Hello.... can I join? 😊 Date from lmp gives me a due date of oct 14th which is almost my birthday! This will be number 2, we have 1 5 year old boy who will be very excited when we do tell him!

MrsCharlieD · 09/02/2017 20:20

@tippety we're trying to night wean off bottles and we're making some progress. Last night he slept through, albeit in my bed and tonight he's asleep with me now and I'll transfer him later. We want to cosleep with the new one so this next week months we're going to to do some gentle sleep training. Mainly just starting with returning him to his bed when he wakes instead of letting him get in with us. There's also the no cry sleep method which I have a copy of and I might try that as well.

MrsCharlieD · 09/02/2017 20:27

I am also bloody freezing all the time. We've had the heating on 25 degrees tonight and I was still sat jn my dressing gown.

No exercise here either unfortunately. I have zero inclination.

10storeylovesong · 09/02/2017 20:27

Wow, I've been away for a few days and the thread has moved along so quickly!!

I'm 6+1 today. I'm constantly cold and my constant nausea which I've had for about 4-5 days turned into vomiting last night. It was my ds 4th birthday today and I forgot how hard it was being happy and jolly while feeling so rotten and not being able to tell people!

10storeylovesong · 09/02/2017 20:28

I've still not contacted our midwives for a booking in apt, I suppose I should bite the bullet and ring soon...

Cath1212 · 09/02/2017 20:32

@MrsCharlieD
Freezing here too, heating on full blast and the gas fire Blush

tammie49 · 09/02/2017 21:09

All fine here except for being unbelievably tired. My 14 month old is cutting 6 teeth though which might explain that!

puttingourhoodupdown · 09/02/2017 22:26

I'm cheating though really as I'm due 21 sept but DD was late and everyone in the September thread seems sooo far ahead!!!

puttingourhoodupdown · 09/02/2017 22:29

I'm also freezing and tired And I cannot get rid of my dry lips, driving me mental! Boobs are sore, feel queasy most of the day and sense of smell makes me feel sick!!! Whinge whinge whinge!!

DancingUnicorn · 09/02/2017 22:45

Finally feeling the cold everyone is talking about. Also managed to do more walking today not at all because the road was closed on my bus route home so had to get off! I'm also exhausted, but the whole being awake at 3am probably has something to do with that!

Sorry you're not feeling great putting.

powerpuffer · 10/02/2017 00:37

I am usually the coldest person in the office. You know, the one in multiple layers and with a hot water bottle in June? Well not now. I'm actually a reasonable temperature! Not sure how that works when you guys are all so cold, but hey, saves on the heating bill!

Mulberry2627 · 10/02/2017 07:32

Wow I haven't been on for a couple of days and this thread has grown so much!! Congrats everyone getting BFP's!!

Seems everyone is feeling rubbish now, when does it start to get better?!

Sickness has well and truly kicked in for me. Wakes me up in the morning (I'm up at 5:30 anyway, but it thinks 4 is a good time to get me up now) and I start being sick, I'm sick after my shower, during breakfast (usually just a glass of water is all I can manage) and then before I leave for work. I'm then sick at work! Yesterday I had to run out of teaching 3 times in one hour and on my last trip I got caught and sent home because they thought I had the sickness bug going round. Called my year leader who knows and she said to stay home today and just come back after the holidays. So glad for half term, I can't cope with the all day sickness!! It's only easing around dinner time. Any suggestions??!! Ginger biscuits aren't working!

7 weeks tomorrow 😍 and got my booking in appointment next Wednesday. Does anyone know what happens at them? Do I need to take anything/prepare anything?

DancingUnicorn · 10/02/2017 07:42

Oh mulberry that sounds awful!! Are you able to eat at all?? If it's that bad, maybe ring midwife for some advice? Hope it eases off for you soon!

Emberblu · 10/02/2017 07:57

Ergh well last night was fun! Woke up at 2am with bad bad cramps, came down stairs to make a hot water bottle but ran back upstairs as I thought I was going to throw up. Lay on the bathroom floor for a little while in that shakey sweaty state that comes before you vomit... then it eased off, I finished my hot water bottle and lay on the sofa til I felt less dizzy then went back to bed. Still cramping a bit this morning and drinking lemon ginger tea but now I also have a stomach ache that makes me (sorry) really want to pass a lot of wind but there isn't much there to pass (sorry Blush). Although reading about some of your sickness stories I know I should be thankful but this cramping has me anxious Confused and I know DH is worrying too bless him.
I hope those of you with bad symptoms find 'cures' /they ease off soon Smile

Emberblu · 10/02/2017 08:01

Mulberry if it's that awful you should go to the doctors! You need to be able to keep something down, for both of you! They can give you tablets that might help I think. Hope you feel a bit better today Flowers

TinySalmon · 10/02/2017 08:37

Mulberry I second what ember said about going to get some anti-sickness meds from your GP. I found sea sickness bands that go on your wrists helpful too - you can get them in Boots.

