savage, esmesbees thank you - the problem definitely seems connected to the baby not being here yet. They say I have to register before mat leave starts, but also that I can't register til after the baby is born Confused

Congratulations northern

EsmesBees · 21/04/2017 16:41

Congratulations northern! Fingers crossed for a quick recovery

Savage I need to do some more reading but in theory nothing against trying for a breech vaginal birth. I'm not bothered about the pain or the risk of tearing, but would need to look in to whether the fact that DD came so quickly is likely to be a problem.

Badgerbird · 21/04/2017 17:21

northern huge congratulations!! Star

autumn what a nightmare!! Why couldn't they just say they were running behind?! A pregnant woman's gotta eat! And not get boiled Confused Good news though ;)

Cheeky baby esmes!! Let's hope it spins back round asap.

That's exciting news re hb fox Smile
Re tickling I get that, if I look down the tickling is to the left at v bottom under bump.... really hope she's "right" way round and stays that way but still got 5 weeks to go...

Nooooooooo teaspoon!!! Get to that hotel asap and enjoy someone else cooking dinner!

Totally pooped today and the braxton hicks have def ramped up. Given up trying to be very productive today!

ShiniBerry · 21/04/2017 17:49

ClaireSunflower · 21/04/2017 17:51

Huge congratulations @Northernexile! Can't wait to see the pictures. Hope you're recovering well

WishIWasSleeping · 21/04/2017 18:45

Cox - i will be still in the scheme whilst I'm on mat leave and when I go down to SMP my employer will pay the vouchers, as the way I understood it, you can't have any substitutions from SMP. I'm not sure if you have to already been a member though, (I have a DD) My employer uses fidilety vouchers.

Esme - I feel for you. I also have little family support as my DH works in London during the week, my mum lives abroad and DH's mum wouldn't even entertain taking a day off work in October (we offered to pay her) to look after both children so we could go to a wedding... I told my consultant this yesterday and that I was worried I wouldn't be able to cope with a CS. They agreed to induce on my due date to try and avoid any further complications should baby continue to grow. Also, as Savage said, breach is entirely possible with support. I was my mums first and was full breach (bum first, legs up body and feet towards head) and were both still here and healthy! I won't mention the 30 odd stitches and long labour she had! Fingers crossed for a turn for you just to make things easier!!

Northern - Congratulations on baby Northern! Hope you're resting and recovering well.

I'm also here for roll call! Grin my rascal isn't engaged even the slightest bit yet... I think I need to try all the old wives tales!

mrspage1985 · 21/04/2017 19:23

Clairesunflower I'm the same - full of rolls and twists rather than kicks. Sometimes he literally feels like he is going to fall out - and I'm only 34+4 god knows what it will be like the further on I get!

Congratulations northern xxx

Glad this week is over - 1 more to go until mat leave starts and am sooooo ready for it!! X

Rustler74 · 21/04/2017 19:30

Congratulations @Northernexile enjoy your new addition to the family. Is this the 3rd boy? Including the fb thread baby... I wonder if that increases the odds of the next baby being a girl.

@Teaspoon74 what a pain. Let's hope that the basic hotel will offer what you need. Is it insurance helping out here?

@EsmesBees that's a bit of a dumper, maybe it will turn again, or ECV might be a possibility?

Tickyboovicki · 21/04/2017 19:33

Huge congratulations Northern! So pleased for you, and hope your recovery is speedy 😊

EsmesBees · 21/04/2017 19:55

Thanks all. WishI I'm glad your consultant was understanding. I can't believe your MiL wouldn't help even if paid! It would all feel very different if my mum was still around, but things are what they are. I'm hopeful for a turn.

FoxMulder · 21/04/2017 20:06

Congratulations northern! Great news!

Esme AIMS publish a booklet on options with a breech baby. But hopefully it won't come to that, there's time yet.

Autumnsweater · 21/04/2017 20:25

I've calmed down now Grin. Nice to have a rant here from time to time!

Northernexile congratulations!!

Esme hope baby turns for you.

Teaspoon what a nightmare!! Puts things in perspective.

Wish Shock at your MiL!

Tickyboovicki · 21/04/2017 22:51

Anyone find themselves getting so easily irritated? Mine seems to be particularly by the other half in the evenings Blush sometimes even though I know I'm being silly I still get so annoyed over tiny things!

jennymac31 · 21/04/2017 23:18

Evening ladies

Had a bit of a pants day, as spent most of it in hospital (physiotherapist referral and then foetal movement check). Everything seems to be fine.

Decided to bite the bullet and buy some extra bits for hospital bag (lavender oil, aloe vera & witch hazel) as well as the cosydream for baby boy. Am getting the remaining essential stuff for the hospital bag in my online grocery delivery this week. Thought I'd get my arse back in gear again, as physiotherapist kept on saying I'll be at full term next week (even though I would have reached 37 weeks!) and didn't seem concerned that she was slightly freaking me out.

lullaby23 · 22/04/2017 01:50

Congratulations on your little boy northern glad it went well and he's feeding and snoozing 💙💙💙

WishIWasSleeping · 22/04/2017 03:10

Morning all. Grin
Possible TMI to follow...

So, decided I needed a wee at about half 12.... tried to shift in bed, and got that damp
sensation and some leakage. Stood up and had some more leakage. Peed and leaked some more. It's quite slow this time around. With DD the whole lot was out within half an hour! So I woke up DH, called assessment, had a shower whilst we waited for the babysitter to arrive and I'm now being assessed. Unless my bladder has grown considerably over the last 24 hours my waters have gone. I've got pressure, but no contractions and baby isn't engaged. No internal yet. (And doesn't look like I'm getting one either) pretty sure they are going to send us home, much to the disappointment of DH!
We had a cinema date booked at 1pm today too!! Best laid plans and all that!

Hope you're all doing ok. x

teainbed · 22/04/2017 03:49

Ooh sounds like it's happening @WishIWasSleeping ! Good luck!

WishIWasSleeping · 22/04/2017 04:26

Thanks Tea.
They keeping me in as BP all over the place. They just about to send DH home and me to a ward. I'm looking forward to a little sleep! Grin
