Thanks everyone!! Really looking forward to it!

Shini I have tickets for 19th April when ill be 36 weeks - can't fly from NI past 36 weeks so will be passing them onto someone who can use them if they're any use to you? Not sure when you're due! We managed to get tickets last Friday for this Sunday which was super lucky!!

Tickyboovicki · 31/01/2017 13:24

Very jealous of everyone who managed to get tickets for HP, we've never had any luck! Have an amazing time ladies Grin

teainbed · 31/01/2017 13:25

Oh you'll love The Cursed Child! I saw it back in August when I wasn't pregnant yet and loved it! I also loved the Kir Royale's at the intervals which I guess you won't be indulging in. Grin

The seats and leg room were mega neat though and I'm not a big person so hope you aren't too uncomfortable if you're going to be very pregnant when you see it. The only other thing is the queuing to get in and bag searches take a while so you'll be on your feet then for a bit.

Brightsmoke · 31/01/2017 13:31

Nurse, Im very jealous about your weekend! If it wasn't 2 weeks before my EDD, I would be biting your hand off for the tickets!! Have a fab weekend

Spam88 · 31/01/2017 13:41

We tracked down a car seat base! Such a bloody relief. Feel a bit silly for all the tears on Sunday now but I'll just blame hormones Blush

Sounds like a great weekend nurse 😁 we did the studios last year and it was amazing! Well I thought so anyway, and my husband was a good sport lol (he also tolerated watching all 8 films in 2 days before we went because he hadn't seen them and I said he had to, I've definitely got a good one).

We're going to Cornwall for a week in Feb although im hoping everyone will just leave me to sit in the house for the entire week because I have no interest in (am incapable of) walking into the town...

Autumnsweater · 31/01/2017 13:50

Lucie I understand your quandry, it's difficult isn't it to balance the two especially when when our babies will arrive/how we or they will be - so many unknowns!

Sonnet18 · 31/01/2017 14:26

lucie it's pretty much the same course as last time- so it'll be one day and then mostly home study. I'm working towards my masters in education (to boost my pay, no other reason really!) I had to do a slightly more intensive course when DD was 4 months- that was a complete nightmare as she was much more demanding and I found it really tricky to balance things. However, a newborn (in my experience, everyone is different) is a breeze compared to a slightly older baby so the course should be ok for me. DD will be 16 months and goes to nursery so I should manage.
What is your course in? I would say go for it but drop out immediately if it interferes with life too much!

MrsJW15 · 31/01/2017 15:30

We are going away on Saturday for a week combining sight-seeing and relaxing. I'm looking forward to some time away from work and together, but will aim not to spend the whole week talking about the baby!

RasperryInAMelon · 31/01/2017 15:35

We're heading off to Barcelona for 5 days mid March, flying out to meet DH there for my birthday which will be nice, although tied with the PGP - I'm not looking forward to the flight Sad

Just spotted The Nappy Lady does hire kits of reusable nappies: www.thenappylady.co.uk/nappy-hire-kits.html

Sipperskipper · 31/01/2017 17:08

No plans for a trip, but tempted to go away somewhere for a couple of nights with DH & the dog for some nice walks & pub lunches.

Have just booked up for a local hypnobirthing course - 2 x 5hr sessions. Really looking forward to it!

MrsJW15 · 31/01/2017 17:46

I've found a hypnobirthing session near us that is 1 x 4 hours. It would also be six/seven weeks for due date. I wonder if that's enough and too late? Quite keen to get a book/CDs and also do a short course and hope that has me covered!

ginandcake · 31/01/2017 17:46

Going to centre parks in March for the first week of maternity leave with the PILs and DDs but other than that nothing booked. Trying to persuade DH to take me away for a night some where for my birthday!

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 31/01/2017 19:02

Another one going to centre parcs here. Perfect for my 16 month old DD who loves the water. We are going there in march.

We also have a week in Wales next week which im really looking forward to. Time away from work will be very much appreciated. :)

savagehk · 31/01/2017 19:06

mrsjw only issue with doing more than one type is they may use different techniques and terminology. I'd be tempted to do the one, then ask them for cd/dvd recommendations that are compatible. My course is 30w and 32w (both Saturdays)

growcookeat · 31/01/2017 19:15

Nurse HP is sooo good! We saw the previews in July and I've only just stopped raving about it!

Lucie we've booked a long weekend in Edinburgh during half term as a last getaway. Would've liked longer but DH can't take any more time in Feb as has a big launch on at work and I'm tied to school hols. Staying in a posh hotel though and booked spa treatments so hopefully will be nice and relaxed when we come back!

Just won an auction on eBay for a baby bouncer. Got it for £12 - bargain!

lucieloos · 31/01/2017 19:51

Grow, that sounds fab! We have a week booked off at the end of March and we want to go somewhere but can't decide where.

stationaryace · 31/01/2017 21:04

DH is taking a week off mid-march so we're doing day trips and a possible overnight north of the cairngorms with 2 yr old DD. Now we just have to convince her that you can go on holiday without the airplane - thanks Peppa Hmm

I keep underestimating the size of my bump and have switched off my touch-button hob too many times today. Clearly I'm bigger than I feel!

Autumnsweater · 31/01/2017 21:06

sonnet that's really helpful to hear of you doing that, makes me feel it is possible for me! I'm doing the equivalent of a masters. Obviously each baby/birth is different.

teainbed · 31/01/2017 21:13

Going to London at half term but nothing else planned. Think the DC Easter holidays could be lots of day trips places! Hopefully Granny and Grandad will help out a bit. Grin

Tickyboovicki · 31/01/2017 21:15

Just venting but really struggling today. Went to view a house that we loved but have a feeling it will be gone by the time someone puts an offer on ours. My other half has been struggling with a very busy time at work etc and so he's been feeling really stressed out recently.
Just feel like it's all a bit much at the minute! Feeling so emotional and overwhelmed, and spent most of this evening in tears. Just not entirely sure what to do to help myself, work is as stressful as ever and feel a little like it's all piling up and I am getting buried by it all!

MissMooMoo · 31/01/2017 21:29

We are off at the end of march for a 5 day break providing the midwife says its OK to go away then.
I want some clarity on my low placenta before we book anything, although I have booked the days off work :)

lucieloos · 31/01/2017 21:31

I'm feeling really short of breath today even when I'm sat down just like I can't get enough in there it's really uncomfortable. Is this normal?

Sah1987 · 31/01/2017 21:47

Lucieloos. I've just got home from the hospital after waiting since 3pm because I was short of breath and had a panic attack at work. I finally got seen at 9pm - they've given me a blood thinner and I'm booked in for a chest and leg scan tomorrow because they think it's a blood clot. So if you're not sure get it checked. As I didn't last time and now wish I had x

peasandquiet · 31/01/2017 21:51

Oh ticky, hope a good nights sleep helps you feel better. Can't imagine trying to house hunt while all your instincts are telling you to nest, can imagine very hard on you emotionally. Work wise, remember you and baby come first, if your stressed slow down don't get worked up they don't pay you any extra to feel this stressed out.
I'm also having a rough old ride with my emotions, just trying to stay on top of it and see the positives as much as I can.
So jealous of nurse's Harry Potter weekend. I'd love to do the studio and the play, unfortunately haven't beeen able to prioritise the time and money to actually get ourselves organised enough to do either.
No holiday for us, husband is best man at a wedding in April and that's far away so will be a couple of nights in a hotel.
