Hi Starfish! Congratulations on your bfp! My first also, and swing between ridiculously excited and googling all things baby, and utterly terrified about the journey ahead.

Presh88 · 06/02/2017 14:36

Thanks for the list tiny Smile keeping everything crossed for a healthy happy pregnancy for you this time around

wishmeluck16 · 06/02/2017 14:41

hi everyone!

My self calculated due date is October 13th!

Hi Tiny !! :D

DancingUnicorn · 06/02/2017 14:50

Congratulations wish. Hope all goes well! :)

wishmeluck16 · 06/02/2017 15:27

aww thanks guys!

did you all get a blood test with your GP to confirm pregnancy?

also, I have NO symptoms apart from AF cramps. is that normal? I do not have sore boobs or anything else ....

wapsmahoney · 06/02/2017 15:28

How is everyone feeling?
I've had a quiet few days as I was feeling super anxious.
Im 5+3 today which was when my MC started last time but I took another clearblue test this morning and its now gone up to 3+ weeks!

Welcome all newbies and congrats on you BFP!
Thanks for the list tiny - there's quite a lot of us now!!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday so far :)

Orifu · 06/02/2017 16:18

Hi everyone,

Another newbie here, early early days so feeling cautious. I posted my squinter of a test in conception this morning! EDD is 17th October.
I had negatives all the way up to this morning but I was convinced I was pregnant because I felt so tired, teary and nauseous, so was pleased to see even faint confirmation of it.
Glad to be a part of such a busy group- roll on the next few weeks so we can all start to relax a little bit more...

DancingUnicorn · 06/02/2017 16:29

wish I didn't go to my GP (My fave dr left about 18 months ago and I've never liked any of the others very much, so didn't really want them to be the first people I've told!) There was a self referral form for midwife services for my local hospital, so filled in that instead. No idea really when I might hear something from them though... Feel like I have literally NO idea what I'm doing!

rosalyn44 · 06/02/2017 16:43

5+1 and got clear blue 3+ Weeks today. Bit tired and little sore boobs but hardly any symptoms. Thanks for the list @tiny ...I do love a list Smile

pollybythesea · 06/02/2017 16:52

Hey guys, I am 33 and due with my first on 14th October. Thought it would be fun to join here. BFP today - but I have had waves of nausea and cramps ever since ovulation on and off! Plus I'm exhausted. Looking forward to the ride ahead though!

krakentoast · 06/02/2017 16:57

Wow, thanks for the great list tiny! And congratulations on your new pregnancy after such a traumatic and unfair experience. Fingers crossed for a very happy story for you this time.

Has anyone else been hit by fatigue? I'm only at 5w and still no nausea but feel like I've been hit with the exhaustion stick. I slept for 14 hours on Saturday night (enjoying it while I can I guess) and could very easily stay in bed all day long at the moment! It's pretty frustrating. Also I already have comedy giant boobs.

krakentoast · 06/02/2017 17:01

Ah I see lots of other people have been tired too! That'll teach me to RTFT. In other news I have been paranoid after eating parma ham before I realised it's verboten, and am now convinced I have toxoplasmosis (not particularly helpful that it's symptomless, is it?).

Anyway now I'm going to go and read a big long list of all the forbidden foods and live an abstemious life from now on

DancingUnicorn · 06/02/2017 17:01

Kraken My boobs feel ginormous... but my oh didn't seem to notice any different, so I'm guessing it's in my head!

DancingUnicorn · 06/02/2017 17:04

Also kraken I think I read somewhere that a lot of people already have toxoplasmosis immunity from exposure in their life...? So I'm sure you'll be fine! It's annoying as I suddenly really want to eat everything that's on the list of forbidden things!

krakentoast · 06/02/2017 17:27

Dancing oh I know, the list is like a menu for a particularly delicious restaurant! Reading it just makes me hungry!

