trimester. But if it is causing pain a lot for you, it's worth querying it if you are concerned.
I have cramps in my uterus almost everyday, sometimes it's pretty sore. So it's probably nothing to be worried about, but always a good idea to ask advice, even just to put your mind at rest

FourForYouGlenCoco · 26/09/2017 20:01

Nick how far along are you? Does it feel muscular/in your tummy or more in your pelvis? Could be the start of SPD, or maybe sciatica?

Hi all! I fell off the last thread so don't expect anyone to remember me, but have been dipping in and out and semi-keeping up with everyone. Loving all these 12 week scan and glad everything is going well for everyone! I'm way behind lots of you, due 23/04. Had an early scan at 8+4 and then had a massive wobble the next week and basically cried until DH told me to book another early scan, so had another a week after the first which bumped me forward a day. So 10+1 today and feeling a bit more confident now! Will try and keep up more.
