slight change from the one i had planned but figured we'll only truly be hard-boiled once we're overdue!

My last birth was pretty non-eventful as had epidural so had a sleep and watched daytime tv! Was crap at pushing and then had episiotomy and ventouse which dh described as blood bath and gruesome - I really do think it scarred him!

Oooohhhhhh how your baby grows at 31 weeks - how exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!! and tears and epis - god I love birth tv!

Emmymummy · 01/03/2007 20:31

Nope, have now turned it over. Don't want to know. la la la

flumppootle · 01/03/2007 20:31

My last one was nearly born in the car

Emmymummy · 01/03/2007 20:32

Eddas, can I join you in your happy place?

Katy44 · 01/03/2007 20:32

Hello everyone
Is this what it'll be like now lots of you are on ML? One new thread every day? Take pity on the ones of us who can't access MN from work

I'm really irritated tonight. Our NCT classes were on, then off, then on then off again. A breastfeeding seminar they organised was cancelled. Was meant to be at my first NHS class tonight, but after driving round for 20 minutes trying to find the place we eventually found a note on the door saying it was cancelled. I called yesterday to check it was still on!!!
Even worse, I'm not 100% sure we DID find the right placem as the note referred to the 'baby group' - surely ours is a bump group?? But we were so miserable by then we just wanted to come home.

Consoling myself with a huge glass of red wine! Tesco Fre (alcohol free) and it's actually not that bad, you do get the red wine smell, if you know what I mean.

Katy44 · 01/03/2007 20:33

In between all the selfish wingeing, I did mean to say thanks for sorting out the emails Ellie, it's nice to have some contact with everyone. Also, hope you are sorting things out with S?

flumppootle · 01/03/2007 20:34

Evening Katy, what a nightmare with your classes
Your wine sounds lovely must look out for that

Eddas · 01/03/2007 20:37

Emmymummy, you'd be very welcome, please bring chocolate. Would love a vodka and coke too, it's been about 8 months since the last one, but only a few more weeks and i can have loads

octopussyintummy · 01/03/2007 20:37

Katy44 - sorry to hear about your classes.

Flumpootle - were you on your way to hosp?

Katy44 · 01/03/2007 20:37

Well it tastes like fruit juice so don't get too hopeful. But you get the smell and the look.

Emmymummy · 01/03/2007 20:37

Katy - I'm not on ML yet either - am planning to keep going as long as possible. Although I can get MN at work, I try to refrain as I'd never get anything done....

Katy44 · 01/03/2007 20:38

flumppootle, hospital? Have I missed something?

flumppootle · 01/03/2007 20:38

Yes. The hospital is 20-30 mins from the house and the labour was under an hour.
Had my feet up on the dash board

Emmymummy · 01/03/2007 20:39

Eddas, have a large bar of Galaxy hidden upstairs - will bring that along

flumppootle · 01/03/2007 20:39

Oh no Katy this was the last one - ROLF

WestCountryLass · 01/03/2007 20:39

DH intermittantly video'ed the birth of my DS up til I was 8cm and then DS as soon as he came out and was wrapped up on the baby toaster thing (resusitaire sp?) but not him actually coming out.

Katy44 · 01/03/2007 20:40

Emmymummy - MN is blocked by our IT policy. I am so glad as I can easily waste whole days at home - imagine the guilt if I did that at work too! The quick check for new messages in the morning would turn into a marathon reading / posting day!
On the upside, I might see more of DH on the night if I got my MNing out of the way during the day!
