eca - please try to sort something out - you're sounding really stressed. Can you talk to your co-worker, or cancel some things?
I'm working until April too, but am due a week after you, and am taking it very easy between now and then!

That sounded a bit unsympathetic, it wasn't meant to! I understand it must be hard if you've only just started working there.

Morning all - had lie in til 10.30 courtesy of dh - knows he needs lots of brownie points to go to football!

Maveta - have fun with all the family.

I have to confess being very envious of those due in 3 weeks I'm not feeling too bad at the moment apart from spd - my tummy isn;t as tight as last time so maybe this one won;t be so big

Am going to recycling, soft play and then we are planting cress in egg shells, early bath, tea then the footie! Early bed for little boys for school on monday - then need to tie 100 ribbons round the gift bags for mothers day pamper evening at playgroup next friday! So busy day ahead.

Have a great day everyone and someone please have a baby so we can get all clucky!

eca · 11/03/2007 11:15

Thanks for your concern katy. Hopefully dh is going to help me sort stuff, you're right thought that i need to take it a bit easier, esp as the work is so physically demanding (wandering round town for 4hrs per session looking for young people to chat to!)

I think I was doing ok until we started the antenatal classes and were having to travel 2hr round trip late at night. I've been sick all the way home both times and then the next couple of days.

The stress with the job is coz it's a new pilot project and nothing's really been worked out about sick leave etc and when I can't work, my co-worker can't work either because we have to work together for legal reasons. Very complicated!

now i'm thinking i should just go on early mat leave and enjoy the last few weeks of freedom before baby arrives!

Sorry to ramble, how are you this morning???

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 11:19

Octo, I wish I could oblige and provide a baby for you to be clucky over!! Send me some labour vibes and I will see what I can do!

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 11:22

eca - I would go on maternity leave - its really not worth the stress

(((LABOUR)))) vibes going towards Mammyjo

maveta · 11/03/2007 11:44

jumping on to say sorry you had a horrible night Eca.. I think you should seriously think about taking mat leave earlier. I am due 2 weeks after you and stopping work at the same time (end of march?), I´m already knackered and I don´t even have a physically demanding job..

do it do it do it

1becomes3 · 11/03/2007 12:08

Afternoon ladies, Dh is being extra nice to me today to make up for being such an arse recently.
thanks for all your kind words especially CD, it is so nice to know that I am not the only one with an unsympathetic DH.

Eca- you really should think of going on mat leave early it will only take off a month your leave, if work is making you ill, it can't be doing your baby any good either.
You don't want to be a complete exhasted mess before your little one comes, think of the extra time off as time to rest up and make sure you are ready and nice and relaxed for your new arrival.

Can I get some of those labour vibes? PLEASE!!!

Maveta-I remember the days of the flat size 6 stomach, before DD.
I think when the DT's are born I will do my profile and in the pictures have my before DD tum, pg with DD tum, after DD tum, then pg with DT's tum and then a picture of me in tears.

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 13:21

(((LABOUR)))) vibes going out again

weeonion · 11/03/2007 13:50

hey to all of you. sorry i havent been able to catch up with all your news. hope you are all ok - i gather tho' that we've had no births in the latter half of the week!

just wanted to let you know i have had a text from dooby from buddy - she was taken into hospital with pains last night, kept in, on injections for LO lungs. she is still there but ok. if i hear anything more - I'll be back to update.

as she said - what a pair of buddies we are!

someone mentionned GMM - also had a check in text from her - i think she is ok as well but not near a computer so often maybe???

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 13:57

dooby - good luck honey Kepp us updated WO.

Emmymummy · 11/03/2007 14:13

Ooooooh Dooby - does this mean you're having your baby??? Cluck cluck cluck....

Have been gardening all morning, sweeping, weeding and lugging heavy trugs around. Emily has had her friend Tom round to play so I've been left in peace. They're so funny together - have been playing drs so have been laying on top of the wall poking each other's tummies, and have been seeing how fast they can go down the slide by sitting on towels, and then making themselves dizzy by twisting the swing round and round. Love them! Am about to go back outside to tackle some more weeds and leave. Where is this energy coming from? Must be the lovely warm sunny day that is making me happy and full of beans!

SOSPL - have you tried Tea Tree shampoo & conditioner for nits? I have a friend who distributes the stuff for Australian Bodycare (little plug there)and their shampoo & cond kills treats the nits - we have used on Emily before and seems to work well. I think you can pick it up in Boots, not full of nasty chemicals and leaves the hair clean & fresh smelling.

