Oh sunshine, I really hope you can get seen quickly. Surely having a good scan yesterday must massively increase the chance of the bleed being harmless. Best of luck Flowers

Parney · 22/09/2017 15:56

Thinking of you sunshine I really hope all is well. Try to focus on yesterday's scan.

fitbitbore · 22/09/2017 15:58

Had my scan today. Took bloody ages as he wouldn't get into the right position!!! Also been put forward a few days into march!!! But not moving groups cos will probs come in April!

@Sunshinesaz86 - hopefully this will Ely, my friend had the same at 12 weeks. Cramps all night with bleeding get. It was actually one day before her scan so she went for it and was told all was fine and her baby is now for months old! Fingers crossed it's the same for you. Xx

@Sunshinesaz86 you can go to a and e if you can't get help via epu!

flippityfloppity · 22/09/2017 19:34

Sunshine I hope you get some good news soon.

Our local epu was booked up for scans when I started bleeding in a previous pregnancy and they sent me into a walk in gynae clinic which I hadn't heard of before - they did the scan although there was obviously a wait as it operated like a and e. I'm not sure if this is a national thing.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

Lots of lovely scan pics and stories - so glad to hear things are going well for most. We have another scan coming up next week and then a couple more weeks after until the 12 week one. Trying to stay positive and not panic! The bloating is getting ridiculous now and I've piled on the weight at a shocking amount despite not eating any worse than usual - which I think is probably the progesterone.

JammyC · 22/09/2017 21:00

sunshine I hope that you get some reassurance soon, can't offer any advice other than a virtual hand to hold.

I am so jealous of all these lovely scan pics! I'm desperate to get to 12wks so we can tell people. Had my GP appointment Monday after which the midwife supposedly contacts me for my booking appointment but haven't heard yet so who knows when that'll be. Sod's law it'll be booked for when we are on holiday the week after next!

Sorry forgot who asked but maybe you could dodge wine at the work do by driving because you need to pick your DH up later or something? I pretended I had a raging hangover from a fictitious night out the night before a recent work thing.

olicat · 23/09/2017 08:48

sunshine thinking of you and crossing fingers you can get seen and all is ok.

Decided to just blatantly not drink at work do and no-one said a thing which was pleasantly surprising, though as I'm basically falling asleep all the time and look like crap people may have put 2 and 2 together. Was super looking forward to a lie in but woke up at 6am desperate for a bowl of bran flakes!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend 😊

boatrace30 · 23/09/2017 11:44

Okay, if you're by Waitrose can you buy milk (full fat) and paninis

Sorry! Ignore that, was meant to be a text to DH 😂😂 #babybrain!!

NickMyLipple · 23/09/2017 12:49

Brilliant!!!!

fitbitbore · 23/09/2017 14:31

I don't think there is a Waitrose in about 100 miles of where I live!

crispydumpling · 23/09/2017 15:04

😂 love it @boatrace30, that’s the sort of thing I’d do!

RosesForBadgers · 23/09/2017 20:25

@sunshine, hoping all is ok with you.

Can I get some advice please? We're due at a wedding next Sat - a massive do in yurts in a forest, mega-rich three-course dinner (figs, game, creamy dessert), all bells and whistles. i've been excited about the wedding for months and love the couple but this nausea is absolutely knocking me round the room at the moment. I have to make DP cook with the door open and leave the room while he eats and I'm living almost exclusively on toast myself. I'm genuinely nervous about being presented with / sat in a room full of food that I can't handle. I'm on meds but they aren't helping just now and I don't know what to do. How should I manage this?

MissYeti · 23/09/2017 21:00

roses go back to your doctor and ask for a different tablet as yours isn't working. They have a list of ones they can prescribe. I'm on promethazine and its worked wonders for me

WhyTheHeckMe · 23/09/2017 21:21

@sunshine how are you today? Hope everything is okay x

fitbitbore · 24/09/2017 12:24

Just got a takeout Sunday lunch. The best decision I've made this year ha

WhyTheHeckMe · 24/09/2017 12:38

Sounds amazing fitbit! Wish I had thought of that, rather than buying a chicken to cook.

I'm really struggling with exhaustion.
I don't ever remember feeling like this with ds who is 1. He sleeps like a dream and I get 8 hours a night so I don't understand it.
So far today I've moved off the sofact twice for a wee while dh and ds have been in the garden playing, been to the shops and been to the park.
I feel like a terrible person and it's so out of character for me. I'm always up and out by 9.30am but I have no motivation and I just want to cry! Dh is treating me like I'm just a lazy bastard.
Is this normal, I'm 9+4 :-(

WhyTheHeckMe · 24/09/2017 12:39

Meant to say I've only felt like this for a week or so, so it's quite a new symptom

MissYeti · 24/09/2017 13:08

@whytheheckme ive been having super fatigue for about 3 weeks now! I go for an afternoon nap as soon as I get home from uni and still sleep a full night each night! Yesterday was the first time that I managed not to nap! I'm 9+5 today

Sam91TRS15 · 24/09/2017 15:43

I really struggled around then, couldnt focus at all for weeks! I'm starting to feel much less tired now at week 13! It does get better!

LivLemler · 24/09/2017 17:51

Why one of my friends was in bed by 7 every day of her first trimester. I've no idea how she actually managed that given her commute! But yes, some people really do struggle with fatigue. I know sometimes when I have a (non-pregnant) day on the sofa, I feel tired but I'm actually just sleepy and in a bit of a rut. So maybe see if getting up and having a short walk helps? I'm guessing you're just wrecked from growing a person though. Flowers

Thelostsock · 24/09/2017 17:59

@WhyTheHeckMe yep pretty much from 6 weeks on I was in bed the second I got home from work, and then all weekend. Completely and utterly drained and there was no ignoring it and soldering on. I'm feeling better now, finally, at 14 weeks.

It's really frustrating as it feels so lazy but absolutely nothing to be done about it. My DH was very understanding at the beginning but has said since I've been more awake in the evenings that he enjoys having me back!

Sunshinesaz86 · 24/09/2017 18:40

Thanks for the messages ladies. Your all very kind.

Well I finally have a scan booked for Tuesday morning to see what is what. I ended up speaking to the sister on the gynae ward on Saturday morning, who wasn't happy EPU basically said sit tight with no follow up. She also advised I go to OOH which I did dr checked me over. Couldn't get me seen any sooner by EPU/gynae.
No more bleeding since Friday but a bit of brown when wiping earlier. I swear I have a kidney infection as have got a constant niggling on the left side of my back. So going to also speak to mw tomoro to see if I can just get precautionary antibiotics. I feel ok no more pain but this niggling. I'll be glad for Tuesday to come round to see if baby is ok or not.

fitbitbore · 24/09/2017 21:25

@Sunshinesaz86 glad your ok and have a scan sorted.

I bled for 7 weeks in my last pregnancy and I've bled a few times in this one too, it doesn't always mean the worst!!!
