Hello, I'm due dc2 on oct 11th. Slightly scared as my ds is 20 months and a handful! I'm also waiting for a second interview for an amazing job and I know they won't be impressed if I get it then announce a pregnancy straight away. If I did get the job we will be moving across country so not sure whether to book in with a midwife yet or wait and see. I had my ds by emcs and had a very traumatic time, so hoping for an elcs this time. I keep panicking that my period is coming as I'm having much more cramps than last time. I'm wondering if that's due to my section scar stretching on the inside? It's such a nervous time!

Emberblu · 07/02/2017 12:55

Sorry to hear that nimisha Sad but there is still hope a strong you say.

Had my doctors appointment today but am still confused. She said to contact the midwife but didn't tell me how or what to do... (I was bewildered so probably didn't ask the questions I should have)... then said something about her (the doc) filling out a form too... is she referring me to a midwife? Should I expect something in the post? Should I call the maternity ward on the hospital to sort out a booking in with midwife? Confused plus I have stupid cramps again today which I havent had for 2 days and they are worrisome even though I know they are normal.

Emberblu · 07/02/2017 12:55

*a strong was suppose to say though...

DancingUnicorn · 07/02/2017 13:25

Ember I'd ring the surgery and ask them to clarify if they are referring you or if you need to self refer, and if the latter how to do it. Sorry you've ended up confused! I had no idea you could self refer until I saw people talking about it on here and then just googled my nearest service! Now anxiously waiting to hear as I feel like I need some sort of medical point of call!

GimbleInTheWabe · 07/02/2017 13:41

Sorry to hear what you're going through Nimisha Flowers

Emberblu · 07/02/2017 14:14

Thanks DancingUnicorn good idea Smile

Walikingdeadfan · 07/02/2017 14:34

Hi everyone, can I join too?
I got bfp yesterday, only 3+5 but had 25 day cycles. Due around 17th oct.
I will pm about joining facebook group too.
This will be my first but had a mc last year so think I will be exta anxious until 12 wks.
Only symptoms so far a few cramps and painful boob. Both symptoms seems to come and go.

wishmeluck16 · 07/02/2017 17:24

am i the only one who doesn't know what the groups are for lol?

sorry for being silly!

I find it weird that my GP will not give me a blood test and that everyone is simply trusting my home pg?

I am just so so happy today that my clearblue has gone from 1-2 to 2-3 weeks as I was stressing that the levels were not going up because I have NO symptoms of pregnancy other than AF cramps lol.

sj3rram1 · 07/02/2017 17:32

Wishmeluck I thought it wAs weird that they just trust you saying you got a positive test haha.

I've had my hcg levels checked as have been having some bleeding. They're increasing nicely so I'm told so trying to relax and enjoy but would be much easier if the bleeding would go away.

I have booked an early scan for next week to for a bit more reassurance so fingers crossed.

Hope you're all well 😊

powerpuffer · 07/02/2017 17:48

wishmeluck Home pregnancy tests are so accurate these days that there is no need to waste precious NHS resources by doing blood tests. I know what you mean though, it doesn't quite seem as 'real' when you base it on a test that you got in a Supermarket!

GimbleInTheWabe · 07/02/2017 17:48

wishme I think the groups mean the sex of the baby. So we're all yellow now as we won't don't know if we're having a blue (boy) or pink (girl), although that's just what I ascertained so do someone tell me if I'm wrong!

Have been so exhausted the past de days, barely had the energy to walk around the flat. Now I have back ache and decided to cook a risotto so will now be standing by the job stirring and complaining ha.

MrsCharlieD · 07/02/2017 17:51

All good here, cb digi said 2-3 weeks today which is reassuring. Boobs still tender and my back has been killing me but other than that all good.

How is everyone doing?

EmmaGarrick · 07/02/2017 18:19

Hi all,

I got my BFP last Thursday and I am currently around 5 weeks pregnant with number 1! Eeek! I have calculated my due date to be the 11/10/17 and I am hoping for some advice/ reassurance of symptoms etc.

Emma

DancingUnicorn · 07/02/2017 18:27

Sj3 hope you manage to relax, glad they've been checked for you!

Hi Emma! Also my first, so no advice from me, but hopefully reassurance!!

I'm suddenly feeling really anxious today. Was home over the weekend so was our exciting secret. Now I'm out in the world and it's all just a bit scary! The cramps really go feel just like af! Gr!!

MrsCharlieD · 07/02/2017 18:48

Welcome Emma! 2nd timer here and these early days are so worrying. I've got tender boobs and have cramps on and off as well as backache. I didn't really have morning sickness with ds and generally felt well throughout my pregnancy. I'm hoping I'll be as lucky thus time, although lack of symptoms can be so worrying. Try to enjoy it as best you can x

DancingUnicorn · 07/02/2017 18:54

I'm tearing up on the bus looking at ideas of ways to tell my parents on Pinterest which is pointless because I'll just phone them! Hormones are ridiculous!

tammie49 · 07/02/2017 19:00

I'm so sorry Nimisha. Thinking of you.

Emberblu · 07/02/2017 19:14

DancingUnicorn I'm with you on the cramps thing! It's feels exactly like AF has started and it does make me anxious 😩 Everything seems so far away at the moment I want it to go so quickly so I know time will drag by!

TinySalmon · 07/02/2017 19:15

Welcome those who are new! I will update the list every so often so please don't think I have forgot about any of you.

Nishima I'll keep you on the list for now. We'd be so upset to lose you! Please keep us updated for better or worse. Thinking of you Flowers

Yep wish, gimble's got it! We're all team yellow at the moment as we won't know the sex. Some will stay team yellow until delivery but at the end we will have a tally of how many for team blue and how many for team pink :)

puttingourhoodupdown · 07/02/2017 19:34

Evening all, thank you for the facbook group mrscharlie, I'm going to hold off joining until after 12 weeks though X

GimbleInTheWabe · 07/02/2017 19:38

Forgot to say that my letter from the midwife arrive today- yay! So I have my booking in appt which is at the hospital and will be three weeks tomorrow, so soon! I'm now 6+1 and getting more symptoms now. Luckily still no Morning sickness. What about everyone else?

hometownunicorn · 07/02/2017 19:39

I'm sorry nimisha Thinking of you.

I'm not feeling too bad today. Does anyone else feel unbelievably cold? I can't seem to get warm. Keep getting laughed at for spending my evenings wrapped up in a blanket and still complaining I'm cold.

MrsCharlieD · 07/02/2017 20:44

Yes hometown I've been huddled next to the radiator all evening. I remember this from oast time too.

Bubbles225 · 07/02/2017 20:48

Yes! I am freezing tonight! And the tiredness has hit hard these last two days. Hope everyone is doing OK :-)
5+3

conkerchops · 07/02/2017 21:01

I finally spoke to my gp this eve - she called me in the middle of my dance lesson - so I had to go and hide in the loo so people couldn't hear me! She is booking me an early scan following our mmc in October - hopefully this will help put my mind at rest as have been v v worried today that thing's will go wrong again! Hope you all warm up and have a cosy evening!
