Hi girls,

V of your night's sleep, SOSPL. I remember with DS that I slept much better after the birth than before by this stage.

Glad you've got a glimmer of good news about the school, octo.

Morning, MJ and Pesha.

Feeling a bit crampy here - back and legs, but not in a contractions way, just in the way that reminds you that that's where the pain's going to be!! Enough to get me to look out the hot water bottles and TENS machine anyway.

Washed all my baby girl's clothes this weekend. So cute.

Well done on the bathroom cleaning, octo. I've hoovered and mopped the sitting room and think that's plenty housework for today. Well, apart from the usual washing, shopping, cooking, kitchen cleaning of course.

Emptied and cleaned one of my kitchen cupboards this weekend too. nesting. Threw out all the old spices, dried fruit, out of date nuts etc. This is NOT normal behaviour for me.

Tili · 12/03/2007 10:31

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 11:06

CB, you have been busy! Where do you find the time with all your dc's?

I have been nesting as well. It is just impossible not to isn't it - an inbuilt drive to get it all done.

Hiya Tili. Lovely to see you, and hope you are ok. My bean is low down as well (as many have commenetd) and feel like I could topple over any minute!

Well done on packing your bag. I have done nothing!! Finish work at the end of the week, so from then on can concentrate on organising.

Pesha · 12/03/2007 11:44

Hello again

Had childminding course on sat, 9.30 til 5 sat in uncomfortable upright chairs and after that my back hips etc were absolute agony and I am getting much more achey all the time now so been to dr today who has officially diagnosed SPD and has referred me for physio although as he said whether i actually get to see anyone before having this baby is another matter as im 35 weeks today. Went to bed last night thinking about it all after what consultant had said last week and had a bit of a cry about it all. Ive been struggling in pain since about 20 weeks if not before, have mentioned it to mws and drs and been made to feel its just normal aches and pains due to this being my 3rd pg etc so have just been struggling on, trying very hard not to let it slow me down or stop me doing anything thinking that if its just normal pg aches and pains then why cant i cope with it same as everyone else. Im relieved now to know it is spd and im not just being a moaning cow but feel quite upset and let down that ive spent so much of my last ever pg feeling bad about myself and the pg when it could have been quite different.

octopussyintummy · 12/03/2007 12:20

Big hugs Pesha - know how you feel with the spd pain - try to rest now as much as possible - it really does help xoxoxox

Hello Tili - nice to see you

mammyjo · 12/03/2007 12:27

Poor you Pesha. Crap that you have struggled so much and by right you could have been referred for physio months ago. Hope you get some chance to rest up.

I do a bit of cleaning/tidying every day but find I cant do too much without feeling absolutely whacked. Have had a bit of a tidy round upstairs and put the hoover over so thats something. Dont think it counts as nesting though as I do that stuff every day anyway!!

Afternoon Clarice and Tili, glad you are both doing ok.

Tili · 12/03/2007 12:29

whats going on its actually quiet on here?

Dont tell me that you all have lives ?

mammyjo · 12/03/2007 12:30

It has been quieter for a little while I think. Not such a bad thing as I dont struggle so much to keep up!

Tili · 12/03/2007 12:35

me too mammyjo. but it really is coming to something when Ive posted more than once in a day!

Eddas · 12/03/2007 12:38

Hello everyone,

Sorry for those of you in pain and who have crap sleep etc. It's horrible, just glad my only real trouble is moving three hundred times a night and getting up to pee a lot. It's not much fun, just glad it'll soon be over.

Someone told me today that it's supposed to be a really hot summer so that'll be nice in a way but keeping kids cool when all they want to do is run about is a nightmare. At least only one of mine'll be doing that! And at least we won't be waddling about looking red, well not because of being pg anyway

3 weeks to go, yipee, soooo much still to do

Tili · 12/03/2007 12:39

Beth wants lunch so suppose id better oblige! I wish we had something more exotic than a cheese sandwich how depressing!

Tili · 12/03/2007 12:40

hi eddas xx

Tili · 12/03/2007 12:44

beth wants a cheese and crisp sandwich not exactly healthy but it adds a bit of a twist I suppose!
shopping not due to come till after 6 may have to raid the piggy bank and pay a sly visit to the chippy .

