Northern he's so cute especially whilst sleeping I'm sure people have already said this, but my sister always said cover the willy with a baby wipe straight away because as soon as air hits it, he'll wee!

Tea he'll be in our room first but it'll be a similar temperature as it's also at the back of the house. It was 15C when I checked first thing, but imagine it will have been a few degrees colder in the early hours of the morning - I'll have to check tonight when I no doubt wake at 3am for a pee Blush

beachsands · 23/04/2017 11:59

Huge congrats northern and wish all the boys!
newbie the exhaustion sounds normal. I've made brekkie, had a shower and I'm resdy for a nap after a lie in this morning. Nauseous after eating anything too! The joys of late pregnancy.

Tickyboovicki · 23/04/2017 12:01

Huge congratulations wish and northern he is beautiful!

Also huge thanks to whoever gave me to word prangry, already a firm favourite with the other half 🙊

Sharing this for all of us today!

Aw lovely newborns!😍

Even though I am totally over having any more of my own I do like to see the result of all our hard work.

MissMooMoo · 23/04/2017 12:14

Congratulations wish!
Yes thats 3 boys so far plus the little one from the FB group, surely the next must be a girl?!

What a lovely photo northern dark hair!

Relaxing day today, DH and I stayed in bed until 10, sat in the garden for coffee and now I am having a hot bath.
Hoping to sort out the last little bits in the nursery and give it a good hoover, and mop the floor in there.
Off to my dh's aunties for dinner later and hair colour and cut as she is a hair dresser.

Goodluck to everyone who has someone running the marathon today.

jennymac31 · 23/04/2017 13:13

Congratulations wish xx

peasandquiet · 23/04/2017 13:20

Barnes I wouldn't worry too much about the temperature. If it's a chilly night pop and extra blanket over the baby. Will be getting warmer not colder over the next few weeks. There is no need for a heater or heating on overnight in May.
Temperature can be one of those things to obsess about when they are tiny, if I coped with a Feb newborn in the snow we are all going to be just fine with may babies!
Lovely to hear more babies are arriving, congratulations ladies xx

PeachIcedT · 23/04/2017 13:44

Big congratulations @WishIWasSleeping! I hope you can squeeze out a pee soon and get yourself home.

Gorgeous photo @Northernexile , sounds like you need a wee shield to protect yourself at nappy change time, it sounds like a skill doing that.

@teainbed seems like a lot of nappies, I'm hoping at some point that usage slows down!

teainbed · 23/04/2017 13:51

Yes the baby would be fine probably in those temperatures. I'd freeze on the other hand and would probably be wanting it a bit warmer especially for feeding at night! Bearing in mind baby won't be crawling for another 9 months or so I wouldn't worry about the safety of a plug in radiator just yet.

1004Rise · 23/04/2017 16:35

Congratulations @WishIWasSleeping! Another boy must be time for a girl next on the thread. Fingers crossed for pee, think of waterfalls and dripping taps..... Good size for 37 weeks, he was obviously ready to meet you Flowers

@Northernexile he's gorgeous! Fingers crossed you're both ready to go home soon

@teainbed loving the random stats, think I have 2 packs of newborn nappies so far but I'm expecting to use more than practiced mums Grin

@SouthPole welcome! I'm so impressed that you won't go through all this pregnancy malarkey for your friends!

@EsmesBees hope your DH's marathon went well! That's a lot of training but at least he can rest from the training for the next few weeks an help you out more.

Made it back home after wedding and family visits, going to slump on the sofa bounce on my ball to watch the MotoGP with DH this evening to get ready for my last week at work starting tomorrow, seems like it's taken forever to get to this point but it's also arrived really quickly! Blush

1004Rise · 23/04/2017 17:10

Oh can I win the prize for the most random intrusive experience? Stopped at a service station on the way up the road and as we were walking across the car park some random woman sitting outside smoking shouted at me "when is it due?" Needless to say we ignored her, but who does that? Seriously weird!! Hmm

Sipperskipper · 23/04/2017 17:41

Congratulations wish - wonderful news!! Hope you all get home soon.

Sipperskipper · 23/04/2017 17:42

northern he is beautiful!!

RasperryInAMelon · 23/04/2017 18:29

Will catch up properly later, but ladies who have had babies...

I'm in the car, crazy uncomfortable really sore back (worse than normal), feeling really sick and getting a mixture of frequent tightenings at the top of bump on the right (anterior placenta is also situated on the right) and movement from baby on the left

No waters leaking - need I be concerned?

beanturnipandspud · 23/04/2017 18:38

@RasperryInAMelon all women are different. However this may just be your journey & you may not have drunk enough. I get more BH and they can be uncomfortable if I've not had lots of water. I'd try having a drink and a lie down when you can and seeing if the tightenings calm down. Aslong as your happy with baby movements and that your not leaking any fluids I wouldn't be concerned.
That being said, if you're concerned ring triage 😊 mummy's instincts are there for a reason x

ShiniBerry · 23/04/2017 18:47

Congratulations Wish hope you're feeling well.

Beautiful little boy Northern

Hope DH had a good marathon EsmesBees

Wow Rise how intrusive!

I also finding the random stats very helpful, thanks Tea keep them coming! :-)

What a generous and lovely thing to do for your friends Southpole

yellowismyfavourite · 23/04/2017 18:49

Welcome southpole what a lovely thing to do
wish congratulations. Lovely photo northern hope you both get home today.