To be honest my boobs probably don't look that much different either but they just feel so tender and wobbly and ridiculous

MrsCharlieD · 06/02/2017 18:06

Thanks for the list tiny! And welcome to the new guys! Wish me my edd is 13th too but I was a week later with ds so expecting similar.
Symptoms are still very tender boobs and cramps. Unfortunately I've not had the best day. My friend at work has pcos and diabetes as well as irregular ovulation. She's 37 and desperate for a baby but she's been told she can't even try until her blood sugars are under control. I texted her over the weekend so she'd have time to process things but she hasn't spoken a word to me all day. We've been friends for 10 years and I was completely ready to act as normal and not even mention anything but she wouldn't even look at me. It was a horrible day.

hometownunicorn · 06/02/2017 18:24

MrsCharlieD that sounds so hard. Maybe she just needs some more time to process? I hope she does soon, as it's a pretty horrible situation for you otherwise.

tiny thank you for the list. I hope this pregnancy goes well for you.

The symptoms I've had today are headaches, tiredness, and I'm a bit emotionally all over the place. Everything is annoying me and I'm not sure if I'm going to burst into tears or shout at people. Probably best to keep my mouth shut entirely I think!

I've also pulled a muscle in my neck but I think it's a stretch to attribute that to pregnancy. Grin

DancingUnicorn · 06/02/2017 18:29

Charlie I'm sorry. It sounds like you did everything you could to make it as easy as possible. Hopefully it's just time to process that's needed and things will go back to normal soon.

TinySalmon · 06/02/2017 18:30

hi friend!! :)

Oh god yes to the tiredness! Had a nap this afternoon Blush and yes to big boobs. Have slapped on my maternity bra to hold my boobs in and jumped in to maternity leggings already as feeling really bloaty and a great excuse to eat icecream for lunch

Thanks for the list @tiny and welcome to all the newbies.
My December 2015 group formed a secret group on Facebook which has been a lifeline to me as a first time mum. This time I get to be one of the wise old nth timers 😂😂
I'm realising that the thought of looking after 2 is freaking me out a bit. I'm not a young woman anymore. 😭

puttingourhoodupdown · 06/02/2017 19:36

Thanks so much tiny and so sorry for the tough journey you've had so far!

charlie that's sounds a very difficult situation, as others have said hopefully she just needs time to come round to it.

My nausea has been hit and miss today. 7+4 today and have a scan booked for Friday, fx all is ok! Boobs are sore and absolutely knackered!!

tammie49 · 06/02/2017 19:43

Yes, I should have said; so sorry @tiny and great to have you here.

@Charlie do you think you'd be able to have a chat with her at some point. I'm sure she'll come round.

My MIL is here but we're not going to say anything to her just yet as I'd rather do it over the phone and avoid the hysteria (my PILs live about 200 miles away).

Starfish83 · 06/02/2017 20:21

Thanks DancingUnicorn, wapsmahoney, MrsCharlieD and tammie49 for the welcome, and thank you TinySalmon for adding me to the list! Smile

Welcome to the other newbies today!

It's so nice to have others to chat to - particularly at the moment as it's only my DH and my Mum who know!

My symptoms at the mo are sore boobs (when I prod them!) and they're definitely a bit bigger (quite noticeable when you're an A-cup!). I've been really hungry, weeing lots, been bloated, had some gentle cramping, and some spots have appeared on each side of my face near my hairline (very bizarre!). I'm a good sleeper but could definitely sleep at anytime at the moment!

Have to confess I did another HPT over the weekend - I have a few in the house and just wanted to check!

Hope that everyone's doing OK. Hoping that these early weeks fly by and that everyone has a healthy ride. At 4+2, 12 weeks seems so far away!

Star xx

MrsCharlieD · 06/02/2017 20:28

I hope so @tammie. She was similar in my last pregnancy but we've been trying for 7 months this time and I've had a chemical so it's not been plain sailing. My June 2014 group has a Facebook group and it's my life line too. So much easier to keep up with too. Shall I set it up?
