Mid-Late November due dates

AGnu · 13/03/2017 16:35

I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

Thanks @Mummyagainmaybe. DH wanted to take me to A&E last night but I told him I'd feel happier staying in bed and seeing how I felt in the morning.

I'll give NHS 111 a call and see what they say - I honestly thought this was par for the course and I was just not eating/drinking enough or did too much yesterday, but I'm happy to be corrected. Thanks for your concern, I'll update when I've spoken to them x

Foggymist · 15/04/2017 07:09

Fainting and being so weak is definitely not normal, here I'd be able to call the midwives department and ask advice, canI you do that or can you only contact/wait to hear from one specific midwife? Or contact out of hours emergency gp, or last resort of a&e.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 15/04/2017 07:25

Woke up my midwife (oops) who says it's normal, probably down to low blood pressure and that it will only get worse until I'm 20 weeks, but that I just have to take it slowly and wait it out

Foggymist · 15/04/2017 07:27

Did she even suggest getting your blood pressure checked, or was it low at any previous appointments?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 15/04/2017 07:32

It was low ish on Tuesday, 80/60 - but that's fairly normal for me and she wasn't concerned at the time - from what she said, most people she sees are quite high so it was a welcome change.

I guess I'll start eating lots of small salty meals and upping my water intake and see how I go. I'm off work until Wednesday so hopefully I'll get this sorted out. Thanks all

Foggymist · 15/04/2017 07:39

Purely for ridiculous comparison, when I was scheduled for c section with ds due to pre eclampsia my bp was 193/111 Grin

Hope you feel better soon. Take it easy, no sudden movements!

Zampa · 15/04/2017 07:46

Cuppa I'm not entirely convinced your midwife has given you the best advice. Appreciate (s)he's the expert but if it happens again, I'd be taking myself into the maternity triage dept.

DD was a crash section (7 weeks early) and I'm in two minds about an elcs or a vbac. It all depends on how this pregnancy goes.

Anyone on their third (or more) section this time around?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 15/04/2017 07:48

Thanks Foggy. And wow! Quite the contrast!!

I've told DH I need to lie in bed and eat Easter eggs all morning until I feel better, hopefully that'll do the trick

modelcat · 15/04/2017 07:56

Nice cuppa I do think getting your bp checked would be an idea. You shouldn't be fainting!

I'm bleeding more so phoned epu who are closed so I've been told to go to a&e. I don't feel very positive, I think my baby's gone :(

Foggymist · 15/04/2017 07:57

So sorry modelcat :( Hopefully you get answers soon at a&e.

tmc14 · 15/04/2017 08:01

Keeping everything crossed for you Modelcat xxx

lydiangel83 · 15/04/2017 08:01

Thinking of you all having a rough time and fingers crossed for you @modelcat @NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown xx

kimblesj · 15/04/2017 08:01

I will be on my fourth section this time round Zampa!

Cuppa, Low blood pressure can make you feel really out of sorts cuppa, make sure you get up really slowly and take your time over things so it doesn't drop massively in one go.

Modelcat I am spotting frequently too, seems to be related to having a bowel movement and midwife reassured me it's probably a sensitive cervix, now I see the pattern and midwife said it's fine, I'm more calm about it. What did they say about your spotting?

I am really starting to show now and my only symptoms remain being tired and occasional nausea. Now I have gdd I am just telling people that I'm diabetic and that's why I am a bit off, it's a fabulous divert as they were getting suspicious.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 15/04/2017 08:10

Really sorry @modelcat, I'll be thinking of you xxxx

My DPs have a blood pressure cuff as DF is a total hypochondriac, so I may borrow that to keep any eye on things.

butterybollocks · 15/04/2017 08:13

Cuppa hope you're OK. Do you have a home BP monitor you could use to keep an eye on it?

I had an elcs last time for breech presentation. It was a positive experience and I'll be requesting another section this time... Although I'll be asking for it to be booked for more than 2 days before my due date as my waters went 12 hours before the section was booked, and we had to dash into hospital. It was the queen's fault - the extra bank holiday for the jubilee meant planned sections were booked in a few days later than they otherwise would have been.

MrsGB2225 · 15/04/2017 08:29

Morning cuppa I have low blood pressure and have momentarily fell to the floor when getting out of bed/up from the sofa. But only for a split second though, never for a few minutes. Did you call 111?
I'm sorry modelcat about the bleeding, are you in your way to a&e? Hopefully this time of the day it won't be too busy.
I agree with mummy the pain relief from getting in the water was amazing, my whole body relaxed!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 15/04/2017 08:42

Midwife just called back and apologised for being a bit abrupt. She was on call last night so when I woke her she was expecting just to be given an address where someone was in labour - and I was expecting her answerphone.

I have a private scan booked for tomorrow morning anyway so will get them to check it's not an ectopic and that all looks normal. Midwife has now said to go to A&E if I feel any pains or anything 'funny', so I'm glad she didn't think I was being unreasonable to call.

I didn't call 111 in the end as I thought the midwife was the best bet.

modelcat · 15/04/2017 08:58

In a&e just now

modelcat · 15/04/2017 08:59

Been through this before, at 7 weeks last time. Really hoped I was on home stretch to 12 weeks this time.

Mummyosborne1983 · 15/04/2017 10:29

Are you okay modelcat?
Could you be anemic nicecuppa? Have you had your booking appointment bloods through to tell you? Xx

modelcat · 15/04/2017 11:03

Been sent home as no one in epu today. Going to have to pay for private scan

Topsyloulou · 15/04/2017 11:22

Sorry to hear that Modelcat. Have you tried calling the maternity helpline? Hope you get some positive answers.

Nice cuppa I have low blood pressure too & be careful not to get up too quick. DP has a low resting heart rate & again has to be careful about getting up. We didn't know until he had a similar episode to you but he ended up falling into the kitchen worktop face first, breaking his nose & knocking a tooth out in the process! Cue a 2am trip to A&E.

I'm similar to you Stuckinny, not decided on vbac or elcs yet but definitely don't want to be induced. Will probably opt for elcs as baby is bound to big again & the bigger the baby the higher the risk of scar rupture with vbac.

The maternity jeans are on & it's so much more comfortable.

Stuckinstressville · 15/04/2017 11:25

Saw epu for my follow up just now and am out. Only just getting to 6 weeks size wise and slowing down in growth so booked for erpc this week coming. Am gutted but better off knowing for sure. Weird.

Good luck ladies!

Mummyosborne1983 · 15/04/2017 11:31

I have everything crossed for you modelcat. Has the spotting stopped or got heavier?
In my experience as difficult as it is I would wait until Tuesday for epu as sometimes during early spotting they can't see anything so leaving it a little while will give a better idea of what is going to happen - hopefully it will be good news xx

Mummyosborne1983 · 15/04/2017 11:33

Topsyloulou - that's what I'm worried about a scar rupture but then again, so far, I haven't made a big baby!
If labour was guaranteed to be straight forward like with my first I'd opt for natural delivery but as it can't be guaranteed and the added risks of vbac I too may opt for an elcs x
