Mooseville · 05/12/2016 18:41

Hello!!

This is a new wave of grads for those from #TTC1 - Those on the first grade thread are dealing with poonamis and crying babies, while we are still waving our FRER's and wondering if that line is really a figment of our imagination!

Feel free to join in, if you too are embarking on this crazy journey to parenthood!!

Hello ladies.

Loverly mobile skip!

The mum2mum fairs sounds great. I'll have a Google.

13 wks tomorrow :) told work a few days ago and my boss was just lovely. Huge relief. Otherwise nothing to report apart from the headaches. Almost daily :( totally worth it of course but really is a drag. I'm taking paracetamol every couple of days. Is anyone else suffering with similar?

WantingBaby1 · 31/01/2017 19:33

Oops posted too soon!

Wanted to say good luck to all those awaiting scans and a huge congrats to all those who have had them :)

Mooseville · 31/01/2017 19:45

Congrats music Great news!

Sat in A&E. cramping and some light bleeding. Hoping everything will be ok but I'm fearing the worse. 😢

Musicgrrl · 31/01/2017 20:09

Oh no mouse, that sounds scary. Thinking of you and got my fingers crossed doubly that everything is okay. Are the cramps very painful?

Seahawk80 · 31/01/2017 20:12

Oh mouse, I hope it's ok. I had lots of bleeds, sometimes with cramping and it was ok. I always feared the worst and it's easy to say but try to stay positive. I've been to A&E before and normally had to go for a scan the next morning, I'll be thinking of you x

HellsBellsK · 31/01/2017 20:14

Oh Mouse I am having positive thoughts for you. I hope everything will be okay. Flowers

Mooseville · 31/01/2017 20:41

Oh no mouse Sending positive vibes. Hope everything is ok.

Thanks. Doesn't look good. No more "spotting" and cramps only mild but my HCG levels are quite low. 3007 on Friday. 4770 today. I also overheard that my urine (very weak) tested negative. They've moved forward my scan from Saturday to Thursday. I feel completely numb and expecting the worse.

Mooseville · 01/02/2017 06:46

Sorry mouse Make sure you look after yourself today and rest up. We'll all be hoping you have good news at the scan. Flowers

mouse so sorry to hear that. I know nothing about what HCG levels should be but I thought pregnancy tests became less strong after you have been pregnant a while and like you said, it was weak, evening pee. Glad they have brought forward scan and spotting has stopped. Hopefully this is just a blip. Hope you can rest up and take it easy for now Flowers

marmitecheesetoast · 01/02/2017 10:01

Thanks for the tip Moose have had a Google and found a Mum2Mum sale in one of the rather posh suburbs near me later this month! It's also conveniently when my parents are down to help with the house stuff so me and mum can hopefully go along together which will be a nice thing to get to do together given she's normally so far away! Smile

Sorry to hear you've been having such a rough time NS hopefully the end is in sight and you'll be feeling much better before too long. The food intolerances are not what you need on top of everything else!

Congrats on the scan Music! Glad you got your date sorted MrsG

Can't believe people would come out and ask you like that Dixie! Sounds like you had a good response though!

So sorry to hear this Mouse. Glad the spotting has stopped and they've moved your scan forward. As others have said evening diluted wee can make a big difference plus I always thought that's why people tell you not to keep doing pregnancy tests after you are pregnant as they do get weaker. Thinking of you and hoping you're being looked after well in the meantime Flowers

Had my anti-d injection this morning, urgh, it was horrible! Not a nice one at all!

Can't believe I'm 30 weeks on Friday. That is a big very real number! Got first NCT class tonight which is exciting but scary, a bit like first day at school! Hope everyone is nice/I make friends!!

Seahawk80 · 01/02/2017 10:17

marmite I had an anti d after my CVS - was almost as bad as the CVS! I'm not looking forward to the next one! Did you have to have bloods taken the day before? I can't understand why they can't just take the bloods before they do it? Still more time out of the office I suppose.

Thinking of you Mouse, glad they've bought your scan forward x

marmitecheesetoast · 01/02/2017 10:35

Seahawk they just did my bloods at the same appointment this morning, before the injection. I've luckily managed to avoid any anti-d up til this point despite two falls in pregnancy (didn't hit bump either time) can't imagine CVS and anit-d at once was much fun!
My appointment was at 8am so I actually had set my alarm for 20 minutes earlier than I would normally for work and only ended up getting into the office 5 mins late! Envy surely one of the perks of antenatal appointments should be getting a bit of an extra lie in! Wink

Seahawk80 · 01/02/2017 11:26

I always book mine for 10 am under the excuse that the trains to the hospital are horribly busy any earlier. Really it's because my work are really tight and I love the fact that they have to pay me for being out of the office! I'd feel differently if I worked for a small company I'm sure but my work are a big company who can afford it and they treat their staff pretty badly. They pay well which is why I'm stuck there but in general they are not good to work for. Not looking forward to the battle I'll have when I dare to ask to come back 4 days a week!