I was vomiting everyday first time around and well beyond the 12 week mark. I was vomiting so much I started vomiting blood and the GP said I had started to irritate my oesophagus so much that it was shedding blood! I wasn't working though so could curl up in a ball and sleep most days, don't know how you will manage it working full time.

Mulberry2627 · 10/02/2017 09:25

Thanks everyone, will see how I get on this weekend and maybe call the doctors on Monday if it doesn't improve. So thankful I'm not in work today, have again spent most of the morning in the bathroom but just bringing up foam and acid now (sorry that sounds so gross!). I'm sipping water but haven't tried eating yet and all I can think about is a pub lunch 😂. Thank you for your advice!!

Nimisha · 10/02/2017 09:56

Mulberry that sounds awful. I hope you have a sympathetic GP. If you struggle there are NICE guidelines on the internet which are worth a read and might prompt them to prescribe.

My nausea is getting worse, but it's just waves, although I couldn't eat breakfast this morning.

Ginger never works for me but sucking sugar free mints helps.

1 week until my repeat scan. It feels ages away. And I feel pregnant, which is depressing. In my heart I know it will be bad news so mentally preparing myself. I'm sorry to be depressing on the thread I do feel better writing about it.

Ember, I hope you feel better, could it be a tummy bug? I know I got bad cramps at night in my first pregnancy early on, I went to the GP and was reassured all normal. They didn't last too long, a week or two maybe.

NotMyPenguin · 10/02/2017 10:30

nimisha, thinking of you as you wait for your repeat scan. It's so nerve wracking.

I'm 7+2 today and about to go for a private viability scan this afternoon. I'm a bit nervous too. A friend and his wife just had a scan at 10 weeks and found out it was a missed miscarriage, so I'm very conscious that it can happen.

DP is still worried about my having another baby but has reassured me that his finances can take it (he doesn't live with us, but contributes financially). He said it doesn't seem real yet, and he's worried about whether I'll cope, but he's also happy.

And I have strict orders from DSis, who's a medical doctor, to lose weight! Not sure how I'll do that while carb-loading to fend off the morning sickness!

conkerchops · 10/02/2017 11:04

Thinking of you nimisha.

Mulberry you should definitely go to the gp and get some anti sickness meds - I had them when pregnant with my ds and they were a lifesaver.

Queasiness has kicked in for me in the last couple of days which wasn't brilliant this am when I was on my sons trip to the village church to learn about 'why do we pray' and stuck at the back away from the bathroom! Luckily didn't have to rush past a whole room full of 7 and 8 year olds and the local minister but was touch and go!!

Oh and here it is snowing so now super freezing!

wapsmahoney · 10/02/2017 11:54

Starfish83 Im glad there are finally some of representing the West Country ... at one point I think most people were all London based!

Nimisha Thinking of you today and sending you all the hugs and good luck baby dust.

Finally hit 6 weeks today ... although it still feels like time is going backwards! Im sat at my desk at work feeling like a zombie not being able to concentrate .... and im still freezing!

Nimisha · 10/02/2017 12:08

Fingers crossed for you penguin. I hope it goes well and you get to see your bean with a strong heart beat.

Its snowing here too Concer

ALRM · 10/02/2017 12:10

Hi all,

Joining in if that's ok? Due date of 15th Oct for my first. Very excitied but very nervous, think it's going to feel am AGE until my 12 wk scan after which I feel I may be able to breathe!

Cath1212 · 10/02/2017 12:22

good luck with your scans ladies

@ALRM welcome - it is my first time too - eek!!

ALRM · 10/02/2017 12:39

Thanks cath1212, it's all a bit odd but exciting, definitely eek!

I am 4+6 and feel like I am eating constantly. Have cramps and tender breasts and weird sleep patterns! It was actually being hot at night which was my first clue.

Nimisha good luck with your scan today. My cousin had the same thing happen but on the second scan it was ok - I hope it's the same for you.
