@calimommy what info do we need to send you via email so you know it's us to add to the group? I want to join! Smile

calimommy · 09/08/2017 14:52

archie just email me and I'll respond to you.

fluffywallow · 10/08/2017 08:10

First day of maternity leave today Smile, pleased to have finished and all being well have a few weeks to focus on baby prep before she arrives!

And hopefully it'll stop raining one day soon....

ememem84 · 10/08/2017 08:47

33 weeks today! Eeeek. 5 weeks worth of work left. And my mat leave Ian sorted. Finally.

Now have to start sorting childcare - visiting a nursery next week with the idea of enrolling baby boy for may 2018. Hardly anywhere here has spaces so it's apparently important to get in early.

n0ne · 10/08/2017 08:54

First day of maternity leave for me too! Got loads still to sort, baby clothes, hospital bag, but also household stuff we've been putting off for ages like curtains in the front room, carpet on the stairs, getting the electrics sorted, new dining room chairs and a sofa... Nothing like having a baby to give a kick up the bum to procrastinators like us!!

n0ne · 10/08/2017 09:02

Oh, and I haven't posted in literally months (pretty active on FB group, though) so hi again, everybody! Due date 7th Sep, don't know if boy/girl :)

WhatwouldRuthdo · 10/08/2017 09:25

I've emailed you as well calimommy.

The start of so many maternity leaves means these babies are very close. I'm thoroughly enjoying not being at work, though finding entertaining a 3 year old hard work when he's not at nursery. I'm looking forward to being able to roll over in bed without pain and getting rid of the carpal tunnel! Hope everyone else is doing ok in these final weeks.

ChocolateTorte · 10/08/2017 17:01

Hope its ok to join belatedly; my due date is officially 1st October but I have Gestational Diabetes so I may be induced earlier and my first baby was also born a couple of weeks early.

I'm also going to email you calimommy about joining the FB group.

babysurprise14 · 11/08/2017 03:17

Hi Ladies I'm a late arrival sorry but now it all feels a little bit real......currently 35+5 due 11th September with a little girl who is currently moving around like crazy which woke me up!
Will email you Cali as would love to join the Facebook group.
Finished work on Friday so now the fun begins......or sleep!
No real signs that lil one is coming anytime soon but we shall wait and see.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Sarah x

Is anyone else experiencing sickness at this late stage? I'm 36 weeks now and twice in the last week I've been very sick in the middle of the night :( bad heartburn and probably eating too much but it's quite unpleasant

Lules · 13/08/2017 19:22

Yes, but I never stopped being sick. It is probably heartburn. I take omeprazole for it which works really well.

londonfeather · 13/08/2017 20:20

36+4 here today and it feels like baby is trying to swim out of my foof. Very unpleasant! Anyone having anything similar? Baby is so strong!

fluffywallow · 13/08/2017 20:48

Yes London!! If I sit down on a hard surface I almost feel like I'm pushing baby back up Blush, she's very very low down!

I really feel for those of you still being sick, not long now.

Last growth scan, all being well, tomorrow - if we make it through this one I am hopeful we'll get to our planned delivery date of 4th September in 3 weeks Shock

calimommy · 14/08/2017 04:22

badger I'm having a resurrection of my reflux and nausea as well. It's gotten quite bad especially at night. I had it throughout my previous two but it seemed to calm down this time and I was eating less sugar which usually sets me off. One of the other mums mentioned that it can be due to baby's lungs developing around the 36 week mark and the hormones associated with that. I'll buy it, because I can't think of anything else that I'm doing differently!

babysurprise14 · 14/08/2017 07:13

@badger82 @calimommy wow I feel the same I get severe reflux at night and feel so sick, luckily by the morning it has eased.
I'm 36 weeks and I get nothing but constant movement and sometimes it feels so tight and hard that I think she is going to come out! I actually looked on here for advice as it doesn't stop for hours 😬

Babyblues14 · 15/08/2017 19:59

35 + 1 today and had the worst night of my pregnancy so far last night. Took me 5 and a half hours to get to sleep last night and lots of vomiting. On the plus side I'm already on maternity leave and seem to have lots of energy to clean lately. Still no motivation to do hospital bag though Confused

WhiteLily86 · 15/08/2017 21:46

Cali I have emailed you about FB group - time to get back active on Fb, even just to catch up with all the mummies!

