Ooh take care @WishIWasSleeping. Hope
You get a nice quiet ward where you can rest.

Rockyroad17 · 22/04/2017 05:45

Exciting times @wish! In my mind my waters are going to break incredibly dramatically (I saw a family friend lose her waters in a spectacular fashion when I was about 6 and that seems to have stayed with me Grin). In reality I'm sure it'll be nothing like that!

Congratulations @northern sounds like everything is going well for you. Did you say you already had two DDs? I'm sure they are over the moon.

Been pretty manic here over the last few days rushing between appointments and trying to pick up some last minute bits. I reckon I've probably walked more than 10 miles. I can definitely feel the baby further down but also still quite high up, maybe it's had a growth spurt!

Hope you all have lovely weekends planned xx

crazyzooo · 22/04/2017 05:53

Joining the insomnia crew... Been awake since 3am Hmm

Congratulations northern Flowers

I too am angry ticky or "prangry* as my stupid brave DP refers to it as...

Exciting news wish

MissMooMoo · 22/04/2017 06:08

Congratulations Adventure!!! That is 3 boys from our May group now, next one is surely to be a girl?

Wish hope you manage some sleep and they confirm either way if it is your waters or not.

I am up for the day! Have a midwife appt at 9am today and DH woke me up banging around in his wardrobe and turning on all the lights. He has gone out with his mates for their annual record store day day. I noticed he left his flask of tea on the table, serves him right!

My contractions and discharge have amounted to nothing, I didn't really expect they would. Still having them very irregularly, some are def BH but others mist be the real deal? They make my whole tummy go hard and I really have to stop and concentrate/breathe slowly until it passes.
Hopefully the midwife can give me some insight, hoping I have one during the appt actually!

MissMooMoo · 22/04/2017 06:09

I meant to write congrats to Northern Blush

newbieho · 22/04/2017 06:16

Fingers crossed @WishIWasSleeping xx 🙂

Our babies started to arrive and I think so far we've got babytea, babynorthern and babywish on its way. Yay! Hope I have not missed anyone...

ShiniBerry · 22/04/2017 06:57

Good luck WishIwasSleeping !

EsmesBees · 22/04/2017 07:05

Good luck Wish. Hope you got some sleep.

Sounds like baby Moo won't be far behind either. That could be the first stage of labour if you are having 'proper' contractions too.

I reckon the next thread baby will be a girl too...

lullaby23 · 22/04/2017 07:14

OMG wish!! Hope they can confirm soon, if your waters have gone would they need to induce to avoid infection after a certain amount of time? Exciting!

Sorry things have slowed down for you missmoo lots of practicing do you think??

MissMooMoo · 22/04/2017 07:34

Lullaby I am only 36+3 so lots of time yet! Its also my first baby so I am just expecting to go all the way until the 'limit' anything before would be a bonus!

lullaby23 · 22/04/2017 07:39

Loads of time then! Are the contractions actually hurting or just strong BH do you think?

Barnes79 · 22/04/2017 08:08

Ticky that sounds just like me last weekend - except it was all day every day of the bank holiday weekend. I just couldn't help myself from snapping Blush

Wish How are things going?

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 22/04/2017 08:11

Congratulations northern, look forward to a picture whenever you have time Flowers

Good luck wish hope all goes well.

Awww so chuffed other people find the ducklings irresistible too! The duckling hotel is actually still open, we were advised to keep bringing them home at night for a couple of weeks as they are only 2 or 3 days old so now at 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30 I pop for a wee and refresh the porridge oats and crush up a few more mealworms... Though in surprise news ducklings are really good at sleeping through the night so I wouldn't be surprised if the chirrups at 3.30 translate into 'piss off back to bed and quit staring at us you crazy nelly'!!

MissMooMoo · 22/04/2017 08:24

No they hurt! I can tell the diff between a BH and one of these. My whole belly goes rock hard and then eventually it goes back to normal. Most I have had was 2 days ago I had 3 in 30-35 minutes. Not concerned as I just know baby and body are preparing for the real deal!
Seeing MW in about 40 minutes for my 36 week appointment so will have a chat with her about them then.

Autumnsweater · 22/04/2017 08:44

wish exciting! Another baby on the way.. good luck and hope you got some sleep.

That reminds me actually I was wondering yesterday if I should put something waterproof under my side of the mattress.. particularly since have been sleeping naked recently, so bloody hot. New mattress this year!

