Probably zaber, I'm learning that wee samples are much loved by the NHS 😁 doing one tomorrow, then another one for my 16w appt, and another for my consultant at 17w. Luckily, I pee a lot!!

feelingcalledlove · 16/05/2017 18:51

So much to catch up on!

Congratulations on the scan Donna

Glasto I can't believe you had to wait that long to find out basically nothing - how frustrating!

Having one of those days where I feel about 90 years old... Tell me this won't last the whole pregnancy!

ScotsLamb · 16/05/2017 19:07

Felt ill all day but no sickness. Very dizzy too probably from lack of food until lunch time. Don't think I can cope with a 12 km walk tomorrow if I feel the same.
Is it only paracetamol that I can take for headaches? Feel like I've had one for days. And sleep? What sleep?

pauseplayrepeat · 16/05/2017 20:44

zabe pick up a stash of wee pots at your appt tmw. That way you can wee at home and take to appts rather than time it for arrival. Can you tell I can't wee under pressure?? 😂

Scots, feeling - sorry to hear you're both feeling rough. Hope you both get some sleep tonight and feel better in the morning.

Mrsbluebell17 · 16/05/2017 21:14

Evening all. Chatty day on the thread again but a little quieter this evening.

Sorry for those suffering with sickness. Today I hit a brick wall again in terms of tiredness. It was difficult today after having thought yesterday that I'd turned the corner with it. I was also nearly sick today twice but unexpectedly as I didn't feel sick beforehand it just suddenly happened but i managed to keep it at bay. Very odd.

How are you all doing this evening?

Booking in appointment tomorrow for me.

Got a busy life at the moment and trying to keep focussed and make sure I look after this growing baby as much as possible although I have to say my diet is beyond dreadful at the moment. Which I feel very guilty about.

ScotsLamb · 16/05/2017 21:19

BLuebell my diet is also awful. Been trying to follow slimming world and just mainting weight but tonight was pulled pork (free) wedges, onion rings and dough balls. Think I'm making up for lack of calories before midday by eating double in the afternoon.
I've got my booking in appointment on Thursday! Good luck. I'm quite excited.

ScotsLamb · 16/05/2017 21:40

Goodness. Made a massive mumsnet mistake! Went into the baby names forum.
Some people are so rude. Names Effie, Agnes and Margo (all my great aunties names and I love them). Some folk saying "Agnes is just a horrible name". Oh we are short, blunt and rude! Jeez!
Back over to AIBU!!

MontyPants · 16/05/2017 21:41

I'm so bored! I do think this is an irrational pregnancy hormone thing. I usually like to make plans on my days off and go out but I'm too physically exhausted to do anything, but I don't like sitting here doing nothing either! Anyone else having strange conflicting mood swings? I had a mad burst of energy earlier and did loads of tidying and sorting. But the house is gleaming now, DH is away with work, and my dogs are not great conversationalists!

MontyPants · 16/05/2017 21:45

Thanks scots I'll make a note to avoid it. They're all lovely names, especially Margo. It's your baby, call it whatever you like. Both names that we have in mind are old-fashioned, so I'm making a point not to tell anyone until the baby is born and the name is decided. Then they have to be nice about it. And I'll kick them if they're not 😂

ScotsLamb · 16/05/2017 21:47

Haha. I hadn't really thought of them as names for the baby. DP already has a girl name picked but now I've seen them written down I love Agnes! As a teacher it's so so hard to choose names without a wee pupil popping into my brain. I've never taught an Agnes :-)

CarlottaJo · 16/05/2017 21:57

@ScotsLamb Effie is high on my list! The rudeness of people on here is literally amazing!

Brens13 · 16/05/2017 22:06

Haha yep my own name was described as "the very worst of the old fashioned names" by one poster on a names thread Grin

glastogal · 16/05/2017 22:19

Names.. we have been arguing about names for years already 😆 I love Agnes ♥️♥️

Carley27 · 16/05/2017 22:27

Pause I can't pee on demand either.. at my booking in appointment MW asked if I could give a sample and I said no.. but here's one I prepared earlier and whipped one out my bag 😂 she gave me a new one for my 16 week appointment!

Ooh scots you are brave venturing onto the baby names thread!

Mrsbluebell17 · 16/05/2017 22:48

@Miami81 how are you doing?

Oh scots, I know the feeling as I usually follow slimming world too. Tonight's tea was basically described by my brother when I told him what we'd had as the kind of thing you cooked when you wanted to cook for yourself when you were a teenager hahaha. Oh dear.

I've been trying to eat some fruit and salad too but I'm eating lots of carbs and oven baked goodies.

On the name front we have a boys name we LOVE and have loved for ages. We have never told it to anyone. I'm hoping my friends who are due between now and our EDD don't suddenly use the name. As for girls names we are totally not finding that as easy. Any suggestions welcome. I tend to like names that end in y or ie from what I've tried to work out. But open to all ideas. Might browse the name threads for some entertainment but won't dare post Confused

glastogal · 16/05/2017 22:52

Aw MrsB - we are the complete opposite.. really struggling with boys names but have lots of girly options!! My DP is mega fussy, so he has vetoed a load of my favourite names 😫 some of the ones I love (but can't have) include Mary, Martha, Heidi, Abigail, Edith.. gosh, there are loads he had said no to!!

Miami81 · 17/05/2017 00:20

Mrsbluebell
Unfortunately things seem to have escalated for me. Shitting myself now as am home alone and worried that I am going to miscarry tonight. Pee'ed bright pink blood around an hour ago and am now scared to go to the loo again. Cramping on and off also. So basically not looking good at all really now. I just really wanted this one to be my rainbow, I had started to believe that it was real after the successful scan last week. Anyway we shall see what tomorrow (or later tonight) brings.

CarlottaJo · 17/05/2017 02:56

@Miami81 FlowersFlowersFlowers thinking of you

I'm up with an upset tummy and sickness Sad

Oysterbabe · 17/05/2017 05:53

fishfingerSarnies · 17/05/2017 06:46

How are you this morning Miami? Thinking of you.

LapinR0se · 17/05/2017 06:52

@miami sending lots of positive thoughts for you this morning

Mrsbluebell17 · 17/05/2017 07:04

Oh Miami. I'm so sorry. Can you get to the EPU and see what they say?
Thinking of you.

Hope you're feeling ok Carlotta. I had to get up and eat rich tea biscuits in the night as I felt so sick again. My tummy was also off yesterday a bit.

Busy day ahead. Hoping everyone has a good day.

feelingcalledlove · 17/05/2017 07:10

Miami I hope things are better with you this morning. It sounds like it'll be worth a trip to the EPU if you can get to one. Thinking of you Flowers

Lixon · 17/05/2017 07:42

Miami thinking of you and hoping that this is your rainbow, I know odds are hard when you've suffered before but they really are in your favour with two healthy scans so keeping everything crossed for you xx

Beardy1 · 17/05/2017 07:51

My thoughts are with you today miami. I'll keep everything crossed for you. Xxxx