London - yes and it is so hard to describe the uncomfortable feeling without saying I feel like it is trying to come out. Cue funny looks from people!

Lules - I got same drugs for heartburn and they are really good, I only take once every few days and has made a difference.

3 weeks to go, another week and half of work and baby's nursery currently resembles a construction site and am renovating a flat to rent out before then too. Don't do things by half here. Baby really can't come early....😬

Hope everyone is enjoying the last month or two!

fluffywallow · 17/08/2017 14:47

Afternoon all - how's everyone doing?

I am utterly fed up. Achy. Sore. Bruised. Tired.

37 weeks tomorrow - really in the final slog now!

calimommy · 17/08/2017 14:57

37 tomorrow too! My children slept last night and I feel aaaaamazing for it this am. Not energetic or anything crazy like that but no sleep-hangover at least. fluffy are you progressing in anyway? My doc said I was fully effaced but not dilated. I'm hoping that changes... on the raspberry leaf tea and walking (a tiny bit). 😝 I said I felt guilty about wishing it was soon because it's still early yet and she was fairly non plussed haha "meh, babies born now do fine".

whitelily did you get on the group?

fluffywallow · 17/08/2017 15:59

Sounds positive Cali! Hopefully baby won't make you wait much longer. Did you say your other children have been early too?

All I know is that she is really low down...other than that not a clue. Had a scan on Monday and she's growing well - the opposite of my first DD at this stage, so that's a relief at least. My cs is 2 weeks Monday so just have to survive these next couple of weeks - feels sooooo long away though Sad

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 17/08/2017 21:35

Need to read the thread a bit to catch up, but I wanted to drop in and say hi.

badger - my nausea has come back a little too. I'm putting it down to a combination of heartburn/reflux and struggling to eat decent amounts of food. There just isn't room for anything other than small portions!! I'm probably only eating half portions, and if I don't eat every few hours (I honestly forget to eat at times - my appetite has really dwindled!!) then I start to feel really sick and have to force feed myself.

Nausea aside, I think I've hit my blooming stage!!! I'm 35 + 1 now so it's a bit late, but never late than never I suppose!!
In the last few days / week my SPD has really improved. Don't get me wrong I'm still in pain, but it's NOWHERE NEAR as bad as it was before. My pains gone from about a 7/8 (10 being in labour, no pain relief, feeling the 'burn' as you try and push the head out!!) to about a 2!!! And, AND I actually have rosy cheeks!!! I look well!! I'd almost go as far as saying I have a twinkle in my eye at the moment!!

I can only assume this late blooming stage is a surge of hormones prior to delivery to help me get through nesting / labour.

londonfeather · 21/08/2017 11:29

How is everyone doing? I'm so so uncomfortable all the time!

fluffywallow · 21/08/2017 14:45

Hi London! Counting down the days - cs two weeks today Smilefeeling ok but feel so achy by evening. I followed some advice on here and got a litter picker - it's amazing, no more struggling to bend down to pick up dd's toys, best £4 I've spent in a long time!

I'm sure someone on this thread is having their cs today - good luck if so.

calimommy · 21/08/2017 22:15

We've another few babies born, two more boys and another girl. So far the boys are in the lead 😂💙💜

StarWish1 · 26/08/2017 16:05

My gorgeous gorgeous baby boy is here 😊 Won't post a pic as it'll out me but he's perfect in every way (of course!Smile) born by cs on 23rd August - date was pushed back by a day due to emergencies. Now in a very happy but tired newborn blur. Good luck everyone else with your births. It's so amazing when you finally get to hold them x
