hi kezza and ejt!

i had nose bleeds before when ive been pg,but this time,im the same as you kezza,i wake up in a morning and my nose is so blocked up!during the night im sneezing and sniffling so wondered if thats why i get a nose bleed in a morning!

think it is hayfever ive got,got the runny, itchy eyes to go with it.so maybe thats contributing to the nose bleeds (all the sneezing and sniffing!)

your ds is so good ejt, being patient for 2 hours!when we went to have my scan,dd was playing up something chronic!!then screamed the whole time i was having the scan as she thought they were hurting me!(she has to have a scan every year and obviously remembers last years one!)

KezzaG · 16/04/2007 10:51

the worst thing is buffy I spend all day picking my nose as it feels all horrid and crusty afterwards. Somehow because I can justify it by saying I have had a nose bleed it doesnt seem as bad as normal nosepicking iykwim LOL, isnt pregnancy lovely!

ejt1764 · 16/04/2007 10:57

hiya again,

I have to 'fess up (sorry, obviously working with teenagers has had a bad effect on my English!) to being a nose bleed sufferer - and an inveterate nose picker as a result ... as you say, somehow getting rid of the crusty blood doesn't seem so bad - although I have to make sure that ds doesn't see me, as I'm always on his case about doing it!

Apparently, I haven't started snoring yet - although I snored like a pig when pg with ds, and used to wake myself up (how attractive!) so it's only a matter of time ...

buffythenappyslayer21 · 16/04/2007 11:05

snap with the crustyness!!!dd caught me poking about the other day and announced i had been picking bogeys!!so have now got to do it in the loo!!

greedyforbabies · 16/04/2007 11:24

oh my god! knickercheckers AND nosepickers anonymous for the next thread title i think!

KezzaG · 16/04/2007 11:26

LOL, do we have any other confessions we need to get off our chests this morning? I dont think I have, maybe I will wait and see what anyone else wants to own up to

buffythenappyslayer21 · 16/04/2007 11:34

pmsl!!no i havent got anything else to own upto!well....apart from having some very saucy dreams!!am definately blaming teh pg hormones for those!!!

ejt1764 · 16/04/2007 11:44

I thought the saucy dreams were just me ... dh thinks all his Christmases have come at once - mind you I'd rather have those than the nightmares ... (I think dh would agree too!)

OP posts:
KezzaG · 16/04/2007 12:00

I feel I am missing out, I am only having horrid dreams. Sofar they have included faling out with my mum which involved an actual fight, killing someone and burying them in the garden and ds falling out of an upstairs window and me not being able to catch him.

I wake up knackered!

I will try to have dirty thoughts as I go to sleep tonight and see if that helps

Mumpbump · 16/04/2007 12:26

Just checking in quickly as it's my first day back at work, but wanted to say that I am so sorry to hear of Missnatalie and Verso's news.

I hope that you are both physically recovering okay and that I might bump into you on the pg after m/c thread before I graduate...

Hello to everyone else and will be back to post more later...

buffythenappyslayer21 · 16/04/2007 14:11

i dreamt that i killed my lunatic neighbour, had similar sort of dreams for about a week!!

but now they are getting very saucy!!of course, they always feature dh!! (thats what i tell him anyway!!!)

ejt1764 · 16/04/2007 14:31

Hi all,

Sorry to hear you're not having good dreams - we'll have to put some saucy thoughts in your head so you get some 'good' ones!

I've been in to see the midwife this morning, bit of a non-event really - I asked for a physio referral, and she said yes. I explained about the bleed, and she wrote it down. I explained about still feeling anxious, and she said that was normal ... and that's it as far as she is concerned until I'm 25 weeks!

Next appointment is for scan on 22nd May - I then have to see the consultant with my long list of questions.

I emailed the doula who's been recommended to me this morning - she's coming around on Wednesday at 1pm.

I've also emailed my boss to let her know that I intend coming back to work next Monday - there's still the issue of my blood pressure dropping like a stone every now and then, and she's asked me to get a note from my GP confirming I'm ok to come back to work.

Had better make an appointment with my GP - I think they're probably going to give me my own seat in there!

I thereHi there,

How is everyone today?

Have just got back from Devon today.

Sorry to here te news from missnatalie and Verso.

My DD had had chickenpox while we DP and I were away, so her grandparents could not do all that they had planned. Called my docs to check what I need to do, butas I had it as a child I do not need any more bllod tests. Will call them in the morning to make an appointmtnt for her, to check when she can go back to school. The school have said she is ok to go back if all the spots are out, but I want to double check with the doc as theree looks to be a few still to come out yet.

greedyforbabies · 16/04/2007 16:53

DON'T get me started on the filthy dreams! i always get so horny when i am pg and this time seems worse than ever! had to do it twice on sunday morning i was so horny!!!!! (never used to do that when i wasn't pg!)

greedyforbabies · 16/04/2007 16:56

kezza - dont suppose you were at PAH today were you? i was there having my bloods done and saw a woman with antenatal blood forms who looked like you look on your profile and i convinced myself it was you! i was very close to going up to her to introduce myself! she would have thought i had lost it!

KezzaG · 16/04/2007 17:39

No it wasnt me, glad you didnt say anything now?!

