Hello!!

This is a new wave of grads for those from #TTC1 - Those on the first grade thread are dealing with poonamis and crying babies, while we are still waving our FRER's and wondering if that line is really a figment of our imagination!

Feel free to join in, if you too are embarking on this crazy journey to parenthood!!

No more stabby pains today Music, they didn't last long, thankfully. My first scan is Jan 14th, the same day as Nicky I think - and you're not strange Nicky, I like dried prunes too. :)

Not looking forward to constipation, Moose, I won't lie. I already suffer and know it's just going to get worse - if I exercise it's better but it's hard now when I get out of breath so fast!

Oh my god, I am SO tired. SOOOO tired. It's a struggle to keep my eyes open today and nearly missed my stop on the train this morning. It's almost painful to stay awake and I'm seriously considering calling it a day early and asking my manager if I can just go home and sleep, though we're both utterly swamped with work at the moment. Will probably just have to suck it up and get on with it.

Also getting a bit queasy most mornings the last few days. If I eat soon after getting up it's fine but my tummy is definitely telling me I need to keep myself sustained! If this is all the 'morning sickness' I get, I'll have gotten off lightly - my sister was violently ill every day for weeks - but Mum reckons she never really suffered at all and I know other ladies who didn't. Just hoping I can manage Christmas dinner without wanting to heave!

LovelyFishy · 21/12/2016 10:42

Music I have my 20 week scan next Friday, amazing to think it's that far along already!

Kav I just had 2 weeks where I stopped being tired but it's come back the last few days. So much for feeling awake!

WantingBaby1 · 21/12/2016 10:47

Yep scan is tomorrow for me music good luck to you and Mrs for your scans.

I think the constipation symptom has hit me Confused

marmitecheesetoast · 21/12/2016 11:07

Oh god I remember that tiredness well Kav I used to go home and nap almost every day after work while DH cooked tea! Don't worry it won't last forever, you'll just feel a bit knackered for a while instead of like a complete zombie Xmas Grin

Thanks Music hope you manage to fight your cold off before it gets going properly! I feel dreadful today and wouldn't be in work if we weren't so busy Xmas Envy

Ohh Fishy 20 week scan so exciting! You will be amazed when you see how much change there has been again between 12 and 20 weeks, especially if they manage to get a good close up on the face for you! We got a lovely scan photo of the wee face with a button nose! Have you decided if you're finding out the sex or having a surprise? Are you feeling movement now then? I love feeling the kicks it's still a novelty, I can imagine when they get stronger and are up in your ribs its less fun though!!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow Wanting

Hope the prune juice has done the trick for you Moose Xmas Wink me on the other hand wish I could slow things down Xmas Hmm maybe baby is pressing on stomach or something?!

Mooseville · 21/12/2016 11:38

Day two of prune juice and no movement yet! Although not sure my Greggs lunch will have helped!!! Hmm

Off for my 16 week appt now. I hope she's a heartbeat listener!

The tiredness does pass, well the complete exhaustion phase.... I'm just tired by evening these days instead of all day, every day!!

marmitecheesetoast · 21/12/2016 12:29

Ah fingers crossed you get to hear the heartbeat Moose!

Mooseville · 21/12/2016 15:42

Double whammy of good news! There was both a heart beat and the prune juice has done the trick!!! I can really relax this evening! Xmas Grin

WantingBaby1 · 21/12/2016 15:57

Excellent news moose! On both counts!

Can we have some fx-ing for my fist scan tomorrow plz. Nervous! I'll be 7+3. Really hoping to hear a heartbeat so we can confidently tell family at Xmas.

MrsG280516 · 21/12/2016 16:42

Fabulous news Moose

Happy to report my nausea hasn't been to bad today. Although I bought some "breakfast shakes" yesterday to help me get something in my stomach asap in the morning and the one I opened today was curdled and sour. That almost made me throw up anyway!

Mooseville · 21/12/2016 16:59

Good Luck wanting What time is your scan? Will be thinking of you and sending positive vibes!

Mrs G I bought a stash of brioche buns and belvita biscuits just to eat straight away to get a lining in my stomach. The little choc chip brioche are lovely and keep fresh for ages so you can just munch one a day! That shake would make me sick now!

Amazing news moose - you must have come away from that with a warm, happy feeling!

