Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 10:49

I just want to have a normal wee Angry I'm fed up of this now. I might go home and sulk there.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 16/05/2017 10:54

Heard heart beat and everything looked as it should. All present and correct. Measurements but me back 8 days so trying not to be too anxious. I go back there in two weeks. Have to move my twelve week scan. If I stay moved back can I stay on this bus please. I hate meeting new people.

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 10:59

Of course Doctor ! I'm so relieved it all looks good Smile I really wouldn't worry about dates, I think a few of us on here have had some late implanters!

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 11:00

Although I do bet the January lot wouldn't fill up your inbox as much as we do 😂

Peachi82 · 16/05/2017 12:13

Hey everyone and happy birthday ☺️

Had a rubbish evening, a rubbish night and a rubbish morning. Puked 3 times 🙁
Just had a meeting where I had to stand for 30 minutes in a warm room full of people, I honestly thought I'm gonna faint any moment.
I have no idea how to cope with work for the rest of the week, I might be able to stay at home on the Friday, but this seems like ages away.
Sorry about complaining so much!

But we've exchanged on the house! Completion is in around 2 months time, so can't wait.

MontyPants · 16/05/2017 12:26

Oooh Peachi that sounds crap. Guess you weren't able to tell anyone that you needed to sit down? Hope you're feeling ok now. I've been having dizziness etc too. But great news on the house.
Happy birthday Lapin and congratulations on the scan DoctorDonna! X

MontyPants · 16/05/2017 12:30

Go to the GP and get some antibiotics Zaber. I'm feeling much better since I got some, although they have turned my wee bright luminous yellow! 😳
My mum works at a university and was talking to a midwife lecturer yesterday, who said that the reason us preggers lot get UTIs is because the progesterone relaxes the ureters (think they're the tubes that come down from the kidneys, I know we have 2 of them anyway) and it causes "kinky tubes" which means bacteria can build up in the kinks. I think I've explained that right.... but basically it's the hormones.

glastogal · 16/05/2017 12:34

Waiting for a call back from the GP about my urine sample the other week.. my money is on UTI or some kind of iron deficiency.. place your bets!!

glastogal · 16/05/2017 12:35

And hooray Donna 🎉🎉 so glad your scan went well this morning!

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 12:49

Monty already done Grin though my expression when I sit down is now very ... amusing apparently!

Glasto I bloody hope they haven't left you with an untreated UTI for that long!

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 12:53

They are sending my urine away again though 😪 So they can grow mould or mushrooms on it or whatever it is they do.

glastogal · 16/05/2017 12:59

Just heard from the GP.. inconclusive! They found some white blood cells, indicating an infection, but then found no trace of an infection. I'm gonna pee in another pot so they can test again.

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 13:05

For gods sake Glasto ! I can't believe they made you wait for that!

glastogal · 16/05/2017 13:09

Can't wait for my next letter telling me to call the GP 😜

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 13:22

I just don't understand why they didn't call you and say Glasto 😂 They could've resolved this days ago!

Carley27 · 16/05/2017 13:31

Happy birthday Lapin!

Congrats on your scan Donna! Try not to worry about your date being pushed back, the NHS calculate EDD from LMP which doesn't take into account longer cycles, late ovulation/implantation etc.!

MummyHenman2be · 16/05/2017 13:35

@Zaberwocky & @glastogal

I've had no end of bladder issues even before pregnancy so when they got slightly worse during the first few weeks of pregnancy I spoke to the doctor who said it would be the hormones etc aggravating my bladder and the uterus growing etc. They tested my urine then and sent it off to the lab and nothing.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I just thought that it felt a bit different and wasn't quite right so I took a sample in and the doctors dip tested it and found no proteins, no ketones or anything. They just found some white blood cells and a trace of blood. They said that that could be normal for me and my pregnancy but that they were going to send it off to the lab to be on the safe side. As the results were going to take over a week I convinced them to put me on antibiotics just incase and they did!

Anyway, rung the doctors yesterday not expecting them to have found anything but they grew it in the lab and there was a nasty infection that had been caught early! Thank the lord!

Just my experience. We're quite lucky that our doctors are fab! Antibiotics have sorted it right out. So nice to have a normal wee haha!!

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 13:44

Mummy you are not filling me with optimisim 😂

MontyPants · 16/05/2017 15:11

Zaber and Glasto I had bladder and kidney issues pre-pregnancy too, so maybe that's why they put me and MummyHenman on antibiotics. My urine sample was clear at the doctor's too, but I was adamant I had an infection. I've had enough of them in my life to know what was going on. So I wouldn't worry if they haven't put you on any meds, it sounds like they're not too concerned as you're more normal than me!
Fingers crossed all those with UTIs are feeling better soon xx

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 15:18

Monty its like I got rid of the sickness, to a degree, and gained another horrible problem 😂

CarlottaJo · 16/05/2017 17:40

Called in sick to work, really not feeling up to it at all x

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 18:24

Carlotta I really think that's for the best. If you're not in a state where you can achieve anything, what's the point? Hopefully your employer is being understanding.

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 18:24

I have a MW appointment tomorrow, my proper booking in one.

Does this mean I have to do another bloody wee sample!?