I will let you know next time I am there, just in case. I have brown hair now as well just to make it more confusing.

And sex twice in one morning???? Dear God, that is impressive. I am definfately missing out!

MrsFish · 16/04/2007 18:20

Think I am missing out on horny dreams too My DH wishes I was, he is the horny one at the moment, all I want is for him to leave me alone

My dreams have been violent or sad at the moment. I even woke myself up the other morning punching my pillow, never actually lashed out whilst asleep before

ejt1764 · 16/04/2007 18:53

greedy - twice in 1 morning !!

Chance'd be a fine thing - dh has reassured me that he doesn't mind being woken up when I have one of those dreams ... what a surprise

Have phoned the GP's surgery and asked if I really needed an appointment to get signed off sick as of next Monday - they have asked my doc and she's left me a sign-off sick note at reception.

Now to inform work ....

greedyforbabies · 16/04/2007 19:42

i should say it was only twice in one morning cos it was our anniversary and dddddh had planned a surprise weekend away in london at a posh hotel, organised the theatre and the restaurant and basically been the best husband in the world ever! so i owed him big time (forgot to get him a pressie! whoops!) and it just happened to coincide with me having a particularly crude dream! (not about him i should add! but obviously i didnt tell him that bit!)

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 16/04/2007 19:46

Hi everyone,

hope your all well

i'm suffering with nose bleeds too, every flaming morning, though not had no funny dreams lately

got a letter this morning from the mw saying i'm anemic and to contact my gp, i'm already on iron tablets so how can i be?!

saw my gp last thur, he felt my tummy and said i was consistent with 15 weeks, which made me feel a bit better since i have'nt had a scan since about 9 weeks and was a little worried.

i've got a lady coming on thurs about a doula, as they are running a scheme round here, don't know if i'll have to pay or not, will find out when she comes.

i'm struggling with clothes too, as my maternity clothes feel a bit big, nut nothibg else really fits me, think i'll have to get some drawstring trousers how about everyone else?

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 09:34

Maternity clothes too big, normal clothes too small can't win atm

I dreamt last night that I gave birth to 9 piglets must because I am feeling like a big fat pig at the moment

KezzaG · 17/04/2007 10:19

greedy your dh sounds lovely, and now I feel a bit better about not having sex twice in the morning, makes a world of difference when you are in a hotel and no dc's around.

J20 and MrsFish, Im exactly the same as you, too big for normal clothes and too small for maternity. I am wearing some maternity trousers now but whereas normally they would be on the bump, they are not filled out enoigh and are actually sitting somewhere under my boobs. I look like one of those fat old men with the huge flies that zip all the way up to their chins. Still, I worse them out for a meal Saturday night and they were very comfortable when I was full

MrsFish · 17/04/2007 10:31

LoL - I have that image in my head now

I am having to wear belts with my maternity trousers at the moment as they are all under the bump ones. Also the tops make me look much bigger than I am thus making me feel a fat frump so am stll trying to wear normal ones, but they are a bit too short now, ho hum.

Mumpbump · 17/04/2007 10:47

Morning all. I am still in my normal clothes, but they are usually baggy on me s I can tell I am getting bigger. Our au pair was away last week and said yesterday that I now had a belly so I am definitely showing. Thankfully, suit jackets are hiding it still at work so hopefully I can get past the 20 week scan before I tell all and sundry...

For those with iron deficiency, try eating apricots which are rich in iron and also high in fibre so they help combat any constipation.

I am also having disturbed nights. Got up once last night with an anxiety dream and once with ds who had kicked his covers off again so booted dh out of bed when ds woke up at 06:40 this morning... Dreading the last three months if I'm this knackered now.

Very jealous of greedy! I was really horny when I was pg with ds, but neither of us are really up for it much with this pg. I think it's partly the worry about another m/c and not wanting to do anything which might jeopardise the pg.

ejt1764 · 17/04/2007 10:52

greedy - now you've explained, it seems eminently reasonable - I'm very jealous - what brownie points!!

I have bought 2 bumpbands - they are a bit pricey - but worth it. I can't do up any of my normal trousers, so I pop one of these on and it hides the fact that my trousers are undone. And it makes it look like I'm wearing a longer tshirt than I am. And I am wearing it with my maternity trousers too, to hold them up more comfortably. definite recommendation (no affiliation to the company, yada, yada)

Right, need to go and get something to shade my greenhouse - my tomatoes and cucumbers are looking a bit scorched. Am also going to pick up the note signing me off sick leave as of next Monday. Quite looking forward to going back to work - not an easy time to go back - I'm head of languages at the school where I work, and have set up a programme allowing kids who have a language other than English as their first language to gain accreditation in that language ... kids will be taking exams in 17 different languages this year - and aound about now they'll all start doing their speaking exams ... hopefully, the fact that I handed over organisation of it all will mean that I don't have too many headaches to deal with. I tell you what though (proud moment here), when you see the kids who are in year 7 (first year secondary school) collecting their GCSE certificates, with A* in their home language, it makes me well up with pride! In our recent inspection, the community languages programme was singled out as an 'outstanding feature'. Right, boast over now, am now going to come back down to earth and sort out this greenhouse!

Have a lovely Tuesday!