See you all laterxx

Pesha · 12/03/2007 12:44

Thank you, not sure about resting though.
Am having bit of a dilemma at the mo. In april the childminding start up grant changes and they told me on sat where i am its very unlikely i will get it if i wait til april but if I manage to get my home visit in this month i do get it. Its £300 and covers application costs, training costs, insurance and any equipment etc we need and i really cant afford to miss out on £300, we are desperately short of money as it is. Well not short but certainly none going spare iykwim. But to have the house ready for an inspection in 2 weeks time is going to take an enormous amount of work, its a mess at the mo. Clean but disorganised and toys everywhere as kids rooms not finished yet and ds' old bedis in the dining room which has become a bit of a dumping room since xmas. And at the same time i still have to be finishing the dcs rooms and preparing for the arrival of my baby. House doesnt have to be completely ready by the visit but certainly more ready than it is. yesterday i was determined to do it but today im feeling wiped out and dont see how i can manage it but cant afford to lose £300. Why cant anything ever just be simple?!

maveta · 12/03/2007 12:50

Morning!! Well that was a busy weekend and so far this morning at work has just flown.. can't believe I've had no time to check MN until now

Pesha - glad you got the diagnosis and although I haven't suffered with SPD I can feel your frustration at the lack of recognition/ late diagnosis. A lot of the time it just helps that what you are experiencing is acknowledged, not to mention the help you may have received earlier if it had been properly dealt with. Not long to go now though!

Hi Tili, been a while, good to see you around!

Eddas - I am SO glad we're getting these babies out before summer - my SIL was heavily pregnant with both her pregnancies in July and she really looked like she was suffering.

REAL NAPPY USERS - could you pop over and help me on my thread I've started in the nappy board? My confusion continues...

maveta · 12/03/2007 12:54

Pesha - seeing as you stand to save 300 quid, could you pay someone a small amount e.g. 50 quid to come and help you sort the house out? That's if you can't get anyone to help you for free? That way you get the house sorted, get the grant and still save 250?

Just an idea?

Katy44 · 12/03/2007 13:00

Hello everyone
Off to my scan in a sec, can't wait
GMM, glad you're back, will have to dig out my stalker kit from where it had been packed away in the back of the wardrobe since you'd not been around

OP posts:
Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 13:00

Pesha, really sorry to hear you are in pain, and that you could have been having physio for it weeks ago. The medical profession are a law unto themselves.

Hi Maveta, hope you are ok.

I am bored! Work has been manic for the last few weeks, and now I am in my last week, it is sooo quiet. I bet as soon as I go off, things will kick off and I'll be phoned and emailed like mad!

Eddas · 12/03/2007 13:04

Tili, mmm chips!!! I did that last wed lunchtime and was lovely, don't think i've ever had them for luch before, well not from the chippy!

Pesha, i agree with Maveta, try to do it if you can. Do you have family around to rope in? Plus if you can get help it'll mean things get sorted before the baby arrives too. I sympathise with the messy house, i'm crap at getting rid of anything so we always have clutter!

Forgot to say earlier, my heating is finished, hooray!!! It's only been 4/5 months ish, we have hot water and everything. Mind you not sure the heating is needed based on the weather today, but it's here anyway At last something i can tick off the mile long list

maveta · 12/03/2007 13:11

Hi SOSPL - I'm fine, thanks . Rib pain ongoing, slept with a hot water bottle balanced on my ribs last night but when I woke up in the wee hours they were sore again and couldn't be arsed to reheat the bottle. Humpf. Hows' yours going?

Eddas - yay for the heating and even bigger yay in general for ticking things off lists!! LOL

Eddas · 12/03/2007 13:16

Thanks!! ooo ooo and i got my dad to agree to come round one day next week to finish painting the nursery so i can nearly tick that off too!!!!

Emmymummy · 12/03/2007 13:17

SOSPL - have you checked the MN Home page today? One of the featured threads is about nits. Looks like lots of good advice about dealing with the little blighters.

maveta · 12/03/2007 13:32

Ok * gold star for you eddas! I'm doing really really well at the making lists side of things. Figure soon I'd better get on with crossing things OFF the list! Having said that we finally bought a cot mattress and changing mat at the weekend and I almost considered washing the baby clothes so..maybe I'm making progress

Octopussy - thought you could advise this girl about your flower waters??

she can't sleep

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 13:39

Maveta, rib pain is on and off. Is worse if I sit down too long, and as the afternoon/evening progresses (I guess when we are just generally more tired).

Emmy, thanks for the note re MN homepage. I will have a look.

xx
