@QueenEnid hiya can I be added please [email protected]

See you over there :)

glastogal · 05/05/2017 16:43

zaber - can you try to bring forward your booking appt? You're lucky getting a nice early scan 👍 it's almost certainly easier to rearrange the midwife, if you can get hold of them!!

Zaberwocky · 05/05/2017 16:54

I tackled my midwife on Wednesday. The 17th is genuinely the earliest she can see me. Think one doctors surgery, massive town, and a lot of pregnant people!

glastogal · 05/05/2017 16:58

Rats.. maybe call the scan crew then to check if being noteless will be a problem? How frustrating things have worked out this way!!

Bisquick · 05/05/2017 17:03

Placemarking. And hi to all the newcomers!

Zaberwocky · 05/05/2017 17:14

Glasto I know, it's a huge pain! I'll call them Monday.

Equally I'm a bit concerned that it may be a bit early for the scan to begin with! We'll only just be nearly scraping 11 weeks by then!

Zaberwocky · 05/05/2017 17:14

The letter also says EMPTY BLADDER Grin yay! Internal scan!

glastogal · 05/05/2017 17:27

Ha.. I'm probably the only weirdo that prefers the internal scans. I'm always so uncomfy with a full bladder!!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 05/05/2017 17:54

I'm the same @glastogal The pressure from the external ones on top of a full bladder can be really painful!

Carlotta82248 · 05/05/2017 18:00

My god girls, I've been a wreck today, tired and lazy then cross and emotional about being tired and lazy when the sun is out and not being on form around the house, don't know what to do with myself!

macsworth · 05/05/2017 18:52

glasto I've not had an internal scan but bloody hell pushing the US probe into my full bladder was like torture. I spent the whole time swinging between being overjoyed at seeing the little bean and trying not to wee all over the bed.

Angielka · 05/05/2017 19:04

Full bladder? Is that so they can see it better? No talk of that here.

Enid can you send direct messages on the mobile app? Can't figure out how to do it and feeling silly 😜

Was feeling slightly better yesterday but back to vomiting 4 times today... looking forward to joining you in double digits tomorrow glasto Shock

Carley27 · 05/05/2017 19:52

Hi all - could do with a handhold 😞 have just experienced a small of bright red bleeding and trying not to panic. Don't have any pain so at least that's something.

Carley27 · 05/05/2017 19:52

Small amount that should say

glitteryvibes · 05/05/2017 19:53

angielka fairly sure the full bladder is so that it pushes more of your colon out of the pelvic area as you can't get a good picture if the colons in the way as ultrasound waves don't really pass well through air, which there is a fair amount of in the colon. Whereas you can scan through the bladder as the waves pass nicely through the fluid.

glitteryvibes · 05/05/2017 19:54

carley can you call the epu? I know it can be very normal but you probably won't feel completely reassured about it unless you can get it checked? Hope it stops.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 05/05/2017 19:55

Oh, @Carley27, have a hand hold.

glastogal · 05/05/2017 20:00

Haha Macs - it can be a struggle not to pee, can't it!?! Looks like I'm not the only crazy anyway so that's good - thanks ladies! Congrats for hitting the big 10 tomorrow ang 🎉🎉 Time might be moving slowly, but is IS moving!!

glastogal · 05/05/2017 20:02

Hugs Carley.. hope you're ok. Can you pop to epu tomorrow? (Are they open every day?)

BirdBrain85 · 05/05/2017 20:08

Carley Hope everything is okay - I echo what everyone else has said and think it'd be worth calling your EPU for reassurance.

Had a pretty good day - had a few gagging episodes and a bit of nausea so that pleased me immensely! Good to have a few symptoms. My manager also said I look sooo tired and says I can spend longer in bed in the mornings if I need to!! Clearly I look dreadful Blush.

Queen I also sent you a PM Smile

macsworth · 05/05/2017 20:17

carley I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but definitely try and call the EPU for reassurance.
Lots of hand holding here for you.

Oysterbabe · 05/05/2017 20:19

Sorry Carley, I really hope everything is ok. Flowers

I must be hungry as my stomach is growling but it's also a giant bloated balloon and I can't think of a food I want to eat. Even thinking about meat makes me want to vom. I'm cooking chips and beans for dinner #healthy and hoping they don't make me feel sick. I'm sure my nausea is caused by the very slow digestive transit, I'm so bloated and look about 6 months pregnant.

GadgetgirlUk · 05/05/2017 20:20

@QueenEnid I'm on [email protected], please can you add me to the FB group? Xx

Carley27 · 05/05/2017 20:29

No EPU at our hospital so guess I will phone midwife tomorrow. It was very light so hopefully nothing but think it will be a long night :(

GadgetgirlUk · 05/05/2017 20:44

Oh @Carley, try to rest up and take care of yourself xxx
