#TTC1 - Second Wave grads thread!

Hello!!

This is a new wave of grads for those from #TTC1 - Those on the first grade thread are dealing with poonamis and crying babies, while we are still waving our FRER's and wondering if that line is really a figment of our imagination!

Feel free to join in, if you too are embarking on this crazy journey to parenthood!!

Good luck wanting!!! Life shouldn't stop when you're upduffed.
Those massive U pillows look comfy but huge!! I've seen an L pillow in ikea I might try.

Mooseville · 04/01/2017 08:46

Good Luck wanting You should defo go for it!

I've ordered a pillow off Mamas and Papas in the sale. Just waiting on its arrival.

I think I felt baby moving last night - not 100% sure as it's such a light feeling and every time I tried to concentrate on it it would stop and I could only feel my own pulse and breathing!!!

How many weeks are you now marmite? Things are heating up for you! It's very exciting!

We should maybe start up a list with our dates and if we're finding out the sex etc!! I can attempt to compile it, but I don't promise to be any good at it!

Good thinking moose !

Hells
EDD: 1st September.
DH wants to find out but I don't so not sure what will happen.

marmitecheesetoast · 04/01/2017 10:55

I was thinking thinking this the other week Moose good idea!

Marmite
EDD: 14th April (yikes!)
Team Vanilla! (I.e. We kept it a surprise!)

I'm 25 and a half weeks now Moose and definitely feeling like this pregnancy has suddenly got a whole lot more serious! If that makes sense?! Very exciting on the movement front! I was like that at first, didn't feel anything further for a good week after I thought I first felt movement but just wait a few weeks down the line and there'll be no mistaking the kicks! I love it! Especially when I can get the angle right so that DH can feel a kick in his back in bed heheh Grin

I have the boppy pregnancy cuddle pillow and also the boppy wedge. Worked well for me at first but feel like now I'm bigger I needed something a bit more so I'm currently awaiting delivery of one of the big U shaped ones that I got in the sale... not sure whether or not there'll still be room for DH in the bed too!!

kavanaughkj · 04/01/2017 15:55

Nice idea Moose :)

Kav
EDD: August 11th
Also Team Vanilla, though DH wanted to know. I do but I don't - I'm curious but as long as it's healthy I'm happy either way. And yes, Star, people can get the gender of the baby wrong! It's only a small chance but it does happen from what I've heard.

My pillow's a U shaped one, and yes it's big, but it just cuddles me to sleep. I'm really liking it at the moment. :)

MrsG280516 · 04/01/2017 16:36

Decided to book a private gender scan on my lunch break today haha! We will be finding out at the earliest possible date, 16 weeks exactly. Also I got a call back from the midwife at my GP surgery, she's not concerned that my booking appointment isn't until I'm 10+4 and thinks I'll still get a 12w scan date in time for screening etc.

Bit late - sorry!
EDD 17 Aug
Sex - I want to find out, DH has a slight preference for not so I think we will end up finding out!
12 week scan booked for 31 Jan which is exciting!

marmitecheesetoast · 04/01/2017 18:13

Thanks for doing the list moose! Alrhough im not sure I like being at the top of the list and so far ahead everyone else! - where's fishy she's next after me I think so I won't feel quite so lonely up there!

I really do feel in limbo between the two grad threads as it's scary being first on here ahead so much than a lot of but they all have actual real babies on the other grad thread now!! Shock

MrsG280516 · 04/01/2017 18:29

Does anyone already have a (fur) baby? This is my baby boy ☺ no idea how he's going to react to a baby, he has been great with any kids we've met on walks though.

Musicgrrl · 04/01/2017 18:36

Yes, mrs! We have a lovely cat. She can be a bit anxious so I will be reading up about how to make it as easy as possible for her. Your fur baby looks very handsome Smile

#TTC1 - Second Wave grads thread!
WantingBaby1 · 04/01/2017 18:47

I'm in the cat club too! Hadn't thought how she would react to a baby. May need to move her sleeping basket from our bedroom though. And be extra vigilant with her.

mrs my friends have a dog and a 2 month old baby. They bought home a worn baby grow from the hospital and got the dog to sniff it. Then when baby came home he was fine with him.

Mooseville · 04/01/2017 18:56

marmite At least you have the benefit if both groups. Baby experience there and nervous pregnancy here - once we've all popped the time difference will matter much less as we're helping each other through the sleepless nights!!!

No fur baby here, I was considering getting a dog as we're about to move to the country. However, I think a baby is enough to handle atm!

MrsG280516 · 04/01/2017 19:09

We have a cat too but he's more of an outdoor fella. He loves cuddles but the puppy is still very boisterous with him so they don't get along! I tend to keep them separate for my own sanity!

#TTC1 - Second Wave grads thread!
marmitecheesetoast · 05/01/2017 08:16

Yes very good point moose!

Two fur babies here!
One I think will keep their distance and be ok (although hopefully not too stressed out by baby) but the other one basically behaves like a puppy in a cat's body and has to be sitting on me/getting attention at all times and jumping into everything possible so a bit worried about how that will go... will have to just shut the cats away in one side of the house maybe a lot of the time during the day as worried about her trying to jump in with baby or something when my backs turned ( hope the cats don't just decide to move out Sad )

marmitecheesetoast · 05/01/2017 08:17

Also meant to say gorgeous fur babies above... just think, before we know it we'll be sharing pictures of actual babies ShockShock

MouseLove · 05/01/2017 08:23

Well no fur babies here, DH is allergic. We used to have fish but the MIL killed them off with a dodgy fairground fish she just plopped in the tank. Let's say they didn't have any fins by the end of the day.

BUT we have a neighbour cat that is very friendly and meows at our back door. This is princess.

I feel left out... no pets of our own sadly but here is my parents' dog who I love to pieces... what a cutie 💕

MrsG280516 · 05/01/2017 09:11

Awww gorgeous fur babies guys. My puppy is such a handful. He'll be 2 just after baby is due so I'm hoping he will have calmed down a bit more by then, he's 16 months now so still not out of his annoying teenage stage.

FXSkip · 05/01/2017 09:49

Hi everyone 👋 me again! I was apprehensive to join the real grads thread after mc last time but all the fur babies got too much for me and I felt I needed to join in!

I'm 6+0 today, no symptoms other than major bloat. Here's my baby boy! He's a co-sleeper so I have no idea how it will work with a baby!
