Ousterbabe I've been living on white bread toast and Heinz Cream of Chicken soup. Meant to be following slimming world... not very friendly.

Miami81 · 05/05/2017 21:03

@Carley27
This was me last night. I went to the loo and suddenly there was blood. Had an epic meltdown, scan this morning confirmed all as it should be. I didn't sleep at all last night, I really feel for you. Try and distract yourself as much as you can. All the best and here for a hand hold if you need.

QueenEnid · 05/05/2017 22:29

Evening ladies. Sorry for the silence. Not feeling too well tonight so off to bed in a min

I've added all who have sent Pms so far 😊

@Carley27 hope you're doing ok. Rest up and call epu if you're worried. I know it's a scary thing but it is also quite common esp if it's spotting. Still. Much better to put your mind at ease. Hugs xxxx

Hope you're ok Carley. Thinking of you.

I'm just sat around waiting to go to the airport. Hoping my flight isn't delayed or cancelled due to the amount of rain there has been here.

DiveItLikeYouStoleIt · 05/05/2017 23:00

My mumsnet app went mad and I've completely missed everything for the last 24 or so hours, had to uninstall then reinstall it! Feel very out of the loop.
@Carley hope everything is ok.
@QueenEnid In the morning would you add me to the fb group too please.

Saw a chiropractor for the first time ever today. Was lovely. He did a weird manoeuvre to my hips and one made a very loud click and the pain I have had in each pregnancy around my sacrum appears to have eased up considerably! Amazing.
I'm right there with those craving the carbs and tonight at dinner my chicken made me want to throw up. Shame as it's the main protein in my diet.
Hope everyone is well and all the scans and booking appointments have been good. Smile

Sereniela · 06/05/2017 00:00

Had my booking appointment today... and the exact reason i've been stressing about the 'home visit' was basically verified today. It didn't help at all that the MW didn't seem to show any emotion or cheeriness either...

I know we have a lot of clutter and am working on it, and have months to sort it out properly, but it was bought up several times and written on my notes (with the aside of 'well, it's clean, but cluttered').
This is after i've gone through all the MH issues I have, so a bit of tact, or dealing with it a bit more sensitivly wouldn't have gone amiss.

I could see that mentioning it could have been helpful, but it came across as a scare tactic with the threats of how the HW won't like it.

So now i feel totally useless, that my house and lifestyle isn't good enough, so why am i even bothering?! I haven't felt so unhappy for a very long time and can't stop thinking/ crying about it. Sad

Mumoftheark · 06/05/2017 01:35

😭😭😭 either my morning sickness has started or I've caught my daughters dodgy tummy. Been up for the last hour giving the exorcist Emily rose a run for her money. When ever I get back into bed and think I'm done 2 minutes later there's more. Think I've thrown up the last 6 weeks worth of food tonight.
Ive not wanted to eat anything sweet the last 2 weeks. Tonight DH brings home chocolate cheesecake. I have a bit and now this. Totally blaming him.
I guess only time will tell if it's a bug or baby. Either way feel like I want to die 😭

Mumoftheark · 06/05/2017 01:52

Ok I think it's the bug. Don't think morning sickness would be so violent 😭

Mrsbluebell17 · 06/05/2017 03:58

Hope you're ok mumoftheark Shock

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/05/2017 06:04

@Sereniela please don't worry! My SIL's house is beyond cluttered. We lost Mil two years ago and when she and DH cleared the house to sell (Fil has dementia and is in a care home) she found it so hard to get rid of things that she just took them to her house. Her second was born last month. Her house is also quite musty now. The health visitor may advise (hopefully kindly) making the house baby safe as baby becomes more mobile. I found the HVs to be more understanding of MH issues than the midwives to be honest. And have a hug from me.

Angielka · 06/05/2017 06:35

Oh Carley hope you're ok. This has happened to me twice - the first time a scan a couple of days later confirmed all was well and the second time I just waited until it stopped (quickly) and I still feel awful so assume all is well until the next scan. Hope you got some sleep!

That sounds stressful sereniela and the midwife most unhelpful Hmm can you break down the clutter into manageable chunks and do a bit at a time? Do you have someone who can give you a hand?

Mumoftheark oh no! Shock sounds very violent- hope it's a short lived bug.