Ticky Barnes crazy I've been calmer than usual during pregnancy.. until this week when I've been all over the place! Couldn't calm down yesterday after the hosp appt saga, and either snapped or cried or both 3 times over harmless stuff DH said.

MissMooMoo ooh let us know what the midwife said! Sounds like something is happening.. I haven't even had BH yet so can't imagine.

1004Rise · 22/04/2017 09:10

Congratulations @Northernexile hope you had a reasonable night rest! Does baby Nothern have a name? Don't share if you don't want, more interested to know if you've been able to decide, our short lists are still very long!!

@WishIWasSleeping eeek exciting times looking forward to an update, hope you're both well!

Oooo @MissMooMoo definitely sounds like practice, be interested to know what MW says. I still haven't had any BH, well not any I can feel at any rate!

@dreamofhungarianlanterns ha ha at the duckling hotel, at least it gives you something to do when your awake in the middle of the night! Grin

I survived the wedding, I didn't get accosted by too many random people either, was quite happy in my corner. Had the added bonus of getting my cousin to feel bump to work out what way up baby is (she is a MW not just random Smile) to try and work out if all my upside down evening exercises have made a difference! She thinks head is down but not straight down so no where near ready to come out yet! Will see what my midwife says on Monday Confused

1004Rise · 22/04/2017 09:12

@Autumnsweater my DH has just informed me this morning than he's going to for the waterproof seat cover on whatever seat I'm on in the car... he's not worried about the bed, he just doesn't want to have to scrub the car seat Hmm

WishIWasSleeping · 22/04/2017 09:17

Morning again all!
Was def my waters, had some lovely trickles... Confused
Got about an hour and a half of uninterrupted sleep..!
They've just hooked me up to a baby monitoring machine. DH is a bit crazy at home and wants to be in as soon as possible. The machine is telling me I'm having small contractions, which is nice of it!
Lullaby - they usually induce within 48 hours if you don't start off naturally to try and avoid infection. They've said if I don't start myself they'll induce this afternoon. I didn't think I'd get much of a normal labour so we'll see how things go!
I wasn't expecting baby this early but I am very impressed at baby's listening skills so far!! Grin

Hope your appointment goes well Moo.

MissMooMoo · 22/04/2017 09:28

I was in luck and had a contraction just as she was measuring me! She confirmed it was a real one.
Baby seems very happy though and isn't really engaged Hmm so not sure why my body is contracting.
She said it can go on like this for weeks so not to get too excited.
Measured perfectly for my curve and hb was fine.
Next appt 6th of May.

rise we recently bought a waterproof mattress protector for our bed just in case, also for baby related wetness.

wish VERY exciting, sounds like baby wish will be here soon.

FoxMulder · 22/04/2017 09:31

Wow wish baby is definitely going to be here soon then! Eek! You know you can be monitored for infection if you don't want the induction? Hope things start up on their own before then anyway. How many weeks are you?

FoxMulder · 22/04/2017 09:33

We also just got a waterproof mattress cover. And a new mattress! Good trip to Ikea...

yellowismyfavourite · 22/04/2017 09:33

wish that's exciting... Good luck... look forward to a baby update!
missmoomoo good luck for the appointment
autumn I put a towel under the sheet to help protect the mattress as we only bought a new one 6 weeks ago... In hindsight maybe should have waited a little bit and managed with the old one!

WishIWasSleeping · 22/04/2017 09:35

I'm 37+2, and induction is absolutely fine by me! Had induction because of hypertension with DD, thought the labour was relatively easy, so i wouldn't mind it again to be honest. Just not sure whether to wait until tomorrow as that's my nephews 5th birthday. Don't know if he'll love me or hate me for it! z

lullaby23 · 22/04/2017 09:36

wish super exciting, all the best this afternoon Smile

missmoo great timing!

Badgerbird · 22/04/2017 09:41

Eeeeek wish!! That's so exciting!! How many weeks are you? Hope you are being well looked after and hubby can get back to you soon :)

crazy I love Prangry!! GrinGrin

It's a confusing business missmoo isn't it!? I'm having BH as I type, they have really ramped up over last 2 days and taken me by surprise if I'm honest. Be interesting to see what your mw says :)

Hope all the insomniacs aren't too shattered today Brew
