see ejt, I said before and I'll say it again, you are way too hard working and virtuos, stop making me feel inadequate Leave the vegetables, the choir and the "I believe our children are the future" sentiments and sit on the sofa finishing off easter eggs like me

Just jealous and joking of course Hope work goes ok when you get back.

ejt1764 · 17/04/2007 12:37

Kezza, I already ate them all! DS does have one left, but mil bought it for him, and I just know that she'll quiz him about it this weekend .... it's a Flake one too ....

had a massive nose bleed earlier.went with dh to take car for mot,and was stood there with the mechanic, and blood poored out everywhere!felt a right div and had to explain "its ok,im pregnant"!!sounded even more divvy then!!!

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 16:00

I need help. I can't stop spending money

I have come to the conclusion that I want to be happy during this pregnancy, and I am only happy if I feel like I look good, so if that means spending lots of money, so be it

KezzaG · 17/04/2007 16:08

Hear hear MrsFish. I remember last time round crying on the middle of B&Q because I looked fat and frumpy in blacnk trackie bottoms on an unexpectedly warm day. OK, so maybe not quite rational but I do intend to look and feel better this time round and hang the expense

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 16:23

Just been browsing web and found this bit about dreams, not sure piglets can be classed as cute cuddly animals though

You're caring for baby animals. During the second trimester, many pregnant women dream about cuddly, baby-like animals, such as puppies, chicks, and kittens. Friendly creatures in your dreams are generally thought to signify that you're tuned in to your instincts. Menacing animals, on the other hand, may represent ambivalence about the strange new creature coming into your life.

You have a sexy encounter with an old flame. Many mothers-to-be are concerned about their changing figure and its effect on their sex life ? while many others feel more sexually charged than ever. Both feelings are often reflected in your dreams. Not only do erotic dreams offer comforting reassurance, but they may mirror the sexiness you feel during your waking hours, too.

Your mate is straying. If you dream that your partner hooks up with an ex-girlfriend or a total stranger, it can signal insecurity about holding his love and attention through a time of great change. Right now, you're dependent on the goodwill and support of those around you, especially your partner. Fearing his loss is a common emotional reaction to being pregnant.

greedyforbabies · 17/04/2007 17:31

oh my god! my last patient just asked me when my baby was due!!!!!! i REALLY didn't think i looked that pregnant! obviously i was kidding myself!

greedyforbabies · 17/04/2007 17:33

OOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo i liked that dream thing!
didnt manage to spend too much money..........got some combats, a bumpband, a vest top and 3 pairs of knickers! what a strange combination!!!

ejt1764 · 17/04/2007 17:38

I confess - when I went out to get the shading stuff for the greenhouse, I also bought 2 pairs of shoes....

one pair of trainers ... which I needed ... and one pair of beautiful blue-gray mary-janes with embroidery down the side - which I didn't need at all! I swear, they spoke to me ....

Did also manage to buy shading stuff for greenhouse (and a new hosepipe, and a lawn repair kit!)

I hate buying clothes at the best of times - now is just my worst nightmare! Shoes, however, are another matter ...

Hi All
Had my 12 week scan today and have been given an EDD on 26 October. I reckon my EDD is 2 November (I'm also on the November thread) but we'll see..

Mind if I hang out with you guys in the meantime?

ejt1764 · 17/04/2007 17:55

Hi Pheebe - welcome to the October thread! Good news on your scan - they're not supposed to change your dates without consultation from you though - I'd play my face (but that's just me!!) In the meantime, you're very welcome to join us - we're a bit unhinged, obsessed with knicker-ckecking, saucy dreams and nightmares, and shopping!

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 18:14

I bought a pair of trainer type shoe things too from Next. The green and white ones out of the fashion sports range, they are really comfy. Also 2 vest tops, 2 bras, a top and white linen mix trousers

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 18:15

Oh, and welcome Pheebe

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 18:20

I meant to post a link

here they are

honeyapple · 17/04/2007 18:58

Evening-

Mmmm, shopping... think I should wait until I am a bit bigger in the bump department as am perfectly happy in my normal clothes at the moment. Most of my trousers are low waist type things, so they are just sitting underneath the belly. I NEVER got into those humpty dumpty over the bump trousers... I tended to buy normal clothes in bigger sizes last PGs... go for styles like Buffy mentioned- or even better TIGHT things over your bump. It's great to have a BIG tum, as it makes your bum look smaller! Well that's what I reckon and I'm sticking to it!

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 17/04/2007 19:43

hi all, ooo look at you lot spending money, not fair! am skint

mumpbump...can't believe your still keeping it quiet! saying that, i've not had chance to tell my dad yet, as i hardly ever see him, going to have to soon, i'm 16 weeks tommorrow, although everybody else knows!

so, been wondering, whats everyones opinion on a single pregnant woman (as in me) meeting other men?? or shall i start a seperate thread?

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 17/04/2007 19:44

p.s hi and welcome pheebe

HelloMama · 17/04/2007 20:25

wow! i don't know how everyone has managed the energy to keep posting! I feel as if I have gone into hibernation for the last few weeks... but i am finally starting to feel myself again.

Sorry to all of those who have had problems with their pregnancies

I have been feeling so different to last time, it has really knocked me for six. I think the difference this time is having a relatively nocturnal toddler to run around after!

My due date is 17 October. Does anyone else have the same D-day as me??? I am already as big as a house and will be wearing my maternity clothes next week as every day is now a clothing crisis as nothing fits anymore! No more skinny jeans !

NAPPYADDICT please post again if you still need my email address - how can I help?

asur · 17/04/2007 21:02

Hi ladies,

hope you don't mind me joining you all. I have tried to read most of this thread but I did start skim-reading as you are a very chatty lot (said/meant in a very nice way obviously! )

Just a little about me - I work full time while DH is a SAHD to our gorgeous 11-month old DS. I'm due 24th October...

I'm still in my normal clothes but I'm getting more and more tempted to get my maternity stuff out as trousers are getting a bit tight (eating loads of chocolate hasn't helped of course!) I've been buying some things on ebay - I'm not very stylish anyway so figure it's not worth spending much on stuff I won't wear for long... I was pregnant in winter with DS which was much easier as I could just put on a big jumper and no-one knew that I had my jeans unbuttoned!

maisym · 18/04/2007 10:20

sorry to hear your sad news verso xxx take good care of yourself.

maisym · 18/04/2007 10:26

I'm in maternity clothes - got some lovely tops in H&M & Pumpkin Patch plus a stretchy skirt & trousers in mothercare (they are similiar to isabella oliver stretch clothes)

Now I just need some over the bump trousers as underneath isn't comfy for me.

Have to take thyroid meds now - anyone else take this for low thyroid?

WinnieThePooh · 18/04/2007 10:40

Good luck to Verso for your scan this afternnon.

Hopefully, you will be adding another to the list