LovelyFishy · 01/02/2017 12:55

Skip love the mobile! Haven't even started looking at those yet, defiantly want to now!

Music glad your scan went well, it's amazing how much they move already st 12 weeks isn't it? Smile

Mouse sorry to hear about scary A&E trip, fx for you. Flowers

Is today a special day I don't know about? New symbols have appeared! BearGin??

FXSkip · 01/02/2017 13:14

mouse how awful, I am so so sorry you re going through this. You're right to prepare for the worst, although we are all hoping for the best for you. I know that numb feeling, just remember that whatever happens you will be fine. We're all here for a hand hold if you need it x

marmitecheesetoast · 01/02/2017 14:38

Is that a bottle of Gordon's Gin Skip? HmmGin

marmitecheesetoast · 01/02/2017 14:39

I meant Fishy!

Musicgrrl · 01/02/2017 16:37

MrsG we are both quite private people in real life and it will be both of our parents first grandchild. We kind of didn't want the pressure of them getting really excited and asking questions/giving advice as well as the early pregnancy anxiety that we were feeling so we decided we would tell them, all being well, after our 12 week scan. We don't live that close to our parents so it hasn't been too hard keeping it quiet but I did have to drink quite a bit of non alcoholic wine and gin free G&Ts over Xmas!

Also, ooh no, I'm not on any grad threads apart from this one. I'll take a look for the August one. Although I do find it quite difficult to keep up with threads on MN sometimes!

Dixie I would just reply to your colleagues by telling them that they look tired too! How rude of them.

What is this anti D and CVS stuff? Not heard of either but they don't sound vey fun!

Seahawk I would do that with my appointment times too. I feel like these big companies don't particularly care about us so why should we try to accommodate them particularly? Coming back 4 days sounds good. Hope they agree it for you.

What are other people thinking for their working arrangements post baby?

Moose I feel like January has completely dragged but it does feel like a shock to have suddenly arrived at the 12 week mark. Quite scary that the next scan isn't until 20 weeks.

For those of you who have been there and done that what should I be looking out for/aware of between now and then?!

Mrs you're having a private gender scan aren't you?

Fishy do you think that emoticon is sponsored??

Still thinking of you mouse Flowers

MrsG280516 · 01/02/2017 17:25

Mouse I'm so sorry about your A&E trip, really hope everything works out for you and this is just a bump in the road Flowers

Fair enough Music it is a very personal thing, its the first grandchild on both sides for us too but I knew I would let slip at some point anyway, we are only over the road from DH's parents and 5 minutes away from mine.

We are having a private gender scan yes on 25th February. Now planning a gender reveal party for the following day. I love planning parties (would really love to do it as a job tbh!) so I'm in my element at the moment.

Mooseville · 01/02/2017 17:50

Hope you're ok mouse Flowers

music I found I felt loads less tired and hungover after week 12, but worrying wise I was at my worst between weeks 17 - 20? I couldn't figure out if I felt movements and after having the high Down syndrome screening at the 12 week scan I was nervous for the 20 week scan. Now after the scan was fine and I feel movement I'm happy and relaxed again! Well most of the time!

Pleased you found a sale marmite They are a bit of a jumble sale and will obviously depend on who is selling what there but it was fun to go and look and you may get a good a bargain as us!

Hopefully our house move is ON for next Tuesday! So happy although so nervous about how big the renovation job is going to be! Confused

Thank you ladies. I'm not doing so great but I'll get there. I just want today to be over so I can prepare for the next step. I'm going to try to eat something. Only light spotting when I wipe today. But the HCG thing is what's confirmed it for me. X

Seahawk80 · 01/02/2017 19:17

Music the anti d is an injection you have to have if your blood type is rhesus negative, if you're positive no one will have mentioned it (lucky you) as you won't need to have it. CVS is an invasive test - I had one on the same day as my 12 week scan as I came back as 1/13 for downs and 1/14 for Edwards/ Patau which was pretty awful. Thankfully all was fine. If you've had your scan and test results you won't need to have that either!

I had a scan at 16 weeks as I felt so much better and couldn't believe the baby was still there. I'd like another one to be honest but I need to manage my anxiety and wait for the 20 week scan on 13th. Can't wait until I can feel the baby move.

Hope tonight goes quick for you mouse while I waited for our cvs test results it was so hard. I'm thinking of you x

Seahawk80 · 02/02/2017 09:32

Good luck today Mouse Flowers
