Hi everyone, just been back through and caught up as I’ve mostly been feeling too rough to contemplate posting in the last week or so.
Thanks so much for the response to my scan last weekend.
Miw, I’m so so sorry for your loss, how awful
MrsG thanks for mentioning your friend with the gluten intolerance that was useful, and congrats on the scan.
Dixie and Wanting congrats on your scans too.
Kav, sorry to hear about DH’s hidden spending, it must be galling when you think you knowwhat’s going on but don’t really. Pleased it sounds like you have good plans for getting back on track though. One other idea: have you heard of YNAB (You Need A Budget)? It is software you pay a small subscription for which records and categorises (according to your categories, of course!) all of your spending fairly automatically (I can now upload online Lloyds statements, it’s great, saves loads of hassle entering into spreadsheets!), and helps you to budget longer term (eg to save each month towards annual costs/emergencies so you know you have stuff covered). We now have a shared account, and have fairly equal individual spending categories we can each see within the budget. And of course we have a ‘baby’ saving category.
Skip, sorry to hear your DH’s insensitive comments, but pleased you’re feeling a bit better/learning to manage the sickness. Super cute mobile!
Mouse, sorry to hear about the dick on the tram, that must have been horrible, I remember feeling and being made to feel awkward about my (fairly invisible) ‘need’ for a seat before I used a wheelchair or crutches. Also, pleased your booking in went well and that mw is lovely, always good.
Moose, hooray for feeling more movements and thanks for the Mum2Mum sale tip: tentatively arranged to go to one here with my Mum in May, so that’s an exciting thing to look forward to. Really hope the move goes through for you this week too!
Marmite, sorry to hear about the prosecco duties, no fun and not the most considerate! My DH was making cocktails last night and I was pretty jealous, though generally he’s really really considerate about boozing less as I can’t, and he didn’t have much last night.
Music, like your milestone idea, that’s useful. Our next one is 4 hr appointment with neuro consultant-led ante-natal clinic on Fri morning, where we’ll hopefully get another scan. Counting down the days. Your 12 week scan must be soon now too? That’s exciting.
Hells hope your migraines have stayed away over the last few days and that you're doing ok.
Pleased to hear tales of beginning to feel better soonish from several of you: yesterday was an exception to my feeling rough, I was so pleased to both make it out of the house AND manage a board game: only been out otherwise for medical stuff really! Today I’ve been better than last week but not so good as yesterday. Vaguely crossing fingers the pain after eating at least might be easing/passing, as not had that today, touch wood (ended up in walk-in on Weds in agony and seeking pain-killers after eating tofu, so that’s now on list with gluten, and possibly oats!). So lucky my GP is understanding and happy to help however she can though, think it helps that she’s a woman who has young children, as I’ve read on the Sept thread that others are super unhelpful. If I ‘just’ have nausea and a bit of constipation now I’ll be happy, as think I am learning to manage those.
Sorry this has been such an essay, wanted to try and catch up with most of you and your weeks!
I really value this thread, thanks everyone!
