Just a lot of shouting and tears. We don't get on very well, and she is here for a few weeks. Ostensibly to help, but while she makes DH feel better we just rub each other the wrong way. Anywhoo, have supposedly cleared the air and all is okay this morning. I'm just worried about the stress and worried about the baby.

Bisquick · 06/05/2017 12:32

And thanks BirdBrain, that's helpful. It was just one very unpleasant evening, but it's obviously been an excruciatingly difficult few months so I'm easily upset and anxious!

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 12:42

Bisquick I completely sympathise Sad

But please don't worry. No harm will have come to your baby, but be kind to yourself!

I strongly advocate doing what I did and moving 2 hours away from all in laws Grin

Mrsbluebell17 · 06/05/2017 15:45

Afternoon all, I'm finally back in the uk - it's been a long week!

Zaber thanks for the tip re the soap and glory, as I'm still struggling with spots and it's getting to me.

TootsyBella84 · 06/05/2017 16:03

I'm just back from OOH with some cyclizine in tow. Hoping they work!
Hope everyone is doing okay x

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 16:04

How was your flight Blue ?

Ugh. I know how you feel, are yours proper spots? Mine were just like, lumps. With no head!

I'm awaiting the Tesco delivery. It's full of disappointing healthy food. I wish I'd ordered popcorn!

Zaberwocky · 06/05/2017 16:05

Ohhh! Hopefully you get on with them Tootsy!

If you find you get the side effects Stemetil is a good alternative.

TootsyBella84 · 06/05/2017 17:08

I'm lying in bed just now and feel a little drowsy but I don't think I feel sick so I'm winging it just now!

MontyPants · 06/05/2017 17:26

Just checking in. Haven't posted on this thread much. Hope everyone is ok. I've just been out to stuff my face with carbonara pasta and garlic bread, and then bubble tea which has really gone down a treat.

Mrsbluebell17 · 06/05/2017 18:46

Flight wasn't bad actually Zaber. It was delayed a bit which was the worst bit but when we were on it, it didn't feel all that long and as it was a night flight i actually managed to sleep.

DH picked me up and I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour and a half when we got in. Now just tucking into a pizza as I have no energy to cook or even go and buy fresh food today.

Probably not the diet I need to help the spots but I'll get back onto that this next week. Yes they stay as under the skin for ages but eventually they do come out and then make a mess of my face Shock

How are you feeling?

Hope your tablets work tootsy.

Monty* great to hear from you. Am I being naive, what's bubble tea?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/05/2017 19:11

Nausea has properly kicked in this evening 🤢

Mrsbluebell17 · 06/05/2017 19:22

Oh no doctordonna. I hope you're ok? Have you been sick? When I had the nausea phase (although I'll admit it wasn't really bad), I found nibbling on plain biscuits helped.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/05/2017 19:23

No not been sick yet. Just very nauseous and loads of saliva!

MontyPants · 06/05/2017 19:34

Bluebell bubble tea sounds horrendous but you've got to trust me on this... It's a cold drink and a bit like a milkshake with little tapioca pearls in it (which are like haribo gummy sweets but less sweet). You can have tea flavoured, or coffee or all sorts of herbal teas and fruity flavours. It's proper pregnancy goodness in my book. It's a bit like a frappe but less icy I guess

TipTop333 · 06/05/2017 20:48

DoctorDonna vomiting is not pleasant at but often it can relieve the nausea quite a lot. Constant nausea with no relief is horrendous, you have my full sympathies!

TipTop333 · 06/05/2017 20:49

I say that as someone who had a good vom about midday but has spent this evening under a blanket hating everyone and everything due to this fucking nausea.

Mrsbluebell17 · 07/05/2017 00:13

Monty you sold it to me at milkshake hehe.

So at 8:30 I couldn't keep my eyes open so I came to bed and fell asleep. Now im wide awake again. It would be tea time now if I was still in the US so I guess this is jet lag. Brilliant Hmm

Doctor I hope you've managed to get some rest and sleep?

Brens13 · 07/05/2017 07:56

Morning everyone. Hope you're all doing OK, nausea and jet lag aside!

I managed to survive my end of season dinner dance last night without too many questions about me not drinking. But have woken up this morning after only 5 hours sleep with a head ache and nausea, so basically a hangover Grin thought the lack of hangovers would be one of the advantages of not drinking. Making camp on the sofa with a giant bottle of water and trashy TV.

fishfingerSarnies · 07/05/2017 09:23

7 weeks today and been sick for the first time.

Oysterbabe · 07/05/2017 09:39

Morning!
I feel like arse. DD and I have dragged ourselves put to watch DH do the Bristol 10k this morning. We're patiently waiting at the finish but we have another half hour until the runner start coming through.
6 weeks today!

Peachi82 · 07/05/2017 09:45

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all OK. Not really ready for a Facebook group yet, but I might join in a couple of weeks time.
All good here I think... My boobs are killing me and the vitamin tablet in the evening makes me sick... Not puke, but I feel like I want to stay near the loo for a while just in case.

Going to my sister's this afternoon and will tell her :-D
My boyfriend is an absolute star at the moment! He cleaned the rabbits yesterday and did all the washing and cooking while I had a lunch nap. I feel slightly guilty...

Thinking about booking an early scan for Friday next week, I would be 7+5, I guess we would be able to see a heartbeat by then? On the other hand I think I should just leave it and wait for the 12 weeks scan, because an early scan won't change the outcome, but I might feel more attached to the embryo and more devastated if it doesn't make it until the next scan. Aaah, decisions decisions decisions.

fishfingerSarnies · 07/05/2017 09:50

That's how I feel about early scans Peach, it's so tempting but I don't think will feel any better where as by 12 weeeks the odds are so much better.

Bisquick · 07/05/2017 10:09

Welcome Peachie. What brand vitamin tablets are you using? I had similar nausea while taking Pregnacare, but it went away when I switched brands (to Seven Seas a scan I think happens)

Bisquick · 07/05/2017 10:09

*to seven seas as it happens

Bisquick · 07/05/2017 10:12

And thanks Zaber and others who replied. Feeling a lot calmer now. MIL lives in a different country, so an 8+ hour flight away. But that means that visits last several weeks, rather than just a weekend or so. It's usually alright, but sometimes we just rub each other the wrong way I think. Much much better today, and trying my best to stay calm. 7 weeks and counting!
