Just popping in quickly.. lunch went really well but the 1year old, 3 year old and 4 year old have knackered us all out.. the SIL and BILs have taken them all off to the park, just waiting for them to come pick up MIL before we can go for a sleep...am soooo tired.

Hope dooby is doing okay and thanks for letting us know WO.

Have dutifully uploaded current belly pic to profile in interest of balance.. the front on view is scarier so I´ll leave that out

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 16:25

I cant see any personal info on there. Where are you seeing it? I can look at the photos but at the top of the page it has the link for logging in which I obviously cant use. Tell me if I am looking in the wrong place and I will go back and check.

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 16:26

I can't believe your midwife thought you had been putting on too much weight

You still look so neat You will def get the original one back!

1becomes3 · 11/03/2007 16:28

well as long as you can't browse other picture or files on my pc I suppose there is no harm done.

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 16:31

Maveta, you are so neat! With your toned tummy before I agree with octo. The muscles will pull it all back in you lucky bugger!

1becomes3 · 11/03/2007 16:37

OMG maveta sooooooo of your dinky bump
and that's a current picture I was like that at 20 weeks

I will never be the same again

Emmymummy · 11/03/2007 16:51

Maveta - I'm due on the same day as you and you are TINY compared to me! . You have nothing to worry about, honestly.

geordiemacminx · 11/03/2007 17:25

Hey ladies... tried to catch up but since I havent been on line since I left work its a little tricky - seem to have missed 3 whole threads!!

Things up here are fine fine fine, the home pc is knackered, dp bought me a laptop which came on thursday, but the screen is shit so its going back tomorrow... bloody crappy dell!! So I'll be off line again until we get a new one... I just want a cheap and cheerful one that I can use to keep in touch with everyone, but of course dp typical bloke wants an all singing all dancing £1000 job.. I THINK NOT!!!

Thanks to everyone who was concerned about me.. especially my little stalkers!!

I'm off down to my mums on tuesday so should be able to pop on line for a bit then.. although she seems to get a bit pissed when I go down to see her then spend hours on the computer.. hmm cant think why!!

Pleased everyone is ok (ish) hugs to all those who are down in the dumps at the moment!!

Pleased I havent missed any babies.. very of all you 37 weekers... I'm not 33 weeks til tuesday.. although I'm hoping that this little man might make an appearance in 4 weeks.. please!!!

Right gotta dash as there are loads of little bits of online things that I need to do before the laptop gets boxed up...

Love and hugs

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 17:32

Good to hear from you GMM and glad you are ok. Hopefully you will be back on line really soon.

maveta · 11/03/2007 18:32

Oh I feel a bit embarrassed now, I didn´t post it to go fishing for compliments I guess that´s first baby bellies for you.. on the next pregnancy I´ll probably be looking back at this first bump wistfully saying..if only, if only (or even AFTER the second baby looking back at this bump saying if only!!)

But thank you for the lovely comments..

BTW meant to say thanks for the dealing-with-meconium advice.. I am going to try and use washable wipes at home anyway, it was really for hospital where all lists seem to say cottonwool but then some threads said that with water would never get it off will try the vaseline aswell..

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 11/03/2007 18:45

Welcome back GMM, glad you are ok.

Emmymummy, thanks for the tip re teatree shampoo. I will have to have a look in Boots. I think I am going to have to speak to Becky's preschool and see whether they can request everyone treat their children over a particular weekend, as it is pointless me keep doing Becky's hair if no-one else is bothering. It is so time consuming and expensive.

WO, good luck tomorrow. Has bean been moving around more? Thanks for the update re Dooby. Please send her our love when you are in touch again. You are a right pair aren't you!

Eca, I echo everyone else. Please take care of yourself and bean.

Octo, hope ds is behaving now. I hate having days like that.

Maveta, hope your mammoth lunch went well.

Hope everyone else is ok. We had a hectic day at the beach, and I ended up walking far too far and now feel done in. So hoping for a full nights' sleep tonight, as feel washed out.

Better head. Back later on. xx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 11/03/2007 18:50

Maveta, very neat indeed.

I look neat with clothes on and looking from the front, but the side view is not so pretty!

Hey ho.

Eddas · 11/03/2007 19:36

I might post my belly on here to scare Maveta, yours is tiny!!! Showed dh and we both agreed that it isn't a bump!!!! Mind you think mines all chocolate!!

Trip to dads was fine, step mother was very well behaved

WestCountryLass · 11/03/2007 20:38

Bit of a late update, the Earth did not move last night

I've been having 'regular' BHs all day but they are not getting any more frequent or painful. Still, it is all good as my body is doing all the right things

For those of you with EDD envy, my date was the beginning of April but moved to 28th March.

Maveta, your bump is so tiny, how many weeks are you? None of my bumps have been that small

Glad everything is OK WO and hope Dobbys baby stays put.

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 20:44

I look like have swallowed a basketball!

welcome back GMM - glad all is okay xoxoxox

dooby - any news?

sospl - just feel like a crap mummy today They were soooo good for dh yesterday and did really cool stuff together and then they get crap mummy who shouts at them (mainly ds1) all day. I think I need to be more tolerant and just let things go - but then what? they think its okay to do stuff and get confused the next time I tell them not to do it aarrggghhhhhhhh!

Ernie has been quiet today too - maybe he thinks I am shouting at him God I feel guilty! Talked to my sister about it and she don't give in, stand your ground!

