Oh, I didn't even think about finding a cream egg! I'm a little jealous now...
I did buy a custard slice - but I haven't eaten that and I'm not sure if I should try and at least keep it until tomorrow! Cake

Raspberry they are sort of blue and grey, no yellow:

Adventure can they test to see the baby's blood type? I am rhesus negative and so they tested the baby's blood too (somehow from the same blood sample from me.... don't understand how) so we know the baby is negative too. I think it's automatic here to test the baby if the mum is negative **

Autumnsweater · 26/01/2017 19:36

Thanks for asking badger

My back is better after walking around, having a bath and a massage from DH, but it's not back to normal. Heard a distinct crunch when I bent down today Confused.

I hope this isn't it now for the rest of pregnancy.

Does anyone have a maternity support belt?

1004Rise · 26/01/2017 19:44

Esme I know! I was working it out, she signed up for the race in July when she would have been about 6mths pregnant. I like my biking but the thought of committing to that now feels insane to me..... nothing like having something to lose your baby weight for!! HmmSmile

PeachIcedT · 26/01/2017 19:45

I got one last weeks rom a midwife Autumn but haven't used it much, I think with a weighty bump it will help a lot though.

Rest up and speedy recovery to all those feeling poorly at the moment.

I'm being a bit irrational now that bump is feeling tighter, my belly button has got really shallow and I'm scared of getting an outie! I always find it sensitive anyway and it just looks so uncomfortable once it has popped, does anyone know how uncomfortable it is in reality?

CinnamonTwist · 26/01/2017 19:48

Peach mine has popped, it's not uncomfortable, but it can get a bit sore if I wear something that rubs it, as the skin is quite delicate.

Adventuregame · 26/01/2017 20:02

I'll have to investigate DH blood type. Wonder if my harmony test showed anything connected to baby blood type ?
Raspberry it wasn't me in embankment - I'm in Wales this weekend !

yellowismyfavourite · 26/01/2017 20:05

Anyone else getting really itchy... I can't stop scratching tonight across my bump and around to my back and under my bra... think its in my head but it's driving me crazy!

savagehk · 26/01/2017 20:11

adventure it's standard not to test the father (I believe because some people don't know / won't say who father is!), but if it were me I'd be angling for that, rather than have unnecessary anti-D shots.

Yellow that's interesting - I don't think they can/do that in the UK yet, although I had heard there was a new test they were trialing somewhere to get baby's blood type that might make the anti-D unnecessary.

yellowismyfavourite · 26/01/2017 20:20

savage we must be part of the trial as I am in Exeter... I had to have 1 anti d injection at 15 weeks after some bleeding as the test results hadn't come back... glad I don't have to have another one!

Adventuregame · 26/01/2017 20:29

I paid privately for harmony test but never even thought to ask if they can tell blood type from it. Will check the notes !

ginandcake · 26/01/2017 20:39

Wish they did that here yellow, I hate the injections, especially as I already know that DH is positive (DD1 was positive so he must be).

To whoever asked I have a bump belt, a friend leant me hers as I've been getting a lot of back pain and it has really helped. A large tubigrip bandage has also helped.

For anyone who already has DCs have you made plans for them during the labour/hospital stay? Still 14 weeks to go but it is really stressing me out!

peasandquiet · 26/01/2017 21:04

Evening all, I'm having a really meh couple of days. I'm sleeping badly and my husband is away, bloody knackered! Wish I could have a G&T and a couple of ibruprofen to ease all the aches and pains.
Need to get a support belt off to research this now, is there a particular one I should look at?
Gin I'm v lucky to have family in the village so they will be on call once we reach may.

Autumnsweater · 26/01/2017 21:05

Thanks peach and gin I'll ask about a bump belt at my physio appointment then.

Gin you have also reminded me that I will have to sort out something for the dogs (and cat, if it's a lengthy one) for my birth Grin.

EsmesBees · 26/01/2017 21:11

I've just got the JoJo bump support belt. It's made a real difference.

Gin yes my sister is going to have DD when I go in to labour. She only lives round the corner so it makes sense. I'm not sure how it will work if she has to take a day off at short notice, but her work seem pretty flexible so hope it will be ok.

My midwife said in the future the new non invasive tests will include the baby's blood type. The injections don't bother me but could do without the two extra hospital appointments.

ginandcake · 26/01/2017 21:18

And what happens if things kick off in the middle of the night. Would you wake DD up and take her to your sister or would your sister come to yours? My PILs only live 10 mins away but they're not being massively forth coming about helping, we're not really flavour of the month at the moment!

savagehk · 26/01/2017 21:31

We have an au Pair so that's easy. If I home birth I'd leave ds sleeping if it was night. If there wasn't an au pair I'd consider popping him in front of a movie (or several!!)

EsmesBees · 26/01/2017 21:42

My sis would come here and probably try and get back to sleep in the spare room gin. DD would probably be a bit confused in the morning but is generally pretty amenable if there is a cup of milk on offer. Hopefully your PIL will step up before the time comes.

astormgivenflesh · 26/01/2017 21:43

Hi all!
I'm due May 27th, bump is getting big and I'm sure I can feel her moving around now.

Found out it's a girl! Struggling to pick names, can't agree on any which is doing my head in!

My mum keeps buying anything and everything for her, we have a random assortment of car seats, a cot, a travel cot, vibrating rocker, clothes and hundreds of nappies! Husband wanted to buy all of these bits together but we don't want to be ungrateful even though most of it isn't really what we would have chosen Confused

This is my first baby so every twinge and cramp is terrifying but I'm trying to stay calm!

mrscrocopop · 26/01/2017 21:47

Hiya storm! My mum has also started going crazy with baby clothes, I haven't the heart to say most of it isn't to my taste!!! 😝 I'm pretty sure it'll all get used anyway! It's nice they want to be involved.

ginandcake · 26/01/2017 21:53

Fingers crossed they do Esme, I think they'll agree to have them but probably want us to take them there regardless of what time it is. Not liking the idea of being in labour and poor DH having to wrestle two sleeping/grumpy kids in the car. I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

Storm my mum is still buying like crazy 4 years after DD1 arrived!

astormgivenflesh · 26/01/2017 22:00

The second we knew it was a girl, the pink stuff started! Husband and I don't want her to be decked out in pink floral stuff so have tried asking for bright colours, stripes, neutral bits - like talking to a brick wall with my mum! 'Girls need pink' is her response Shock

1004Rise · 26/01/2017 22:14

Storm I got one bit of advice that I think helps when people buy you stuff you wouldn't pick yourself.... take everything because at some point it will be the only clean thing in the house!! Grin

ShiniBerry · 26/01/2017 22:18

Autumn I was given a support belt, it's got a kind of pouch for the bump and two long straps that go around your hips and back (like an apron) and come back in front to fix under bump with Velcro. My bump is getting pretty heavy so I wear it almost every day for work or on days I know I have to be on my feet. It's really helped a lot to reduce lower back pain.