Eca - you can't keep working if it's stressing you out honey. You've got to listen to your body and take it easy on yourself. If you don't take some time for yourself right now you will regret it later.

Maveta - please post a photo of your tummy now taken from the same angle so we can see how much you've grown. go on, pleeeeasseee.

Emmymummy · 11/03/2007 14:14

opps meant weeds and leaves. Although I might leave...

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 15:11

DS1 has been so hideous today - just not doing anything I ask him to - i.e. getting dressed, not jumpng on sofas, not kicking doors, eating lunch, not hitting ds2 - goes on and on really - anyway - got in car to go to soft play and he started making hideous screeching noises like they do - asked him 3 times to stop - then completely lost it - shouted so loudly at him had to stop car, turn around and came back . DS1 in room indefinitely but am having nice time with ds2. I don't feel guilty for shouting at him as he has been so horrible - just wish it didn;t get to this stage.

Someone remind me why I am having another one!

Looks like the labour vibes for dooby worked - maybe I have magic powers Could someone please send me some - after last few hours could do with a break in hospital!

eca · 11/03/2007 15:23

hi WO glad you are ok. Hope that dooby is! 1b3 obviously did a good job matching you pair up!

Octo - sorry ds1 is being such a pita. lol at you thinking 'why do i want another?' and then asking for labour vibes!
(not sure if that's too much of a contradiction!)

thanks for all the advice re:work. It's so helpful to have all your views. And great just have some understanding people to whinge at.

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 15:30

Ah because if I wasn't so pg and my spd wasn;t so bad would take them to the park/for a walk and run them into the ground!

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 15:42

WO, good to hear from you. Hope everything goes ok for you in the hospital tomorrow (it is tomorrow isnt it)? Thanks for the update on dooby, fingers crossed that everything is ok.

Octo, know where you are coming from. My ds is great most of the time but there are days when he just will not listen and it ends up with me yelling and him bursting into tears followed by me bursting into tears too! So frustrating sometimes, why cant they just listen the first time! Good job with your labour vibes for dooby! They havent worked on me yet though

Eca, dont know how you manage to stay on your feet for hours at a time. I have been on ML for a few weeks now. I can manage a quick trip to town to do the essentials. I may walk around for an hour but after that I am fit for nothing and come home to sit down. You deserve a medal. Listen to your own body, if its too much then really consider starting your leave. Ultimately you wont get any thanks for struggling to keep working. Hope you are feeling a bit better today.

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 15:46

Maveta, just had a nose at your picture. Bloody hell, I dont think my waist has been that small since I was about 10 years old!! Oh to be toned and slender

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 15:54

Have been to look at Mavetas tummy - hmmm - been a few years since that flat - def pre children and maybe between ds1 and 2 briefly - am not sure my tummy is ever going to return to normal without a bit of nip n tuck this time! i am looking forward to running again and am considering circuit training and pilates too. Not one for dieting - am normally a 10/12 anyway but doesn;t come with a flat tummy!

1becomes3 · 11/03/2007 16:11

Glad your ok WO, I told DH to post the video back to you on wednesday, have just been in his van and found it stashed away, the git.I will give it to my mum to post tomorrow as I think she may be the better bet.

I posted on the style part of MN for help with ideas for a haircut for me, I added a picture of me from 3 years ago so they could get an idea what type of crappy hair I have.
The nosey buggers have only been into my photobucket album and been posting about the picture of bump with foot.
I din't realise you could look at all people's photo's from the photo bucket link

I hope you can't get anyother personal information off there!

mammyjo · 11/03/2007 16:17

Surely your photo bucket album should be private. Dont you have to use a password to access it? Thats a bit dodgy.

1becomes3 · 11/03/2007 16:17

this

Can somone check that you can't get any personal information from that link, cause I can but may be it is beacuse it is my account.

weeonion · 11/03/2007 16:22

1B3 - i can see yr 5 pics on that link but no other personal info..

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 16:22

You can see the other photos - not sure if you can get any other info from it. did laugh at the OMG look at that foot comment! I sent it to a few friends when you first showed us and was mocked as apparently it is digital blah blah and not real - but have decided to ignore them - it is too cute to think it has been made in photoshop.

With the hair - I would keep it long and buy some nice hair things so can put it up out the way.