Did those who went to the Baby Show buy anything exciting????? My friend has acquired some lilypadz and perenium massage gel and is bringing them back with her

Plymouth just been knocked out of FA cup - lost 1-0 to Watford - they played well and had loads of opportunities but just didn;t score. DH on way back now

Its been very quiet this weekend...

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 20:46

Thats not give in to the boys, not the baby LOL!

WCL - glad all is okay

WestCountryLass · 11/03/2007 21:52

Cheers Octo

We went curtain shopping today and I had a few pains wandering round the shops and people looked a bit concerned at times

oooggs · 11/03/2007 22:12

Sorry haven't been around - sleeping!!!!

Mammyjo - hope you are ok and now have my email address ready

[email protected]

and anyone else who hasn't got anything better to do

1B3 - I am now getting extremely pi**ed off witg the extra weight and not being able to do what I want especially with ds. I bet you can relate to that as your dd is even younger.

Take care all xx

Pesha · 11/03/2007 22:14

Just quick post as am totally shattered and already spent over an hour just catching up!

Maveta - baby lotion on cotton wool is very good at shifting more stuck on meconium and poo if water isnt doing it and more gentle than wipes still. My sister uses small squares of fleece as wipes with abit of some sort of fancy baby lotion on that smells lovely! Which it needs to as reusable nappies do tend to have a slightly more noticeable wee smell than disposables, nothing too bad though only really notice it when changing her.

Dooby hope all is ok

WO - hope it goes ok tomorrow at hospital

DD gets head lice loads although hasn't had any for a few months (touch wood), I found hedrin worked really well as long as you remember to treat again exactly 1 week later and no chemicals. Nitty gritty comb is SO much better than normal nit combs and available free (as its for the child) on prescription from dr, otherwise costs about £10 but still worth it. I spray her hair with detangling spray every morning anyway so have stuck a few drops tea tree oil in it as its meant to help prevent nits, not sure if it works though or not. Oh and i always tie her hair back.

Err was going to say something about hospital bags. Oh good idea whoever said about having bag packed already for dc, have to remember to do that.

Am feeling very bad mother after reading people worried about being parted from their dc, ive been looking forward to having a break from them!! Although saying that i probably will miss them when they're not around. In the evenings i cant wait for them to go to bed but once they've been there an hour or so i wanna go cuddle them! Well sometimes anyway, depending how tired i am!
When i was pg with ds i was admitted to hospital with tachycardia at around 33/34 weeks and spent bout 3 days there. My mum bought dd in (then aged 2 1/2 ish) and she didnt want to come and cudddle me, I knew it was cos i was in the hospital and it was scary and weird but it was so horrid and i just burst into tears. i think was the first time id cried in front of my mum since i was about 12! We went for a walk round the grounds and she was fine with me. And when she came in after id had ds she was fine too. Hope they both be ok this time, they should be as they know its coming and im sure dd wil be cos she understands it all and expect ds will follow her lead.

Dont know why i always say it just a quick post cos it never is!! Still so much more to say though!!

Pesha · 12/03/2007 09:31

Where is everyone?!?!

octopussyintummy · 12/03/2007 09:53

I'm here - although vowed would not log on today as spent hours chatting last night!

Must go clean the bathrooms ... Dh thought it might be a good idea!

Some good news about school - although maybe hearsay - a friend knows a governer and she said that they didn't allocate 26 places at all only 24 so there is space and that they didn;t receive 38 applications at all - anyone ever heard of an LEA induced labour?!

Have agreed to let dh out again next saturday for the rugby in Cardiff - god I am a good wife Maybe should have suggested he clean the bathrooms in return!

mammyjo · 12/03/2007 10:09

Morning everyone, hope you all slept well. I didnt but to be honest I never do at the moment.

Eddas, glad your MIL was ok yesterday.

WCL, really thought that maybe we would have had the first baby with you! Never mind, glad you are ok!

Oooggs, have just seen your email address so will mail you my mobile number in a bit just in case either of us do anything soon. (I wish). Glad you are ok too.

Octo, good news about the school, fingers crossed that you could bag one of those places. Good on you for letting your dh go to the rugby next Saturday. Its not that I am making my dh stay at home but I do find things so much easier when he is around to give me a hand with ds as I am so flippin tired all day every day now.

Hope everything goes ok with WO today and am waiting expectantly to hear about dooby too!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 10:13

Morning all. I am at work, so just popping in.

Pesha, thanks also for the advice re nits. We have used Hedrin, and it is good, but soooo messy! We can only really do it at the weekends as well. I just felt it was a lot of work considering B only goes and catches them back again a few days later! We have the nitty gritty comb and it is fab. I will try the tea tree oil tip, as we also have to use detangling spray in B's hair every morning.

Had a fab night last night. Was asleep by 10.00, only woke up once for a wee, B didn't wake up coughing/wet, and I slept until 7.00 and B until 7.30! And it is sunny, and 15 degrees already! Spring has sprung!

How is everyone else?

Octo, you are a good wife indeed! And I do think dh needs to clean the bathroom in return for your leniency! Mind you, don't think I would trust my dh to clean the bathrooms to my exacting standards!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/03/2007 10:14

x posted Mammyjo. Hope you are ok, albeit tired. xx

octopussyintummy · 12/03/2007 10:19

Have cleaned the bathrooms like dutiful wife - the downstairs toilet did smell like a public urinal - 3 boys and all that - although dh swears he never misses

Have put my sisters motherease nappies and wraps on the for sale boards if anyone interested.

Back sore - need tea
