Raspberryinmelon - I would have a word with the physiotherapist and see if they run a hydrotherapy course that you can attend.

My physiotherapist gave me a few exercises to do (which tbh I've been a bit rubbish at remembering to do) but she basically said the hydrotherapy would be the best thing for me.

BouncingBlueberry · 17/03/2017 09:52

@jennymac hydrotherapy yesterday was amazing. Totally wiped me out though and I had a lot of pain last night in my problem area. I have woken up this morning with more movement than I had before the hydro and less pain. Got another session booked next week and I'd recommended it to anyone suffering from SPD/PGP. Baby seemed to enjoy the hydro too which was nice Smile

RasperryInAMelon · 17/03/2017 10:06

@1004Rise 3am this morning and I was googling '30 weeks pregnant hot and sweaty at night' 🙈

I was dripping last night, don't seem to suffer with being cold so much but crazy sweaty at night - I don't do PJs as it is, but am thinking I might get my fan out today and keep it on my side of the room...

@jennymac31 I'll ask on Monday in that case! Sounds like a good option - I hope it's something available here. Sounds like it worked wonders @BouncingBlueberry

Peas, How exciting, I love getting a new car!! What have you gone for? Do you need to go shopping for baby things? failing that, who needs an excuse to smell that lovely new car smell, just go for a family trip somewhere :)

Rise, Im constantly struggling to regulate my temperature these days. My poor DH is constantly getting woken up with me fidgeting the covers.

We've got our NHS birth and beyond class tomorrow, hoping that will help me with questions to ask the midwife in regards to birth plan! Other than a water birth and not wanting an epidural (ha!! I'm sure that will change!) I have no idea what to ask/include on it. Then its my birthday Sunday, so hoping for a nice relaxed day :)

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine today!!

vanilla8 · 17/03/2017 10:38

Thanks for the love for the rabbit everyone

@peasandquiet I take Omeprazole in the morning, doest wear off, only time it did was when I forgot to take it till the evening one day

1004Rise · 17/03/2017 10:44

Rasperry, bright at least I know it's not just me Blush I don't really do pjs etc in bed either but was considering trying them and just a sheet, if I can stop being too hot I think I'll stop being too cold.... one more joy of pregnancy Hmm

Bright DH & I wrote a list of what was important to us as a starter for 10 on a birth plan... things like skin to skin asap, as few drugs as possible, keeping mobile not in any coherent order but it started us thinking about it. Like you no idea what to put on it!! Confused

Peas oooo shiny new car!! Definitely needs an outing, probably a bit early in the year for an evening picnic somewhere Smile

MrsJW15 · 17/03/2017 11:31

Rise, Nurse I'm impressed with your swimming! I only ever seem to manage about half an hour. I'm going to go again today I think - if I can get out earlier I might have a bit longer to swim. Or maybe a quieter pool.

Hydrotherapy sounds amazing, I've got some physio session booked in, but would need them to refer me specifically. All these appointments take up so much work time!

We have a full weekend of NCT classes ahead. I'm a bit nervous about making friends (I feel like a child again!) and about having to think about birth, which I've happily been avoiding so far.

RasperryInAMelon · 17/03/2017 11:31

@Brightsmoke it's my birthday Sunday too! 🎂

OP posts:
Rustler74 · 17/03/2017 11:49

@Brightsmoke I'm with you on the water birth and not wanting an epidural.
As I've learned that I will be induced before my due date, nothing may come of it once I go into labour. Although I may well go into labour before (my sister never made it to her due date, closest was 10 days before) I'm still hoping that I don't need to undergo the induction.

@vanilla8 I love the rabbit! I had one just like that when I was little! It was very affectionate and cute!

1004Rise · 17/03/2017 11:51

I have a crisis.... no monster munch! ConfusedConfused Thought there was one left in the multipack bag and there wasn't SadSad

RasperryInAMelon · 17/03/2017 12:03

@1004Rise that's brutal! Who would put the empty bag back!?... 😳

OP posts:
Teaspoon74 · 17/03/2017 12:09

100Rise, Bright & Rasperry me too on the temperature fluctuation. Driving me mad!! Have to have the window open in the bedroom as get too hot, but then need quilt when the breeze comes in!!

Bouncing hydrotherapy sounds great - really glad it seems to have helped!

Peas exciting!! What have you got? We've just signed the finance for a new car too. An aintree green disco ;) my work team say it's a drug dealer car, but it's a massive step up from our little old mini and has isofix. Can't wait!!

Nurse great news on the pram!! Starting to feel more real as we get buts and pieces sorted, isn't it?!

I envy all of you your swimming! Haven't the energy at the moment despite the fact I know it will be nie on impossible to go once Bic is here! Anyone know when you can take baby swimming?

Dream I quite enjoy that surprise thing when people learn our news unexpectedly ;). Haven't donee any FB announcements and prob not gong to until she is here. Happy to just tell friends and family as and when.

Shini sympathies in the sickness. I still com most days - though seems to be lessening a little over last day or two. It's knackering isn't it?

Rasperry welcome home ;)

Cinnamon really hope your midwife can help. Sounds awful - especially the seeing stars bit!

Vanilla cute bunny! But how do you house train a rabbit?!?

Esmes Flowers

And thanks for the lovely comments about the nursery Bright, Esmes, Nurse, Claire & others. I've been champing at the bit to get it sorted - feels like a real milestone! The furniture is from Oak Furniture Land - one of their many "sales" ;) but we then found a further voucher code online for free delivery and 10% off. I love the sleighbed style we saw in a few other places, but we really wanted soft close drawers for when baby's in there sleeping and very few major retailers have nursery furniture that has soft close, weirdly.