Thanks queenenid I'll send you a private message when I am by my computer rather than lying in bed in my phone Grin

Good luck having a restful symptom-light weekend everyone Flowers

GadgetgirlUk · 06/05/2017 07:30

@sereniela poor thing, sounds like your MW has a pineapple up her bottom! I wouldn't worry, like you said, you've got months to do what you need and you're obviously on top of it. Don't let one person get you down, you're having a baby, which is bloody awesome (morning sickness, cramps and insomnia aside Wink))

Carley27 · 06/05/2017 07:49

Thanks for the hand holds, unfortunately my internet went on the blink last night so I just watched trashy tv to pass the time.

The bleeding had stopped by the time I went to bed and nothing this morning 🤞

Angielka and Miami sorry you experienced the bleeding too, hard not to panic when you see it! Reassuring to hear your scans went well after so thanks for sharing 🌸

Sereneila she sounds very tactless, sorry you had such a bad experience! Try not to stress about it, you have months to declutter if needbe Flowers

Krissy81 · 06/05/2017 07:52

Had my scan yesterday which measured 7+6 exactly as I thought (15mm) and I was overjoyed to see the heartbeat. How I wish the nhs scan would project the picture on the wall in front of the bed like that. A 12 week scan would be mind-blowing!

@carley21 I hope you're ok. So many people seem to bleed through healthy pregnancies so it's hopefully nothing sinister.

@sereniela ignore the nosey so and so. Your home is no-ones business but your own and Im sure by the time baby arrives it will be exactly as you want it (clutter and all). Jeez she should see my house!

@mumoftheark oh no! Poor you. I hope dp is home for the weekend to look after you and kid(s)?

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 08:02

Carley please try not to worry! I had a massive gush of blood, think jean soaking, at 6 weeks. All is fine. Sometimes bleeding can be normal, scary but normal Smile have you tried calling your MW yet?

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 08:06

Ohhhh! I keep forgetting to post this! I may have found something that's sorting out this beautiful pregnancy acne Grin in case anyone else is suffering.

I felt sorry for myself and unwrapped SIL's birthday present and decided to use all the products in it ... Soap and Glory vitamin C detox face wash seems to jab nipped my acne in the bud! And there's nothing scary on the ingredients list.

SamiZayn · 06/05/2017 08:42

Glad the bleeding has stopped Carley..

Yay for now having a Facebook group

BirdBrain85 · 06/05/2017 09:30

Sereniela Honestly don't worry, as Donna says I'm sure your HV will be more understanding. I'm a HV and let me tell you my midwife was also pretty cheerless at my booking appointment (just wanted shot of me so they could finish early and have a cup of tea) AND my house will be having a serious declutter and sort out before my baby comes too. I'm hoping the cliche nesting kicks in Grin

Carley So pleased it's stopped, was thinking of you.

As for me I'm definitely in the knackered phase. One of my friends can't understand why - "you're only 9 weeks pregnant" Hmm.

Carley27 · 06/05/2017 09:38

Lovely scan pic Krissy, glad it went well 🙂

Zaber that must have been terrifying 😧 have spoken to midwife and going for a scan Monday morning. She did say that it was reassuring that there was no pain, clots or continued bleeding, although red bleeding isn't the best. Will be a long weekend but hopefully see a healthy bean Monday.

Bisquick · 06/05/2017 10:18

I've had a sad and stressful night, had an unpleasant argument with MIL. And now worried that I've done something to hurt the little bean as a result. :(

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 11:46

Bisquick I'm sure whatever has happended, it's all fine Smile did you want to talk about it?

And yes Carley terrifying! It happended a few times. But I just hope it reassures you a bit. Please talk to your MW though, just to get you in for a scan.

BirdBrain85 · 06/05/2017 11:46

In what way are you worried Bisquick? Bless you, I'm sure baby is absolutely fine. When you look at emotional stress and it's impact on unborn babies it's prolonged stress that causes damage - not short periods like the argument last night. Best thing you can do is relax today and put it behind you xxx

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 11:47

Oh bugger I misread that 😂 ! Yes! You have a scan on Monday!

Has anyone read the Suns list of endangered baby names? Or better yet considering any of them!

BirdBrain85 · 06/05/2017 11:47

Lovely scan pic by the way Krissy Smile sorry I didn't comment sooner, I saw it when I was half-awake this morning haha.
