I am 34w+6d & due 10Sep & this is our first. Anyone delivering at NHS St Thomas in London?

Beachbaby2017 · 05/08/2017 15:17

I'm 34 weeks today.

Can't believe babies are arriving already!

I'm really uncomfortable today. My intercostal muscles on my right side are so sore and it's really hard to move myself around - sitting to standing, rolling over, etc.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 05/08/2017 17:25

Babies are here already?! Wow.

I'm due 27th August (got brought forward from Sept at my scan) and that seems soon enough to me. Though am definitely over being pregnant now. 37 weeks tomorrow.

RealBabyFoodBaby · 05/08/2017 17:54

Also 20th September ☺️ 33 +3 today

londonfeather · 05/08/2017 18:27

Babies arriving! It's all getting real!

35+3 today, due 6 Sept so a month tomorrow!

Shewhojuggles · 06/08/2017 10:03

Morning ladies, can't believe babies are arriving! Hope everyone is feeling like the end is finally in sight! I dropped off after being on this thread early on. I'm due 14 Sept so currently 34+3. Does anyone have advice on nursing bras please? I'm really struggling with the pain in my right rib and generally taking bra off the minute I get home! Is it too soon to get fitted for a softer, comfier nursing bra? My worry is that they won't fit once milk comes in. Also any tips on where to get fitted for bigger sizes would be fab please!

fluffywallow · 06/08/2017 10:53

So here's the list so far - exciting we've got some due very very soon! Can't quite believe it Smile

Whatwould - 27th August
Star - 29th August - CS booked for 22nd August
Essential - 4th September
London - 6th September
Cali - 8th September
Fluffy - 8th September - CS booked 4th September
Sweet - 10th September
Shewho - 14th September
Tessa - 18th September
Realbaby - 20th September
Mophie - 20th September
Cold - 20th September
Lules - 23rd September
Say - 25th September - hoping for CS at 39 weeks

EssentialHummus · 06/08/2017 11:01

Oh wow fluffy - now feeling very soon!

In other news, have sorted a pram/carrycot after literally eight months of back and forth about which brand, what we need, new/used etc. Have gone for a Cosatto in the end, new but on special at TrUs. It seems user-friendly enough, hope it serves us well.

I keep watching the new threads but haven't really been on since the first few. Can I please join the fb group? 35 weeks today, cs booked for the 4th, looks like there's a few of us.

Tessa84 · 06/08/2017 11:50

@shewhojuggles I have been using nursing bras sing around week 20. They have a huge give away, as straps and back are.way more.adjustable.than standard bras. Super comfy. The material is also quite.stretchy and the woman who fitted me.thought they would serve me till the end. Will see. Even if they don't I won't regret the expense as will use them.on my way back to my size and they have been very comfortable. Had fitting in John Lewis. Fitting was super but very few bras to choose from..

WhatwouldRuthdo · 06/08/2017 11:57

Thanks for the list fluffy. Being at the top of it scares the life out of me, though I can see Star has her c-section booked in first.

Nursing bra wise I got fitted first at mothercare and it was awful. Went this week to m&s and it was a lot better, though they recommend not getting fitted for the bras you will actually use post baby until after 36 weeks.

ArchieStar · 06/08/2017 12:08

Amazing that babies are here already!! I hope mums and babies are doing well!

I'm due 29th :) though I may be losing my mucous plug as we speak Confused so she may appear sooner, eeeek.

How are we all?

WhiteLily86 · 07/08/2017 14:51

Ahhh babies arriving already...makes it so real.

I am due date buddies with london on the 6th sept. Although this baby can't come any earlier pleading with unborn baby as we are nowhere near ready and I don't finish work until the week before. I have a lot to do before then Confused

Another one who hasn't stepped on scales since about May and I was a stone up then. Although did lose my appetite and the constant heartburn means I probably am not eating as much as I should be.

