Its weird how you can get 2 different extremes don't you think. I think "normal" is 70-80/110-120 ????

WestCountryLass · 09/03/2007 20:35

Mine is normally 110/80 or so.

It is odd how much it can vary

babysopiniontakesover · 09/03/2007 20:39

Like the smiley thats me all over right now, very confused.......

Emmymummy · 09/03/2007 20:44

Crikey WCL, no wonder you've been feeling weird - that's quite a drop in BP. (Not that I'm an expert in any way at all BTW).

WestCountryLass · 09/03/2007 20:58

LOL BOTO

The weird thing as well is that in pregnancy there is no reason for it as such. Bizarre!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 09/03/2007 20:59

Emmy, I am renting a TENS machine, but just through our local GP's. I think you can get them from Boots, although not sure what the cost is. I think they are great inventions!

Quite quiet on here tonight.

Good news about WO; thanks for the update Dooby.

Right, the sofa is beckoning - sitting at a table too long kills my back and ribs.

If I don't come back tonight, sleep well all and see you in the morning. xx

babysopiniontakesover · 09/03/2007 20:59

Cor its so much quieter on here than it used to be....I seem to remember it updating a few times every minute!

Maybe the time factor is starting to "kick in" a bit now!! Oh well thats me for tonight!!!

Emmymummy · 09/03/2007 21:04

Thanks SOSPL - think I had one from Boots last time.
Am off to bed too, night all.

Katy44 · 09/03/2007 21:07

I'm hoping to rent a TENS machine as well this site was mentioned on another thread, but not sure whether it'd be easier just to hire from boots.
Emmymummy - yes, we are hoping to find out the sex, as bump wouldn't let us know last time. Care to place your bet?
babysopinon - thanks for the description. Still not sure though For example, the baby has just wriggled, and I definitely know what that was. Sometimes I just get what feels like a stomach cramp (a bit like when you're constipated, TMI I know ) which doesn't really hurt but causes me to stop what I'm doing and wince.
OK, think I've convinced myself they're BHs!

I'M ON MATERNITY LEAVE!!!! Lovely last day at work thanks for all good wishes. Absolutely flat out all afternoon though so no time to even check MN. Those days are over!! Enjoyed all the virtual alcohol - feeling a bit sleepy now!

All fours cleaning the kitchen floor to bring on labour must have been invented by a man! Come to think of it, the other all fours idea to bring on labour mentioned by Runnyhabit was must also have been suggested by a man...... I think I'd go for option 2!

All the stuff I remember from what I've just read:

.... Yes, babies tend to be grey when they first come out - they "pink up" very quickly though. I remember thinking DS2 looked like a little alien.

My bp is always low and has been around 100/60 throughout pgcy.

Arnica for birth bag. What dose pills should you get again? Am making a proper list at last!

Glad WO is taking it easy, Dooby.

Katy44 · 09/03/2007 22:01

Congratulations on your last day BirdieBump!

Unfortunately because i get up around 7am during the week I can never lie in at the weekend, unless I've had a heavy night the night before - which hasn't been for about 8 months....sigh

flumppootle · 10/03/2007 08:00

4 wks and 3 days to go.....

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 10/03/2007 08:40

Morning all.

Birdie, glad you had a good last day - was it tearful, or did you hold it together!?
I finish at the end of next week, and just now I am going to be snotty, teary mess!

Had a rough night again. Becky suffers with croup, and last night she had a bad bout. Started at 10.30, so we sat in a steamy bathroom with her for a good half an hour, and dosed her up with medised. We have a humidifier, so stuck that on in her room, and headed to bed at about midnight. Woke a bit at 2.30 and then at 5.30 she came in as had wet the bed. Cleared all that up etc. and then she was back in our room at 6.30. JOY! I stayed in bed until 8.00 as dh got up, but I find once I have woken up, it is so hard to drop off again! Didn't help that one of the cats came up and was trampling all over the place! LOVE HIM!

So, feel like a zombie again today. Hey ho.

Hope everyone is feeling ok today. Sorry for my moan first thing.

Fortunately B is in a good mood as I thought she would be well ratty, so that is the good news!

Eddas · 10/03/2007 08:59

Morning, dd seems to be getting up earlier and earlier these days, it was 6.30 this morning. I know it's not that early but i am so crap without sleep. Time to install some blackout blinds!

Already cried today!! Got my race for life info through the door and it always sets me off

DD now watching Mary Poppins, again, at least i've got it over with early! It's nearly finished! Used to like it but now it get's played everyday(unless i can convince her not to) it's too much

DH taking her off out this afternoon so i'll get some peace, can't wait. Roll on 1pm when he'll be home!

Fianlly, packed my labour bag last night, well 3 bags, for labour, afterwards and dd's overnight bag. I know the bag'll get bigger the longer it is til i go in. Must add some more food and some water! Will have a look at the lists you've all made too i'm sure there's things i've forgotten!

Hope everyone's feeling ok today and has a lovely weekend

flumppootle · 10/03/2007 09:26

Sorry to hear about your bad night SOSPL can you have a rest today?

Well done on packing all of your bags eddas

Am I the only sad sack who packs one for their dh? I always pack him a bag of food/drink/treats/magazines/books camera etc???

Eddas · 10/03/2007 11:16

Flump, well done on packing bag for dh. Might be an idea for me to do him one too as bless him, he won't think about it!! Actually, just the food would do it

CaptainDippy · 10/03/2007 11:22

Morning - just popping in. DD1 reading with daddy and DD2 sleeping. Off swimming this afternoon, weather looking pretty grey. Mmmmmmmm......

Sorry you had a crappy night SOSPL - hoping you get better sleep tonight sweetie and lots of opportunity to rest today .....

Best go - need to go and finish de-bobbling my coat (how sad am I!!?)

Didn't use TENS with last two births, but thinking I may give it a go this time, esp as I am planning a homebirth .....

IsabellyMoi · 10/03/2007 11:38

Congrats on starting ML, Birdie!

MIABT - couldn't believe what happened to your birth notes from the first time! Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. Very sorry! I read that part out to DH and he couldn't believe it either.

Katy - I have the same trouble sometimes about baby movement vs. BH. Sometimes the baby feels like he/she is pushing hard against the top of my tummy...so I feel pressure and my tummy is hard but it isn't really uncomfortable. I think they might be mild BH. Don't know!

CD - glad you have having such a great time in Scotland.

SOSPL - sorry to hear of the rough nights with Becky. Sounds like once she is feeling totally well again, she'll be back to her dry nights. So hard to function when you are tired though! Hope today is good and you can get some rest.

Ange - definitely feel for you with the c-section date. I really hope they can adjust it or your LO decides to cooperate and come a little early.

Must go get some work done. Oh - thanks for sharing your hospital lists - my bag is more or less packed but you reminded me about face cloths. Still missing other key items but am either going to have to do without or switch to a much bigger bag to haul in!
