thePA · 02/04/2007 00:38

Night

IsabellyMoi · 02/04/2007 05:47

Morning everyone! Can't sleep - the bump is wriggling around too much

First things first: thanks to thePA for all the email updates and for keeping us all organized. Very much appreciated.

Bubblez - thank you SO much for sharing the birth story - even though it was so scary. Hope the debrief with MWs go well and is helpful rather than traumatic. What an experience you had!! Your girls are beautiful - I'm afraid I don't have any great suggestions for girls' names (I do like Elizabeth shortened to Libby though - very cute. I'm Elizabeth and it is a nice flexible name with so many variations...I go by Beth).

Lesley - sorry to hear about your friend - very hard situation for everyone. Hugs to you.

SOSPL - how was the 'homecoming'? Hope B reacted well and it was a happy reunion for all!

May go back to bed and see if I can sleep some more...

weeonion · 02/04/2007 06:36

good morning folks - another one who couldnt sleep. mild cramps all night - dont think it is anything exciting tho' - just a result of over doing it yesterday. do you think we will have 8 babies this week??????

Eddas · 02/04/2007 07:42

It's me, still here, no baby!!!

EAH will be in her element when she's sees this title!!!

I have had a really uncomfortable nights sleep and things are definatley moving in the right direction. Nothing too exciting but all good signs. Is feeling like you need to poo, but don't a good sign? or is it just annoying

Woke up at 6.30 and bump was really really hard. Not like BH, just so hard it hurt.

Oh and so far my mobile's been on for 5 mins and i've had my first 'have you had it' text of the day. I cannot reply yet, so f pissed off with that question

weeonion · 02/04/2007 07:46

folks - just remembered - dooby was due to go in last night to have section on monday. havent heard from her in a few days so hope everything is still ok. we should have another baby today then!!!

Katy44 · 02/04/2007 07:46

Morning everyone
bubblez, thanks for sharing your story and posting pictures - baby girl is lovely!
Have a friend coming up for the day (she had a baby in Feb) and I'm really excited!!!

Emmymummy · 02/04/2007 07:49

Morning - Ellie & Pesha, hope you're having lie-ins this morning. Can't believe how late you stay up! By 1am I have generally been to sleep, woken up for a wee and am in bed tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep again. Feel totally shite today, lacking in sleep & motivation. And it's the Easter hols and have to entertain Em all day. She is such a live-wire which is usually great, but when you just want to slob around on the sofa it's a nightmare. Popping out to see my new NCT buddies this morning with DCs in tow. Should be interesting as they've all got boys - will Em try to dominate them? You bet she will! Go girl!

Then will hopefully invite my neighbours and their DCs over this afternoon if they're around. This is always a good idea as all the kids can be chucked out into the garden to play whilst the mummies drink tea and eat biscuits. Am so lucky to have completely fab neighbours .

Hope you are all OK today. Bubblez - very, very cute pictures, thank you for posting those. Hope your debrief with the MWs isn't too traumatic.

Lesley - I'm so sorry about your friend. I hope you can take some comfort from the fact that you spoke to her last week and told her how you felt about her. Keep strong honey xxx

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 07:55

Morning all

Sorry if you're eating breakfast, but I need to ask something of a, ahem, personal nature Is going to the toilet 4 times (and not for a wee) in an hour a sign of some sort? Its not diarhoea(sp?), and I don't feel unwell, apart from usual pregnancy stuff.
Really don't want to get my hopes up, esp after Saturday, so all advice needed please.
And it would be very handy if this was a sign, as dh is only in Swansea today

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 07:57

And I've got some pressure in my bum but not the same as needing the toilet iyswim

Eddas · 02/04/2007 07:58

Runny, this doesn't help, but as per my earlier post, i too feel the need to poo but don't when i sit on the loo

I am very much hoping it is a sign

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 08:03

Hi Eddas - just caught up on the posts - reassuring to know I'm not on my own When the mw examined me on Sat, she said the babys head was really low down, which doesn't usually happen in second pregnancies til labour So I'm hoping they're all good signs.

Eddas · 02/04/2007 08:06

That sounds good. I'm trying not to get my hopes up for an arrival anytime soon but it's really hard. I never had any of these feelings with dd. Just went overdue and was induced so it's very strange.

Can everyone send my baby get out vibes pleeeeease

Thanks

nellyhel · 02/04/2007 08:10

Morning! especially to fellow early risers. Taken me ages to catch up on yesterday's posts - really shouldn't have a day off mn! I have the most awful sore throat and cold so am now hoping to get rid of it before it's my turn instead of wishing baby would hurry up!

LesleyR - sorry you are having such a sad time just now.

Eddas - I'm thinking about getting a sign on my back that says "Not due until 13th, leave me alone!". Then it will be changed to "Don't risk your life speaking to me - I was due Friday". And that feeling like you need to poo feeling - I had the night before I had ds, mw said it was waters pushing down. BUT also had that feeling last week so suppose it was just the head this time? Good luck getting through today one way or the other!!

EllieK - thanks for emails

I've been interrupted so many times trying to post that I have forgotten what else I meant to say. Thanks to those sharing stores and pictures, great to hear how you are getting on and see some actual real babies!

It is fab not to be getting ready for school today and looks like being another sunny day. Hope you all have a good one. And - come on babies, it is April now you know!!

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 08:12

Bubblez - Thank you for the photos. Your children are gorgeous Not sure who was talking about the name Elizabeth, but I really like it. Can be used so many different ways. We can't use it though because one of dh sister is called it. She shortens it to Lizzie, which really suits her.

Lesley - Sorry to hear of your friend We're here for you x

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 08:16

Eddas - Exactly the same thing happened with me and ds, so in some respects I feel like a first timer iyswim. Kept apologising to the mw because I felt like I should be able to recognise the signs - she told me to stop saying sorry(!)

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 08:17

And I've still got a week to go!

Ds is up, and there's an interesting smell coming from his bottom.....

nellyhel · 02/04/2007 08:20

xpost with everyone as usual, with dc's interruptions!!

Runny and eddas - honestly don't want to put a downer on you, but my second engaged about 36 weeks and was still 3 days late. I was expecting to go any minute from then and it was the longest time ever! First pg on the other hand didn't engage - arrived at hospital and they still didn't think she was which was scary for a bit! Fingers crossed for you both today, sending lots of baby vibes...

Eddas · 02/04/2007 08:25

Interesting or disgusting smell runny?

Glad to hear it's not just me as a 2nd timer feeling a complete der that i'm not sure about these feelings I just know that it's different.

Nelly, I want those t-shirts too! Can mine now say, 'it's due today, now run before my waters break!'

And now i'm excited that it really might come soon, although TMI but i have just had a poo so maybe i just needed to go

I don't expect the baby will be here today, how many babies come on their due date

I wish i was up to doing something to take my mind off of it, argh why can't the mw/doctors tell you exactly when it's coming, not too much to ask is it

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 08:26

nelly - I have been thinking that Just going to keep myself busy (either with housework, or MN )

runnyhabbit · 02/04/2007 08:27

wasn't just a smell - must get it from his dad
