So sorry lasurprise. Really shit. 💐

Flatwhite31 · 25/07/2017 13:24

So sorry @LaSurprise. Did they give you a reason for not checking your hcg blood levels? Sending lots of hugs your way. Xx

TeaAndPjs · 25/07/2017 14:42

So sorry lasurprise

NorthernBelly · 25/07/2017 14:56

@LaSurprise, I'm so sorry that it isn't good news and that you're still in limbo.

xxHappyHippyxx · 25/07/2017 15:13

Aw sorry @LaSurprise that's not fair.. definitely justified domino's again I'd say! It is two for Tuesday after all!! 🍕🍕

Thanks for clarifying @SS81C @ZylaB it's so confusing! It'd be easier if they just left the two weeks off, considering the amount of variation in people's cycles... The dates they've said make no sense to my cycle 😵 then again babies are unpredictable and could arrive any time so it's all just guesswork really and I suppose I should just get used to it lol

ZylaB · 25/07/2017 15:36

They'll do an official 'dating scan' at around 12 weeks as that's when baby is. If enough to take an accurate measurement and they're all about the same size then, so that'll be the due date to go with :)

Poochieblue · 25/07/2017 15:38

my heart is breaking for you ladies!!
@lasurprise I can't believe they're still leaving you in a kind of limbo!
Please all take care of your selves in whatever way you need to! X

BlueeSpottyTiger · 25/07/2017 15:38

lasurprise so so sorry to hear that sad news xx

I'm sat in the epu.. dr was abit concerned about my pelvic pain and slightly increased temp. So sent me for a scan to make sure it's not ectopic although i really do reckon that it is... or atleast something is wrong. The wait is 2-3hours 😑 so I'll update later xx

TeaAndPjs · 25/07/2017 15:40

Oh blue that's such a long wait when sitting about a hosp! Hope all is ok and you're seen soon

HazelRah · 25/07/2017 15:49

Super good luck Bluee! Let us know...
So sorry LaSurprise... Fingers crossed for the next scan.
Xx

whyhastherumgone · 25/07/2017 15:53

So sorry to everyone who has had bad news. Bluee that's such a long wait :( I hope you get in to be seen sooner than expected. Keep us updated and I really really hope it's positive news.

Flatwhite31 · 25/07/2017 16:24

Oh @BlueeSpottyTiger that's a long wait. Do you just sit and wait in a waiting room to pass the time? Fingers crossed for a positive outcome. Xx

hometownunicorn · 25/07/2017 16:25

So sorry to @LaSurprise and @BlueeSpottyTiger that's a horrible wait.

ChaoticKate · 25/07/2017 16:46

I feel quite bad posting after all the bad news today but I had my early scan this afternoon. Baby is measuring about 7+4, which makes sense as I thought I was 8+1 but my cycles are longer so I knew I'd be a week or so behind. It's 12.4mm long and has a heartbeat of 152 beats per minute. I nearly cried as I was so convinced there would be nothing there.

I'm so sorry to those ladies who are going through such a difficult time at the minute. I've been thinking of you all day and hoping you get good news rather than bad.

Flatwhite31 · 25/07/2017 17:01

That's great news @ChaoticKate Smile.

Is anyone else ridiculously exhausted? I'm on school hols thankfully, but even with the extra sleep I'm shattered. Having to force myself out of the house, as would just spend all day on the couch otherwise.

TeaAndPjs · 25/07/2017 17:13

Great news chaotic

flat I've been on my couch 90% of today as I am just done in

Jacqueje · 25/07/2017 17:24

so sorry to hear that @lasurprise, sounds really upsetting, hope you have lots of support around you.

WaitingTillJuly17 · 25/07/2017 17:29

I'm sorry to hear that LaSurprise I hope you're looking after yourself.

I've made my booking appointment with the midwife, she was booked up for when I reach 8 weeks so I'm going in at 7 weeks and I'm terribly excited even though it'll probably be boring!

Jacqueje · 25/07/2017 17:52

@chaotickate just saw your good news in your post, don't feel bad for sharing it!

I have had appointments through for booking and also dating scan, booking appt on 17th August when I'll be just over 8w and USS 12th September when I'll be just past 12w. Seems a long time away but also makes it seem a little bit more real having had the letters.

Oh also if anyone remembers my cheese issue when going to visit family members last weekend - so that didn't come up - no cheese served, but felt like I was rumbled by SIL anyway by the not drinking, she kept saying I looked "glowing". I really wasn't, normally I'm only getting little flashes of nausea because I can control what I eat but they served insane amounts of food and it made my nausea and bloating super bad. But maybe I'm wrong, it feels obvious to me but probably not others. And if they did suspect then they were at least discreet!

SS81C · 25/07/2017 18:03

Hope everything is ok Bluee.
Great news @chaotickate. Definitely don't feel bad for sharing. It's going to be a turbulent 9 months of ups and downs for everyone.
@flatwhite31....im ridiculously tired going to bed at 9, napping in the day when I can.
@jaqueje haha definitely sounds like your SIL is onto you-when else do we say people look glowing!!! Haha.
Booking appointment tomorrow - excited. Wondering if I need to take a wee sample?

stumblymonkeyagain · 25/07/2017 18:22

Do they tell you at the booking in appointment what risk level you come under and whether you can have home/midwife led or have to have Consultant led?

I'm just nosey...I'm fat, old and bipolar so I'll definitely be Consultant led BlushGrin

DancingUnicorn · 25/07/2017 18:26

Ss8 they will definitely want one, so either take one or be prepared to pee on arrival!!

Stumbly yes, I was told low risk midwife lead, but was assigned a consultant in case anything changes down the line.

Thinking about you bluee. Really hope everything is ok.

Great news chaotickate. I have a scan tomorrow evening. I'm feeling quite excited about it, which I'm hoping I don't end up regretting. Not till 7.40, so a looooooong day to wait.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 25/07/2017 19:43

Great news chaotic xx
I waited in a hospital room from 2.50pm to 5.30 without even being seen by anyone. I needed to have an assessment off the doctor before they could scan me. By the time that happened the sonographer had finished. As im so I'll with sickness and headaches aswell as this they wanted to keep me in over night to which i declined. So have to return at 8.30am for a scan at 8.45 so still non the wiser whats happening!
I feel awful anyway and stressed out now aswell.

SheSaidHeSaid · 25/07/2017 19:47

Evening everyone!

Busy day at work today so no chance to check here before now so just been catching up. Thinking of those who are having a tough time at the moment though.

One of my work friends, who knows I'm pregnant as I'm close to her and she guessed last week, said today that I definitely look pregnant. My stomach has really popped out and I know it's just bloat but I do look very much pregnant. I'm going to have to think carefully about work attire when I'm in the office because the game will be up to everyone else otherwise. My trousers are definitely uncomfortable now and boobs already looking much bigger (another of my friend's observations!). I really want to hold off on buying maternity clothes though because I'm still only 7+2 and anything could happen. Can't tell you what a relief it is when I get home though and can put baggy trousers on!

ChaoticKate · 25/07/2017 19:50

@DancingUnicorn That's very exciting! Just don't make the mistake I did and go overboard on the water beforehand. I was extremely uncomfortable and the sonography described my bladder as "immense". Bit embarrassing!