EssentialHummus · 07/08/2017 14:56

white same here - due on the 4th and she had better stay in there for now as we're still trying to finish a renovation! Confused

ememem84 · 07/08/2017 20:12

elpinguino · 08/08/2017 09:50

Hi there everyone, sorry to be so late joining, but this is getting quite real now and it'd be lovely to chat to others who are expecting soon! I'm 36+2, due on 3rd September which is really rather soon! Cali I have emailed you re joining Facebook group too, hope that's ok. Hope you're all enjoying these last few weeks of pregnancy and are not too uncomfortable.

rollingonwheels · 08/08/2017 17:05

Hiya everyone, I posted a while back introducing myself but haven't followed the thread for a while. How's everyone getting on? I think there was a few with the same due date of September 8th? Have I missed anyone who have had their baby early?
I've had lots of things going on, bleeds, Steroid injections, been on clexane for a few months, strep b, etc etc. I've got a c section booked in early for 21st August! So having an August baby now and not a September baby! I take a lot of strong medication & with my conditions playing up, they doing the section at 37 weeks 3 days, safest for me and baby. (At my 34 w scan baby measured 39 weeks!)

Anyone have any scan or bump pics to share?
Hope you and babies are all as well as possible. Look forward to hearing from you all!

rollingonwheels · 08/08/2017 17:08

Is it fluffy and Cali with same due date as me? September 8th? How are you both?
(No longer September baby here though, c section 21st August)

Travelgeek · 08/08/2017 19:00

Hi rolling, I'm a sept 8 due date too! There are a few of us. Not been on here much lately though. Sorry you've had such a rough time. Not long until you meet your little one now though and it must be good to know the date rather than a rather vague window of time when it might happen. How are you feeling? I have great days and absolutely shattered days, so looking foward to finishing work so I can clean and organize. I'm not prepared for an early arrival!

fluffywallow · 08/08/2017 19:44

Hi rolling! I am indeed another 8th September due date but having a cs on the 4th due to complications in my first labour.

It sounds like you've been through a very eventful pregnancy...expect you are more than ready for baby! Not long at all to wait Smile

fluffywallow · 08/08/2017 19:50

To actually answer your question though - I am ok ish, feeling massive and baby has her bum in my ribs which hurts! Finish work tomorrow though so I'm pleased to reach that milestone Smile

calimommy · 08/08/2017 20:22

Hi rolling yup sept 8th although I hope I don't see it. I'm not as big as I was with my other two but I'm feeling so tired now and my legs and feet are heavy and full of fluid. It's hot here so at least it's just flip flops otherwise I would have had to probably buy new shoes because I can't even fit into my runners anymore! 🙈 looking forward to getting my body back and meeting my little man but also nervous about having three to mind... also this is likely my last pregnancy so I'm trying to enjoy it and not wish it away like I did the others!

Just to let everyone know, we have THREE babies now 😍 two gents and a lady 💙💙💜

If anyone still wants to join the group email me: [email protected]

Once September arrives we likely won't allow new members to the Facebook group, just to keep it slightly more secure and private. I know this is all social media and anyone can be anyone but it will at least limit exposure a bit.

Been gone offline for a week myself and I'm surprised we have babies arriving! Wow! Cant wait for the rest of them to come around safely. Been running around doing blood tests and few visits to the triage as I've been diagnosed with OC unfortunately last week and everything is still up in the air...I have no idea if I'll be induced early or what the plan is, tbh the hospital doesnt seem to have a clue either. My due date is on the 11th of sept anyways..so close.
@calimommy I sent you an email..hope you got it x

SayItIsntSo1 · 09/08/2017 08:59

@Calimommy I just emailed you, hopefully you got it and I have given you the right info' to add me to the fb group!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok. I am soooo on the count down to maternity leave. 8 days in the office including today and hopefully 3 weeks until I get my section date confirmed!

I've had a couple of days off this week and it's been great to potter around and have some time to myself. I sat in the supermarket cafe yesterday and read a magazine while I scoffed a pecan yum yum and drank decent coffee. A whole week off next week and no fixed plans other than a new kitchen being fitted... Grin
