Tip I think that's totally normal! Just remember to breathe, empty your bladder, and let us all know how you get on Grin

Lixon · 15/04/2017 10:46

Good luck tiptop!!

And great news mrsbluebell- it's such a nice feeling isn't it! I didn't realise the Work trip was a whole week, good luck with the excuse - that would be a lot of gin to throw away!

Sorry to those vomiting already, it is a good indicator that things are going well though so hopefully that brings a bit of comfort..?!

Carley how funny about your oblivious husband, mine is exactly the same and wouldn't notice boxes of tests! Lovely that he is excited now. Mine is not really engaged at all and only got a bit excited last time after the first heartbeat scan. He said this morning I mustn't get too excited about the digI result, I think if we make it past the 12w scan he'll get into it more but he is very laid back about everything..

ChocolateRaisin · 15/04/2017 11:14

Morning everyone, I'm 6 weeks today and feeling tired and nauseous. Had to get up for the loo 3 times last night!!

Good luck today Tip! My symptoms fluctuate a bit as well, though I'm trying not to worry. I've always got a feeling that I'm hungover now though, it's not really going away.

I had the best bacon sandwich ever for lunch yesterday, I might have to have another one today!

Angielka · 15/04/2017 12:34

One thing my lovely doctor said yesterday at the scan was not to panic if symptoms fluctuate - it's normal. I also noticed that in previous pregnancies I needed to pee all the time and this time it's not so noticeable; first time I felt rough but never vomited but the second time and even more so this time I'm getting used to having my head down the loo. I guess we're all different and each pregnancy is different.

Good luck to us all Flowers

Angielka · 15/04/2017 12:36

Oh and I just ate masses of herring for lunch. Don't usually touch the stuff but the vinegary, salty taste just hit the spot today, after craving fast food chips yesterday but making do with a frozen pizza Confused

TheGrumpySquirrel · 15/04/2017 12:36

I'm six weeks tomorrow and only just noticed having to wee more often. Not feeling sick yet (hope it stays away!) but do feel a bit spaced out and dizzy and tired. I can smell everything!

Mrsbluebell17 · 15/04/2017 12:40

Just had a letter confirming my booking in appointment for 24/5. Please can that be added to the list?

Also I'll be a day off 11 weeks then. Is that not really late for a booking in appointment? Will they put forward for my scan before that or wait until then? I'm worried it's a bit late to get my 12 week scan sorted?
Can anyone advise? First pregnancy so I know very little!

glastogal · 15/04/2017 12:40

Good luck today Tip! Hope the scan gives you a lovely boost!

Mrsbluebell17 · 15/04/2017 12:45

Sorry I missed your post Tip. Good luck for today. Let us know how you get on.

TipTop333 · 15/04/2017 13:31

Scan all good. Heartbeat really clear and measuring on my dates. Big sigh of relief (for now!). Thanks for all the well wishes!

Tiptop that's amazing news x

weasledee · 15/04/2017 14:09

Great news tip top :)

Angielka · 15/04/2017 14:11

Yay tiptop! Such a relief Smile

tumbleouttabed · 15/04/2017 14:16

Good news tiptop.

What does anyone think about running/gymming in early pregnancy? I went for a slow run this am and felt better for it tbh. I think advice is it's ok to exercise tho not raise heartbeat too much / get too hot. I'm going to check with consultant next week when I go for scan on Tuesday but would be interested to know what others are planning.

Mrsbluebell17 · 15/04/2017 14:29

That's great news tip! Smile

Beardy1 · 15/04/2017 14:37

tumble I asked a similar question earlier in the last feed. I think I go by the same rules as you. I'm still going to the gym but I'm not lifting as heavy so as to make sure u don't get my heart up too high. I think you know your body as well with what it's okay doing and what it isn't. Although I'm finding the gym is my sanctuary at the moment. It helps give me loads of energy, I'm just missing my caffeine intake

BirdBrain85 · 15/04/2017 14:56

Tip I'm so pleased for you! :)

The nausea is kicking in for me now - at six week's exactly. Haven't been sick yet, just feel sicky. It seems to go away when I eat, but the nausea makes me not want anything - gah! It's complicated this pregnancy stuff.

Beardy1 · 15/04/2017 15:25

tip I'm so pleased for you too

fishfingerSarnies · 15/04/2017 17:43

The rule about gym/sport etc is that you can keep doing anything you were doing before but not recommended to start new things e.g. If you've never lifted weights bows not the time to start.

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 15/04/2017 18:37

Me and DP talked about what we would do if I needed a medical termination last night I might because of my epilepsy meds.
I would be totally devastated, but if I'm honest I couldn't cope with having a profoundly disabled child. Please don't judge me for my honesty.
Also, although I'm delighted about my pregnancy, I can't help feeling a bit sad about my honeymoon, was supposed to be going to WDW for 2 weeks in September, not sure what we are going to do now, as I think I will be too higher risk pregnancy to fly. ☹️ just generally feeling quite down.

isitwinetimeyet16 · 15/04/2017 18:46

Such fab news @TipTop333 you must be so relieved!!

@tumbleouttabed I worked out with weights til my due date last pregnancy and I think it really helped me in labour and recovery. I ran til about 28 weeks when my belly just got too big and it was uncomfortable. But as a PP said anything you're already doing is fine to carry on with - as long as it's not high risk for injury like riding or skiing? I'd go crazy without booze, caffeine AND exercise - need one of the three at least!!

isitwinetimeyet16 · 15/04/2017 18:48

@FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg sorry you're feeling down Cake would you be able to speak to your doctor about the meds risk? Re September would your insurer pay out for you to rearrange? You can fly up to 28 weeks with a doctors note I think but you wouldn't be able to go on a lot of the rides with a big bump!

fishfingerSarnies · 15/04/2017 19:08

Oh battenburg no wonder you're feeling down. Will keep everything crossed for you that it all works out and no judgement what so ever!

I haven't done any exercise in a month (since my early miscarried) even though I know it wasn't the gym that caused it I'm feeling very nervous about doing anything that might cause a problem. Though I do need to try and get some exercise in incase the sickness floors me again like my last pregnancy.

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 15/04/2017 19:10

@isitwinetimeyet16 I know, and we been planning to go for six years.
Unfortunately, I haven't got round to booking the insurance yet... was looking for the best deal! £3000 holiday, with all components booked separately... how stupid am I?!!
The meds risk is because i have taken no folic acid until I found out I was pregnant and they advise with epilepsy that you have a three month build up time before you get pregnant or higher risk of abnormalities.
Just feel so so sad, about everything.

Beardy1 · 15/04/2017 19:20

fishfinger don't get too panicked about the gym. I MC last month also and initially blamed lifting heavy weights in the gym which is my usual routine. I'm still continuing gymming this time around and just making sure I don't go too heavy. Don't let the MC affect what you'd normally do. There's research to show how beneficial it is. I now know that my previous MC was nothing to do with exercising.
