I feel horrendous too. Morning sickness until about 10.30 then I'm starving and super thirst. Doesn't help that I have 240 assessments to mark and a week long Residential to organise for 200 pupils which happens in 2 weeks. I'm organising with very minimal help but still teaching my allocated classes. Head of department has just told me she wants me to go out to primary next week to teach a lesson. I actually cried. I'm so tired. I feel crappy. I've not taken one day off even though I probably should have. There is just too much to do and not enough time to do it. I almost fell asleep at my desk :-(
Please tell me it gets better in 2nd trimester.

ScotsLamb · 15/05/2017 18:08

Sereniela I've stopped taking pregnacare and it's reduced my sickness to just morning instead of all day. I'm just on folic acid and vitamin d. Someone said it's to do with the iron in pregnacare but once in second trimester it should be ok. We will see as I have a huge stash!

MontyPants · 15/05/2017 18:20

I'm still on pregnacare and I take it in the evening, nausea seems to have faded a lot now, don't think it was the pregnacare causing it. I have high hopes for the 2nd trimester. I'm ALMOST there!

MontyPants · 15/05/2017 18:22

And I've just spent the afternoon at Nissan having a test drive and deciding if I should buy a Juke. Need to convince DH as officially it will be his car, but I'll drive it. Because my car is on a lease and I love it too much to get rid. They do a 190BHP version of the model I'm looking at, which might tempt DH a bit more.

Mrsbluebell17 · 15/05/2017 19:13

Loving all the talk of classics threads. Macs I remember when that one happened and I was totally hooked to it. So funny! The character names were the best. Miss Jolly!!

Sorry to hear of all the sickness. Hope you're all doing ok.

My symptoms have reduced today. Still tired but not as exhausted as I have been. Still a little nauseous when I don't eat regularly (and it comes on suddenly) but for the first time in about two weeks I've been able to decide on something I actually fancied for tea. Not that it's particularly healthy but I have added some salad to my plate to accompany it Smile

Brens13 · 15/05/2017 19:22

Still eating my way through any pangs of nausea here too.

Have spent the last couple of hours catching up with some BGT...i don't think I've stopped crying for the last two hours. I'm a soppy tart with TV anyway, but I'm going to blame the hormones this time!

Carley27 · 15/05/2017 19:35

I've been exhausted today 😴 hats off to those of you dealing with nausea/sickness on top of this, don't know how you do it 🌸

Agree that the classics are a fab way to pass a few hours (I'm partial to an AIBU binge too!)

Lixon · 15/05/2017 20:14

Good luck tomorrow DoctorDonna, will be thinking of you!

Mrsbluebell17 · 15/05/2017 20:23

Ooooh yeah good luck for tomorrow Donna. Sorry I totally missed your post before.

StumpyScot92 · 15/05/2017 20:31

I love an aibu binge for a giggle too. Not ventured to the classics yet that will be next on my list!

Ok couple of new symptoms (or at least I think they are from the pregnancy...) My hair is changing colour. And not the hair on my head Blush. I'm normally dark haired everywhere except my legs. Not my legs are coming in black and my downstairs region is coming in properly blonde.. and I don't just mean it's getting lighter, I look like I've had a set of golden highlights put in Confused.

Also noticed in the shower my shoulders are covered in thread veins now. Typically two days after I bought an off the shoulder dress for a wedding I'm going to in a fortnight ha Angry

Mrsbluebell17 · 15/05/2017 21:31

Not experiencing that symptom myself stumpy. It is weird all the symptoms but they are strangely comforting aren't they.

I can't say I'm not panicking slightly because I have very few symptoms today and actually have some energy this evening for the first time in ages.

Mrsbluebell17 · 16/05/2017 03:09

I have to be up in a couple of hours for work yet I'm wide awake right now and can't sleep Hmm

Miami81 · 16/05/2017 03:22

Bluebell
Me too. I just went to the loo and have light brownish bleeding again. I am 8 weeks today. DH leaves for work trip for a few days this afternoon so am freaking out slightly for the next few days. I am trying to stay calm, they weren't worried when we were at epu last week and even identified what was causing the bleeding so just have to keep my mind on that.
Any reason you are awake?

Mrsbluebell17 · 16/05/2017 06:05

Hey Miami. I'm sorry to hear about your bleeding. Is it possible it's the same reason again? Hope you're ok and managed to get a few hours more sleep.
I woke up feeling sick and then couldn't get back to sleep for ages but just managed another little snooze quickly before getting up.
Thinking of you Flowers

Miami81 · 16/05/2017 08:03

Thanks bluebell
It hasn't gotten any worse this morning although is still there. Will keep an eye on it and maybe give epu a call later. It is so hard to try and stay positive when there is bleeding!

LapinR0se · 16/05/2017 08:35

Just had my first proper puke. It's my birthday and I'd had a lovely breakfast in bed. Just lost it all down the loo. 9.35 and haven't left for work yet Blush

LapinR0se · 16/05/2017 08:36

Fingers crossed for you Miami that spotting is nothing major just a bit of womb-tidying going on

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 09:07

Happy birthday Lapin !

Miami honestly I'd call your EPU anyway, just for reassurance.

I have a lovely, throbbing, burning, UTI Angry and the pharmacy can't dispense any prescriptions, so I have to wait till lunch and head to the next bloody town.

macsworth · 16/05/2017 09:15

Happy Birthday Lapin 🎉🎉

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about Miami. Especially as it's not a new symptom. But totally understand the worry. Thinking of you.

Brens13 · 16/05/2017 09:19

Happy birthday Lapin! Hope the puking doesn't last all day, and maybe you can manage a second breakfast soon Grin

Lolabee · 16/05/2017 09:33

Happy birthday lapin 🎂

pauseplayrepeat · 16/05/2017 10:09

Happy birthday lapin - maybe a slice of Cake later. Hope the sickness settles down and you can enjoy the day.

Hope the scan this morning went well donna.

Yesterday was an awful day for the sickness, literally felt on the edge of vomming from morning to night. Even the crisps weren't helping. This morning has been slightly better so far so praying it was a random bad day.

CarlottaJo · 16/05/2017 10:24

Happy Birthday @LapinR0se

Thinking of you @Miami81

Hope the scan went well @DoctorDonnaNoble

Zaberwocky · 16/05/2017 10:26

Pause I think sometimes there are just good and bad days Smile hopefully that was the case for you! And hopefully the same for Lapin!

pauseplayrepeat · 16/05/2017 10:33

I think you're right zabe. Fluctuating hormones. Baby better have been doing some good growing yesterday Wink
