Oh lovely Lules, hope it helps you feel better now you can get some rest Flowers

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 27/07/2017 18:32

How is everyone today?

I think I'll be having a shower and an early night tonight. I have lower back ache like I'm about to come on. Small amount of aches at bottom of bump too. I feel quite nauseous at the moment as well, but I'm putting that down to not eating enough today so I'm currently forcing myself to eat dinner! Yay!

ArchieStar · 27/07/2017 22:26

Having a slight panic ladies... lay on my bed wearing a pad and crossing my fingers that it's just my bladder weakening and not my waters breaking via a trickle!!!

Contacted labour ward and they said to ring back in an hour if my pad has filled at all Sad DD2 may be coming sooner than I want her too! 31 weeks tomorrow please if you're reading this keep your fingers crossed that everything will be ok. High risk pregnancy thanks to endometriosis and fibromyalgia. Gah.

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 28/07/2017 00:44

Keeping my fingers crossed for you ArchieStar.

ArchieStar · 28/07/2017 03:03

Thank you Coldfeet luckily it's a false alarm!!

fluffywallow · 28/07/2017 07:29

Glad you're ok Archie!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 28/07/2017 09:19

These babies do like to keep us on our toes!!

StarWish1 · 28/07/2017 09:20

Glad you're ok Archie and hope you're taking it easy today.
I'm feeling quite uncomfortable and having quite a bit of back ache too.
Trying to get stuff for the nursery organised this week - need to paint and change the carpet

ArchieStar · 28/07/2017 16:21

Thank you all!

Star you need to rest up when you're getting pain too remember. Nursery can be done a bit at a time!

fluffywallow · 29/07/2017 08:24

34+1 eeeek!! When I get to 35 weeks I'm going up in the loft to get all the baby's stuff out - think it'll feel SO real then. 5 weeks Monday until cs day Confused

Hope everyone is having nice restful weekends!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 29/07/2017 12:52

fluffy that's what we are doing this weekend. DH got lots of stuff out of the loft for me on Thursday. I've been going through bags of clothes that we've kept from DD - I have about 3-4 wash loads of neutral clothes now. I need to go through that pile a bit more in depth to count up how many vests, babygros etc I have in each size so I know what I need to buy. I need to send DH back into the loft though as I'm sure there is at least one bag of stuff missing. I want him to find my tens machine as well.

32 + 3 today :-)

Beachbaby2017 · 29/07/2017 16:02

Hi, can I join in as we all reach the home stretch?

I'm 33 weeks with my first. I'm sitting at my desk trying to work (desperately trying to finish my course before the baby gets here) and I swear the baby grew so much overnight that he doesn't fit anymore when I'm sitting - I have some feet wedged solidly in my ribs.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Tessa84 · 29/07/2017 17:22

Hello!

Latecomer to the thread as newbie here :) 32+5 with my first! All getting very real now.. have a huge Amazon shopping list.. a click away of purchase! Eeeek

Regards to all xx

Lules · 29/07/2017 17:48

Hi beach and tessa

I've been in such a grump today. Felt really sick this morning and my pelvis hurts so it hurts to sit and play on the floor. Tried going for a walk but it was pouring with rain and my toddler did not appreciate it. Running out of entertainment ideas.

fluffywallow · 29/07/2017 18:52

Lules I hear you!! Playing with a toddler is not pregnancy friendly - there is just stuff on the floor constantly which is sooooo hard to pick up Confused

Cold enjoy the big sort out - it's satisfying once it's done (I've done clothes, just need to sort out Moses basket, baby bath etc....)

Welcome newcomers!

ArchieStar · 29/07/2017 20:50

Hey all!!

I LOVE the big sort out!!!

We have DDs wardrobe up ready to go, loads of other bits waiting in the attic for nearer the time and a swinging crib that is missing a mattress right now Grin

Gotta love baby bits!!

Tessa84 · 29/07/2017 21:23

Lules! Stay strong! I have felt so tired and achy.. and I don't have to care for a toddler :(:( poor you

Regarding the sort out.. I keep worrying that I'm forgetting things to buy and won't be ready..! But I guess shops will keep selling after baby is born too Grin

WhatwouldRuthdo · 30/07/2017 07:19

It's so easy to drop off of this thread! welcome beach and tessa

I sympathise with trying to entertain an older child Lules. I've been on mat leave for a week and it is definitely harder trying to entertain very active DS than be at work! Particularly with the crappy weather. Though at least he bends down and picks up things for me that I drop. 36 weeks today so finishing line is in sight.

SayItIsntSo1 · 30/07/2017 07:28

I'm so jealous of those starting to get sorted. I think we were pretty close to everything being ready for dd at this point, but most things are going to have to wait until 2 weeks prior this time. Our new kitchen and dining room means stuff is everywhere and we're also changing the living room flooring which is just about the last thing DHs head can cope with!

I have this next week to get through at work and then only really have 2 weeks left in the office. I cannot wait Grin. Still can't wrap my head around us actually having a new baby in 7-8 weeks time though...

32wks tomorrow.

mophie1306 · 30/07/2017 08:00

Hi
I was wondering if there was a FB group :) could you post the link? Thanks!!

mophie1306 · 30/07/2017 08:04

Hi all
Really new here and 33 weeks. I just wondered what the pros/ cons are of ELCS?

Lules · 30/07/2017 18:07

Is it your first baby mophie? Is there anything in particular you are worried about/wanting to avoid?

I'm aiming for a VBAC but others on this thread are having an ELCS. The biggest disadvantage is the slower recovery - it's major surgery. You can't pick up heavy things (inc older children) or drive for a few weeks. That's what's swung it for me. There is also a higher risk of the baby having breathing problems straight after birth.

Advantages are it's calm, planned, you avoid the risks of vaginal birth like incontinence issues and you might end up with an EMCS anyway.

Heyitsholly · 30/07/2017 18:28

Hello all. Just found the new thread.
Any newbies wanting to come and chat on the facebook thread then send me a message with your facebook name and info on your pic so i can send you a friend request and add you.
32 weeks and so ready for it to be over!

Heyitsholly · 30/07/2017 18:33

Elcs can limit your amount of future births.
Harder to recover. I couldnt laugh without feeling i was going to rip open after my emergency one. Cant drive for 6 weeks after. Can lead to internal scarring which causes problems in other births.
I was considering one as they ate convienient as you can know roughly when but im gonna try for a water vbac!

londonfeather · 30/07/2017 18:41

How are you feeling today Archie?
