ShowOfHands · 27/03/2007 10:56

Yes was wondering about TYG myself. She can't possibly be working, so where the devil is she?

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 10:57

I may text again, then email, may seem stalkersish but she is not noramlly quiet for so long...

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 11:00

I just texted again.....

Gingerbear · 27/03/2007 11:03

I am same as you dejags - never quite sure which way the baby is lying. Lots of movements and mostly posterior lie- lots of kicks and pokes around my belly button.
I have another appointment on Friday, hopefully will be able to have more info then.

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 11:04

Aha! She has come back to me.....working far too hard by the sounds of it. Hope those lovely pressies go some way to a big thank you for her when she leaves work. Bloomin stressful job

Pinkjenny · 27/03/2007 11:11

My LO hasn't moved for weeks. She's transverse, her head is under my right rib and her j-lo bum is in my left hand side.

Still plenty of time to turn.

Can anyone answer my question from this morning about puffy fingers? Should I get my wedding ring sized?

Great news about tyg. We are a bunch of worriers.

Pinkjenny · 27/03/2007 11:12

I didn't mean she hadn't kicked for weeks! Just hasn't changed position...

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 11:16

Forgot to say Pink, i love the name Natasha. I used to look after a very cute little Natasha and her sister Francesca.

My rings still fit but dont normally by now, i would just take them off and wear around your neck. The swelling goes within a week of having the baby, it does get much worse before it gets better though after the baby is born. No one tells you that.

Pinkjenny · 27/03/2007 11:18

There's lots that people don't tell you LG&T! Like incontinence, fat dimply thighs, big fat bum, dizziness, etc etc.

I just thought I'd get a big tummy!

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 11:23

Pink.....you do just get a big tummy???!!! Dont you?

ShowOfHands · 27/03/2007 11:44

I have taken my wedding and engagement rings off and wear them on my necklace. I don't want to have them cut off towards the end! I have been assured that my fingers will shrink back down- it's just fluid retention.

Glad TYG's okay. I'm considering going home sick- unheard of for me- feel shocking today. Don't know if lack of sleep and tummy ache is a good enough reason though! Can I swing it do you reckon?

Pinkjenny · 27/03/2007 11:50

Go for it. What are they going to do? You're pregnant.

Get yourself on the couch and chill out for the rest of the day. I'll write a snotty letter to your employers if they are awkward.

ShowOfHands · 27/03/2007 11:56

Colleague just asked if I was alright, looked at my stomach and it moved visibly in a big leaping motion. I winced and told him no. The baby seems to be on top of my lower rib cage, not under it. Does that sound right? I can feel her bum and feet on top of the floating ribs and pushing upwards- pushing her head further down. Ow.

cinnamontam · 27/03/2007 12:26

Go home woman! If the weather is sunny up where you are like it is down in London then take yourself home, plonk yourself down next to the babbling brook with a good book, lots of gingerbread and chill out!! You deserve it xx

cinnamontam · 27/03/2007 12:28

SCOOT! I've just sent you a CAT to get your address so I can send you a copy of the hippo birthing CD

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/03/2007 13:51

Afternoon all....... Soooo sorry about the week commencing thing, DOh, brain obviously wasn't working at 8am, 7am your time. It came up on my google auto fill and I only changed the date not the month, sorry.

Sorry I missed you on MSN, lg&t.
Took H to the hospital. He has been seeing the consultant for nearly a year now as he has a problem with his right eye lid. We thought it was stye's but apparently they are some kind of cyst, M something that I can't pronounce, but I think it is basically a build up of muck and his tear ducts get blocked. He has to have a bloodtest this afternoon to check glyciymi levels? and then an eye test for vision in 2 weeks time incase the eye is stressed? I think they are grabbing at straws to be honest but they will try to rule out everything before surgery on a 4 yr old. Poor lad, he's had nearly a year of drops and creams in his eye.

glad you've heard form TYG and she is ok. Sorry you are both feeling rough SOH and Lupins, not long now.

Hold fire on your rings pinkjenny. Mine have to come off at night but are ok still during the day. Won't be long though until they will be left on the bedside cabinet until end of May.

Oh my god I have some NEWS! I bought two packs of pampers newborn nappies today. Blimey I am getting organised. lol

Right, off to the lab for our blood tests. Fortunately I have my mthly one due too so H and I are going together. Hope he doesn't throw a flid.

Thanks JB - I'll refrain from having them sized at the mo. Just not sure whether it is actually fluid retention or just general weight gain!

Just mooching on other pregnancy threads and found one which is about having a gender preference. Some of the responses were so aggressive, it freaked me out a bit.

We're a lovely bunch.

What's the latest on meggle, I can't find a thread with an update on?

ShowOfHands · 27/03/2007 14:00

I have 140 newborn Huggies! Given to me by various friends who had too many. They're so tiny! I honestly will use the reusables, but it's handy to have a back-up.

Won 3 grobags on ebay for £5, pretty pleased with that too. Have now spent about £14 on this baby.

Decided against going home, really have got a lot to do before I go on mat. leave.

ShowOfHands · 27/03/2007 14:02

meggle's thread

madeindevon · 27/03/2007 14:20

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 16:34

Have trawled through 2 boxes of baby clothes and fished out all the tiny ickle things to take with me to Plym! They are sooooo tiny i just cant believe it. I feel quite organised now

I just need to pack a hospital bag probably should have done that really but have been busy in prem labour Now i cant go out to get anything, dont really want to send dh off to Boots with a list for giant disposable pants and nappies for ladies, let alone the breast pads.......

SOH you should have gone home for a rest.

Lupins good luck at the docs, hope you get some physio.

Am soooooo bored, would like a walk along the beach....., i know, i know....im not going

ShowOfHands · 27/03/2007 16:53

Please send DH out with list. Please.

Lupins Like 'hoofing movements' as a description, just didn't expect them on top of my ribs. Weird. Glad blood sugar's ok and well done on GP appointment. Have packed a dress you sent me into the hospital bag!

largeginandtonic · 27/03/2007 16:57

Have any of you read the due in april thread today, i have been a lurker as one of the multiple ladies posts on there and she was due her section today. THREE of them have had their babies today, section for the twins this morning, undiagnosed breech at home AND a baby born in the car too!!!!! Hope WE are not that entertaining

cinnamontam · 27/03/2007 17:15

Oh contraire - I think we will deliver way more drama

Just had an email from Notsolikel. She was in the States visiting her family, then the internet went kaput at home and this weekend they are off to Germany to visit her inlaws for 3 weeks so she hasn't had any luck getting online.

She and Bean are doing very well, she has 9 weeks to go before her CS and she said to say hello to everyone. I'm just enormously relieved everything is ok. No news never seems like good news when pregnancy hormones are around