I am on antenatal ward after starting induction... pessary in and contractions started. Sent DH home for food and rest... We will be having a long day tomorrow and thought he would be more support fed and awake!! Miss him already though. We had to spend nearly 3 hours strapped to CTG earlier as baby's heartrate was decelerating slightly but it improved once I laid on my side. Think it's going to be a long night!

beanturnipandspud · 23/04/2017 18:58

Sorry, @RasperryInAMelon post came up first and I replied before catching up on everything of today.

Firstly, congratulations @WishIWasSleeping ... hope day 1 has gone ok for you 😊 💙

@teainbed 😩😩 that's not what I wanted to hear. I needed paracetamol after Turnip. They were awful. But at least I am aware now 👍🏼😊 I have also heard the same about birthing at home, in secretly hoping for my labour to begin at 8pm, baby out by midnight. Midwives gone by 1am. 6 hours sleep and bean & Turnip asleep the whole time. Wishful thinking but that's my dream haha.
Love the boring stat of the day 😍 Turnip never grew out of doing a poo in a fresh clean nappy ... was so irritating however, she potty trained herself at 13months. Refused a nappy and went to the toilet, she really hated being dirty from the beginning. Unlike bean .... he would lie in it all day if you allowed him to.

@FoxMulder we would just leave the car at home, and find somebody to give DH a lift back home to pick car up once everything calmed down. Especially if I was transferring during labour, as he really wouldn't want to miss the birth.

@Rustler74 thank you 😊 I have completely different relationships with both bean & Turnip and both as lovely as the other. Bean is a mummy's boy, he enjoys spending his time with me and is really loving. He's always loved cuddles and watching films on the sofa and stuff. As turnip is more for daddy, isn't as cuddly and is really really independent. But she loves girly stuff and for that she wants me. And has recently started asking for girl days 😍
As for the after pains, Not a single person warned me about them. With bean I was bf and each time he fed my tummy hurt like period pain, not as bad as labour but similar feeling. I thought I was doing it all wrong. I didn't need pain relief though. However it's normal. With turnip the pains were more painful than beans I needed paracetamol 😪
As for prams, we're taking our egg to Spain in August, we have travel insurance so if it gets damages I will claim on that. I wouldn't want him to be facing away from me so young so don't like the idea of an umbrella buggy when he will be 3months ish.

@EsmesBees hope your DH had a good run and that you had an ok day too 😊

@1004Rise that is very random, intrusive and rude. I would have ignored them too! 😡

Last Monday get up for me tomorrow until march next year, this makes me incredibly happy! I'm done with work and making an effort 😩🙈👊🏼

Barnes79 · 23/04/2017 19:08

Yellow exciting! Hope tomorrow isn't too long and LO arrives quickly and safely. Flowers

PeachIcedT · 23/04/2017 19:11

@yellowismyfavourite wow it's all happening! Hope tonight and tomorrow goes well and quickly for you and looking forward to your update!

savagehk · 23/04/2017 19:22

Re pram damage, the airlines usually fix/pay for it. Indeed, when it happened to us, I had a number to phone and then when I called they asked for exact make and model, said 'we have one of those in blue' and delivered it the next day. Bizarre that they do it often enough they have stock.

Re heating, something like this works quickly in a small room. But I'd not be very worried and as others have said it should be warming up soon anyway.

FoxMulder · 23/04/2017 19:24

Ooh yellow how exciting! This was a planned induction wasn't it? Sorry I can remember who's said what!

Bean that might be a better idea re leaving the car at home. Although would mean ILs coming to the hospital to fetch him. I don't want that! Then DH would be away for hours getting the car later on. Last time he ended up sleeping in it in the hospital car park when he got kicked out! Hmm I need to think about this one.

RasperryInAMelon · 23/04/2017 19:53

Thanks @beanturnipandspud have been home for about 40 minutes had something to drink and a little lie down, it seems to have calmed down now thankfully.

Will keep an eye tonight, have a MW appt tomorrow morning so can mention it then.

@Badgerbird I hope your Sunday turned out better than yesterday?

@beanturnipandspud the hen do sounds fun! Such a nice way to spend some time with your DD too ☺️

@SouthPole 👋🏻 welcome to the madhouse!

@teainbed 😳😳😳 on the nappy stats...

@EsmesBees 🏅 how did DH get on?

@WishIWasSleeping 💙💙💙 congratulations! Do nice to see all these babies arriving! Fingers crossed you get to go home tonight 🤞🏻

@newbieho I'm feeling the same as you but struggling to fit in any naps what with a million Hospital appointments sadly

@Northernexile eeeee! He's gorgeous 😍

@MissMooMoo sounds like a lovely day of well deserved relaxing!

@yellowismyfavourite exciting!! Good luck for tomorrow

We've had a crazy long weekend since Thursday making the last visits to see family before LO arrives. My SIL threw me the loveliest baby shower today, seriously cannot believe the generosity of my friends and family!

Many congratulations on your little boy Wish! Hope you get home to your DD soon.

Yellow sounds like you'll be next! Best of luck.

Thanks for all the marathon wishes! DH did so well. Am incredibly proud. Great atmosphere, but as predicted, the travelling around London with the crowds and the buggy and bump was tough going. So pleased it's over. DD was very impressed that Peppa Pig ran the marathon!

Raspberry has the pain stopped? It might just be you are cramped from being in the car.

EsmesBees · 23/04/2017 19:58

Oh cross post raspberry! Glad the pain has stopped and you had a lovely baby shower.
