Another one joining v tentatively - EDD oct 8th - already have one dad age 9 and a ds age ! Had a missed miscarriage in October which was particularly traumatic - had an MVA and then an infection:-(
5 weeks and 1 day today! Just booked drs appt and midwife appt for 8 weeks. Am undecided about having an early scan as I had one at 6 weeks last time where we saw the heart beat and one at 8 weeks where heart beat had stopped.
Am feeling v tired and have the most painful boobs - had to sleep in my maternity bra last night! Ouch!!!! Just want this early bit to be over as am not enjoying all the worry and anxiety ! Have had wonderful counselling after the miscarriage though and they will support me through whole pregnancy which is amazing!

MrsCharlieD · 06/02/2017 20:41

Welcome conker! I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope this pregnancy is smooth and worry free for you x

I have created a Facebook group. Please add your email address if you want me to be on it. It's a secret group so nobody can find it and only members can see posts.

conkerchops · 06/02/2017 20:58

Thank you mrscharlie - I would love to be on the facebook group my email address is [email protected]

Starfish83 · 06/02/2017 21:02

Thanks for setting up a Facebook group, MrsCharlieD. I've messaged you my email address. Smile

Star xx

MrsCharlieD · 06/02/2017 21:23

Ah I don't think I can invite by email on my phone. Unless I'm being thick and there's a really easy way to do it?

MrsCharlieD · 06/02/2017 21:33

Nope I've even tried logging in through safari. I'll add everyone who has pm'd me tomorrow from my laptop x

Emberblu · 06/02/2017 21:45

Wow very organised TinySalmon and congratulations, Fx it all goes smoothly for you and everyone else here!

Glad to hear I'm not the only first timer who is googling everything! My nausea has gone away which is actually disconcerting. Still slightly sore and big nipples Blush lots of bloating and what I'm hoping is water retention as I've put on about 5pounds in 3 weeks...hunger pangs have died down though and only the odd cramp here and there. ~5+3 and off to the docs in the morning (I feel I have no idea what I am doing!)

If anyone needs a laugh I cried (sobbed) today because what I was cooking in the oven overflowed and made a slight mess... I think the DH is a bit bewildered!

DancingUnicorn · 06/02/2017 21:54

Ember I sobbed because I couldn't get an appointment I wanted!! :s

Emberblu · 06/02/2017 21:57

Haha oh dear DancingUnicorn Grin I think I will just get worse though, I'm prepared to be an emotional wreck until October!

powerpuffer · 06/02/2017 22:27

Oooh, I want to join the FB group!

conkerchops · 06/02/2017 22:49

I cried because dh didn't want to watch the killing!

GimbleInTheWabe · 06/02/2017 23:05

Thanks for taking the time to compile the lot tiny, there's so many of us now!

Also thank you to the ladies who advised me about contacting the midwife (the thread had moved so fast I can't find your names, apologies!). I rang my GP and the receptionist (who is totally batty) said I'll receive another letter in the post with the details and date of my booking in appt so just going to wait to receive it.

Also I see there's talk of a Facebook group, does that mean this thread will become inactive? I don't use Facebook so I have some fomo going on now!

Is anyone else planning a trip away? My DP turns 30 in a few weeks and we're going to go to Iceland for 5 days but bloomin heck it is expensive! Any advice from anyone whose been is greatly welcomed!

rosalyn44 · 06/02/2017 23:15

I think this thread will still be active as I am sure some will not want to connect on fb ...possibly

Iv been to Iceland .....amazing and well worth the every penny ...blue lagoon is a must. Horse riding was amaze but you may not want to do that and gullfoss there is a tour you can do that includes that....bring water proof shoes trousers coat everything ...if nothing else go prepared ...will be freezing but amazing

DaisyFranceLynch · 07/02/2017 05:41

Thanks for setting up the email group, MrsCharlieD. Have sent you a pm - hope it works.

DancingUnicorn · 07/02/2017 07:27

I'm sure we'll still be here gimble! Glad you got your answers about the midwife! I'm still waiting for first contact after self referral, which seems ages ago but was only one working day ago so I need to be patient!!

Loving the crying stories. Definitely makes me feel less insane! First day back at work for me today. It's going to be weird! I'm hoping it'll help with this time void that's going on.

MrsCharlieD · 07/02/2017 07:53

Invites have been sent to everyon who has pm'd me! Btw feel free to change the group photo, it might not be to everyone's taste 🙈

TinySalmon · 07/02/2017 09:08

For those of us on second (or third or fourth) pregnancies... are you feeling your symptoms much more earlier? I didn't have any symptoms till about 7 weeks last time but now I'm nauseous, sore boobs, sore nipples, hungry had McDonald's for breakfast, and really crampy already!

I'm not that active on FB these days but might join after the 20 week scan if I get that far again.

DaisyFranceLynch · 07/02/2017 09:48

Hi tinysalmon I am only 4+1 but definitely have the sore boobs (which I didn't get so early last time) and intermittent cramps. I remember I started feeling nauseous at 6/7 weeks last time so bracing myself for that. Have also noticed a desire for carbs and sweets but that kicked in as soon as I got my BFP last time too - I think it's partly psychological because I'm so relieved not to be on a diet any more.

harrietm87 · 07/02/2017 10:09

Hello everyone can I join? Got my bfp this morning! I've had really strong symptoms from 7dpo - nausea and cramping - so I was pretty sure I was pregnant but only got positive test today at 11dpo!

The internet tells me due date is 19 October. This will hopefully be my first baby. I had a chemical pregnancy last Feb so prepared that it might not stick but hoping for the best!

Starfish83 · 07/02/2017 10:32

Yaaaay, congratulations and welcome, Harriet! 😊 Lovely to see you on this thread. Hope that this is a healthy pregnancy for you.

harrietm87 · 07/02/2017 10:38

Thanks starfish you too! Kind of can't believe it and haven't told anyone in real life apart from DH. Telling myself it's early days but also so excited...and scared!

Nimisha · 07/02/2017 11:07

Hi Tiny, Thanks for doing the list.
I might be out, currently in limbo. Had an early scan (I had a miscarriage in October) but only saw an empty sac. Had an internal scan too but no baby, no yolk sack. Measuring 9 days behind at 5+4 (I thought I was 6+6).

I have been frantically googling and there are a few stories of a positive outcome but in most cases its a blighted ovum. I have a rescan in 10 days and we will see what we see. I know my dates are not wrong, I did OPKs and got a BFP at 12dpo.

I have sore boobs, i'm hungry and have zits. But with blighted ovum all the hormones are there, just no baby. I am holding out hope I have a slow grower, ( I have read of cases where the embryo catches up), otherwise its miscarriage management again. I had surgical last time, might go for medical this time I'm not sure.

Starfish83 · 07/02/2017 11:42

Nimisha, so sorry to hear this. Thinking of you.
