Tili · 12/03/2007 14:54

thinking of you both WO and Dooby xxx
Katy how did it go?

nuttygirl · 12/03/2007 14:59

Wishing WO & Dooby well.

Had a bit of a crappy weekend. Went looking for a christening dress on Sat. Walked all round Meadowhall, then Wakefield, then a retail park in Leeds then finally found one in the little shopping centre 1 mile from our house . So hips & back were really sore on Sat night. Then on Sunday had to go to B&Q (cos I broke the flush on the loo the other day - it still flushes but needs a new button). Decided as it was a nice day to also go to a garden centre and get some things for garden. DH just didn't seem interested so told him to forget it and put everything back. Eventually I stormed off to the car only for him to turn up later with all the stuff I'd told him I didn't want. cos by that time it was too late to do any gardening...grr. He's also got loads of bulbs/seeds and 1 tub .

Nearly PMSL in Meadowhall tho cos in a gift shop there was a HUGE wooden egg with wooden legs!!! (Sort of sat on a shelf with legs dangling over the edge) Wish I'd had my camera

liath · 12/03/2007 15:02

All the best to Dooby & WO too.

Had a terrible night, up with rib pain & really uncomfortable. Bump very very low and I've just had a show. Eeek! Eeek! Going into labour at 35 weeks is not in my game plan even if I'm sick of being pregnant but think I'll maybe just pack my bag as have been putting it off.

Pesha, what a catch 22 - could you pull in any favours to get help clearing up?

Went to Ikea to get a Big Girl's Bed for dd today, hope she likes it....

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 15:08

I'm back!
Who placed bets on a girl?

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 15:12

Nutty, sorry you had a pants weekend. I hate it when dh is seemingly dis-interested - makes me mad!

Liath - exciting stuff then - the show that is - not the rib pain.

I know I have a dd and should know this, but don't remember from last time - what does the show look like - if that is not too personal a question. Thanks hun!

Hope dd likes her new bed.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 15:14

Ooh Katy! I didn't place any bets at all I'm afraid. And........ the winner is???

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 15:14

It's a boy

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 15:16

Fabulous! And is everything ok with blue bean?

Tili · 12/03/2007 15:18

oooooooh congrats Katy did you have any boys names picked out?

SOSPL you make me laugh with asking about what Liaths show looked like from what I remember on the conception threads we were on you were always the resident pant watcher ! old habits eh? lol

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 15:18

Yes everything is fine thanks - my plancenta's moved out of the way, they did all the measurements again which show he's on the small side (apparently he's just over 4 pounds now) but well within the ranges. Head down as the midwife thought.
He was still really shy though - kept putting his hands over his face when she tried to get a picture!

OP posts:
liath · 12/03/2007 15:18

Congratulations Katy!! !

SOSPL - TBH it is like old blood & a bit mucousy (yuk, sorry). It's the same as last time - and last time I went into labour 3 hours later.

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 15:19

Yes, he's going to be called Tristan - it's going to be very odd calling him that instead of 'Bump'

OP posts:
liath · 12/03/2007 15:21

Oh, and if I suddenly vanish off the thread, don't all get TOO excited as my sister's ds2 has prolonged jaundice and has to have blood tests, scans etc so I may have to dash home to help out looking after her ds1 while she's up at the hospital.

Tili · 12/03/2007 15:22

I like the name Tristan good choice!

Liath do you think anything will happen for you today or not?

Its all getting very exciting on here now!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 15:23

Tili, I know, pant watching is number one on my list of hobbies!

Thanks Liath. Sorry to have had to ask, but I know this is such a sharing thread an' all!

Katy, lovely lovely name. I think I may have said that my nephew is Trystan - and they call him Tiffy.

Right, leaving work now, so back on later at home! x

Tili · 12/03/2007 15:23

Liath all the best for your sisters DS2

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 15:24

oooh liath have you had a show? When did I miss that?
Hope your nephew is alright

liath · 12/03/2007 15:28

Love Tristan, Katy, great name.

SOSPL - sort of hope Mrs GV is lurking still, this graphic pant talk would really put her off her cornflakes !

1becomes3 · 12/03/2007 15:29

Katy- congrats on you boy, I love the name tristan, but DH won't let me use it. Glad someone gets to.

WO and Dooby- good luck will be thinking of you both. god I did a good job pairing those two up
I tried to get people with EDD as far apart as I could, but apparently their babies have different ideas.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that their whole lives are just waiting to give birth.

1becomes3 · 12/03/2007 15:33

Oh laith just read your post about a show how exciting.

What big girl bed did you get from ikea? When the dt's are out of their baskets and into a cot we are going to get DD one of those metal framed adjustable bed's, in the kids section think they come in black and white very cute, I can't wait how sad am I

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 15:35

I completely missed the words "I've just had a show" - was too caught up in boy-mania

liath that's really exciting! Do you think things are happening?

OP posts:
Eddas · 12/03/2007 15:37

Liath, hope the show doesn't mean anything yet as you're still quite early and i'm first, hope your sis's lo is ok. I posted the book to you today, will you let me know when you get it? Hope it's before the baby's born

SOSPL, LOL at the show question!! Last time i got really excited when i had a show(waters had gone and 10 days o/d) but it turned out that it was only a tiny bit of the plug, loads more came later(sorry TMI!!)

WO/Dooby, hope you are ok

Maveta, lists huh, they always get made by me but things rarely get crossed off. I have just re-done my kitchen cupboards, very unlike me! DD helped bless her!

Katy, congrats on the little boy, i kinda wish i knew now. Poor dd gets very confused by if she's having a brother or sister, would be sooo much easier to refer to the bump by a name. Too late now so she'll just have to wait!

Nutty, my dh wouldn't have had any cash/credit cards on him so i would've ended up with nothing!!!!He tried i guess, even though he got the wrong stuff!!

mammyjo · 12/03/2007 16:01

Congratulations Katy!! Isnt it weird how everyone who guessed seem to go for a girl for you. Tristan is lovely too.

Liath, hope you are ok. I had a show 10 days ago and am still bloody well sitting here and not getting anywhere! Fingers crossed for you that its not on its way quite yet. Hope your sisters ds2 is ok.

SOSPL, lol at pant watching! I remember that from the early weeks too!

1b3, I totally feel that my life is consumed with when I might go into labour and actually give birth. Every day I get up wondering if today will be the day.