Lots of luck tomorrow wanting. Let us know how it goes. Remember that the statistics are in your favour that everything is fine! Know it must be nerve wracking though.

kav is your first scan the NHS one at 12 weeks?

Main symptom for me this week is being tired and excessively emotional. I have cried twice at work this week. These are the only times I have cried in this job in my 13 months doing it. I really need this week to end soon so that I can do some damage limitation !

kavanaughkj · 21/12/2016 23:42

No Music, my scan on Jan 14 is a 10 week 'viability' scan and the Harmony test which is the early blood test to check for Downs. I'm 7 weeks on Friday so still mega early days for me!

Good luck with the scan tomorrow Wanting!

Off to bed for me now. It's weird, in work I was so tired I could barely move or think, now I'm home in the evening and feeling generally OK. Just hungry all the time (and possibly craving macaroni cheese as that's all I seem to want to eat!). Weirdness.

LovelyFishy · 22/12/2016 07:02

Moose glad everything went well yesterday!

Fx for your scan Wanting!

Marmite we're going to find out the sex. I had a scan at 16 weeks and was amazed by the changes even in that time!

Musicgrrl · 22/12/2016 08:31

Fx wanting!

Late for work this morning because I had a nose bleed just before I left the house. Haven't had one in 10 years. Apparently that's a pregnancy thing!

Nicky883 · 22/12/2016 08:33

Good Luck for your test today Wanting !

No Symptoms other than sore boobs for me :( i am 5 weeks tomorrow and i am getting so worried !

WantingBaby1 · 22/12/2016 09:18

Thanks ladies. Anxiously nervous Confused

nicky so easy to worry but try to relax if you can. V common to be symptomless.

Sorry about the nosebleed music! What a faff.

marmitecheesetoast · 22/12/2016 09:26

Great news Moose! It'll start to go quick from here on in!

Good luck for your scan today WantingBaby

Music mmm yes the nosebleeds.... I had a week or two of ridiculously heavy nose bleeds - make sure you have plenty of tissues in your bag as you may get a few more in the next few days! Fx not though!

I've got my first community midwife appointment tomorrow morning, all the rest have been at the hospital so far and it's been really unpersonal and rushed and seen a different person each time. Hoping that with the community midwifes I might see the same person or two each time and that it'll feel less rushed! This is where they start measuring your bump! I feel like mine is quick big already Xmas Confused

Nicky883 · 22/12/2016 11:01

Need advise thinking of changing my scan from 14 of january to 7 of january i ll be 7+2 by then . They should definately be able to see a heartbeat at 7 weeks right ?
I am just paranoid i am googling empty sacs and ectopics ! I hate myself somethimes why cant i just telax and enjoy this ?? Angry

LovelyFishy · 22/12/2016 11:41

Nicky step away from Google. I had slightly sore boobs and that was it, they were normally worse around AF! I had no other symptoms and I too managed to convince myself all wss not well. But it was. I know it's the hardest thing to do and I only partially achieved it but try and relax. I spent my first 12 weeks worried and now wished I'd enjoyed it more! When you feel yourself start to worry try having several strategies to distract yourself. Mine were colouring books, puzzle books and computer games. Don't beat yourself up, you're amazing and you can do this!

Musicgrrl · 22/12/2016 11:55

I've thought about this too nicky but having a scan won't stop a miscarriage if it's going to happen and there is still a risk in weeks 8-12 (and beyond!) so I think 8 weeks is a good mid way point so that you are waiting a week less for the 12 week NHS scan than if you go at 7 weeks, assuming all is well of course. I say this but clearly what I really want is a weekly scan! Ha.

Nicky883 · 22/12/2016 12:37

Thanks fishy i needed that ! I guess am so paranoid because it is a long awaited bfp !

Music it doesnt help that my pregnant friendin another country gets a scan every two weeks from week 5 through her private insurance which covers almost everything ! Not that am jealous or anything :p

WantingBaby1 · 22/12/2016 14:24

Had my scan, all fine! So relieved. Strong heartbeat and got to take home some photos and a video. Dated as per my ovulation date which makes me 7+1 rather than +3, and puts due date back to 9th August. So thrilled and happy!

nicky if you want a scan at 7+2 go for it. It made me much happier going into Christmas knowing I can comfortably tell my family.

Musicgrrl · 22/12/2016 14:34

Ahhhh wanting that's fantastic!!! What an amazing early Xmas present Xmas Smile

Mooseville · 22/12/2016 14:36