Nurse where abouts are you? In SELondon we have a FB group called a mummy's Gin Fund which kiss stuff for sale and a nursing chair and stool from mothercare went on for £40 yesterday...

Teaspoon74 · 17/03/2017 12:15

MrsJW I've been feeling the same about making friends at NCT. I know it's daft, but it brings back all those insecurities from school! Probably compounded by the fact a good local mate had a MC not long after we discovered I was pregnant and she's really struggled, I think, to deal with that and my pregnancy. To the extent that I've not seen/heard from her for months. And any approach from me has been rebuffed. Head understands she needs to work through stuff. Heart/ baby hormones feel like I've been dumped and someone who could have been a real support (similar age, 2yo so has been through a lot of learning etc) has now vanished.

Rise is it your OH? I discovered mine has been sneaking packs when I'm not looking!!!

1004Rise · 17/03/2017 12:20

Rasperry only myself to blame, (DH knows better than to touch) I don't take the multipack out the cupboard only packs out the multipack iyswim SadSad

Tea we were looking at swimming with baby, apparently you can go almost right away... it's us that have to wait for obvious reasons. However you need to go to a warm pool... I put my energy in the swimming pool partly down to the fact it's too cold if you don't keep moving!

nursebickypegs · 17/03/2017 12:41

@Teaspoon74 I'm up in Nottingham! I'm bidding on them endlessly, fingers crossed I'm winning so far on one in Doncaster.

I'm planning on take Bub swimming at 6 weeks! There are aqua baby classes here, but I'm not allowed to sign up until he's born and then it's a long wait. So I'll sign him up, but take him myself in the meantime while we wait. I can't wait to take him, swimming is my "safe haven" and I just switch off. The pool here is closed until 5 today, so I'm itching to go!

This is our buggy, it's a Kinder Kraft Moov. It's really smooth to "drive" but all the instructions are in Dutch Confused Wonderful...

savagehk · 17/03/2017 12:42

yep, you can swim with the baby from as soon as you feel able, the old 'wait until the vaccinations' advice isn't used anymore. Pool does need to be warm though, if it's not in the 30's you may want to consider a baby-warmer.

jennymac31 · 17/03/2017 13:02

Afternoon ladies

Just had a slight case of the wobbles. Went for a walk to the shops just for some fresh air and saw the cutest little girl pulling her little wooden toy doggy on the road. Had to use all of my might not to burst into tears.
I went for the walk to clear my head, as I wasn't having a very productive working from home day. Have now come back home and really cannot be bothered to do anything else! Will have some lunch and hope it kick start my arse into gear!

Not sure hubby's gonna be happy with me though. After specifically telling me not to buy anymore baby boy clothes (not that he has much at the moment anyway) I came home with 4 cute but smart shirts for him. We've got 2 weddings to go to this summer and he will no doubt have an accident or two so they will come in handy. Just need to find some nice trousers to go with the shirts.

Teaspoon74 · 17/03/2017 13:15

Jenny Monsoon have a good sale on at the moment and some v cute smart boys clothes!!

Savage, Nurse, Rise thanks for the baby swimming tips! Can't wait to get her into the pool ;)

vanilla8 · 17/03/2017 13:23

@Teaspoon74 rabbits are easy to litter train, just stick in one room at the start and return their poo to the litter tray! He is nearly 9 now and just runs back into his house to go to the loo.He loves biting cables though, can't train them out of that! have to give them lots of other things to keep them occupied like cardboard boxes!

Im very impressed with those swimming 40 lengths or spending nearly an hour in the pool.
We have booked a babymoon trip to Bournemouth next weekend and I plan on relaxing in the pool then, however I have just learned the spa does not do pregnancy massageSadSad

FoxMulder · 17/03/2017 13:25

For anyone wondering about co-sleeping positions - there is an image gallery on the Infant Sleep Information Source - which is one of the go-tos on safe sleeping info, they just have an unfortunate acronym! www.isisonline.org.uk/image-archive/

The problem with swimming with babies is that you don't really get to swim yourself because you're just bobbing around holding them! Not much better with a toddler because you still have to stay in arms reach, so you can't go off doing lengths Grin.

My gym ball is huge! You can only just squeeze it through a doorway. I read that your hips should be just higher than your knees, and I'm pretty tall.

ClaireSunflower · 17/03/2017 13:28

We've just bought a car too! Peas and teaspoon. We've gone for a seat Ibiza. I've not driven for 6 years so might need a few a lot of refresher lessons!

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 17/03/2017 13:45

So, about 3 more hours of work to go before a weekend of dismantling our beloved hobby room (3rd bedroom upstairs), rebuilding in conservatory and turning 3rd bedroom into nursery... Here is a before pic (which seems to want to lie sideways)

nursebickypegs · 17/03/2017 13:57

@jennymac31 I'm declaring this week "wobble week". I keep bursting into tears for no reason, and being terrified of not being good enough.

Also I've declared the house to be unfit for a baby, so I'm scrubbing everywhere and buying a steam mop. Cleaning this is the only logical explanation.

nursebickypegs · 17/03/2017 13:57

*clearly

1004Rise · 17/03/2017 14:00

Jenny I've been having one of those non productive days too Blush I have 5 things on my todo list that would take about 10 minutes each and I just can't be bothered, I've resorted to toasted cheese, chocolate and mini pickled cucumbers Hmm
