Hello!!

This is a new wave of grads for those from #TTC1 - Those on the first grade thread are dealing with poonamis and crying babies, while we are still waving our FRER's and wondering if that line is really a figment of our imagination!

Feel free to join in, if you too are embarking on this crazy journey to parenthood!!

Ahhh lovely scan Mrs - beautiful xx

Music I'm 5+4 & don't have many symptoms, except my boobs are bigger & so is my tummy - hopefully I can blame it on over-indulging over Christmas when I go back to work, I don't want anyone in the office to notice. I'm sure everything is fine, roll on our scans for some peace of mind xx

marmitecheesetoast · 30/12/2016 15:22

Ahh lovely congrats MrsG isn't it such an amazing feeling seeing that little blob and hearing that heartbeat for the first time? I remember being totally shocked there was actually something in there!! Countdown to 12 weeks scan for you now!!

Musicgrrl · 30/12/2016 15:43

mrs what a beautiful scan! So glad everything is on track with your expected dates, must be a relief. How long did it take them to tell you all was fine? Think I'll be holding my breath!

Thanks for the reassuring words, ladies. I have got a bit of my PMA back now. Going to a funeral was actually quite a good way to give me some perspective!

kav hope you can get some better rest this coming week. Moving stress won't help I guess although does sound very exciting!

marmite wow - buying baby stuff sounds so fun and real! Also, why on earth would a pram be £200 cheaper just because it was red?? Great spot. New pregnancy pillow sounds like a good idea. Hope it helps!

star I can understand that you feel self conscious with the bloating but I swear people in the office would probably not notice on their own until you were like 20 weeks gone! People are always more focussed on their own things.

MrsG280516 · 30/12/2016 16:10

The ultrasound tech was so lovely music and they were so quick! The minute she put the "thing" on my stomach it popped straight up on the screen and she pointed out the heartbeat flashing away. Then she did a quick measurement, let us watch it for a little while as she was printing some photos and also checked my ovaries to make sure there was nothing of concern.

We were in and out within 15 minutes but it didn't feel rushed, obviously there's not much to see at this stage and we were just relieved that everything was fine! 100% worth the money!

Mooseville · 30/12/2016 18:19

Awesome scan mrs So pleased all went well!

Brilliant news about kwick I hope this thread gets busier and busier!!

Had a horrible dream last night about losing the baby, it was completely bonkers full of random people and I was at school acting in a drama show - but it's still thrown me a bit today and made me a bit anxious there's nothing there! Are we ever going to be able to not be worried about something ever again??!!! Really looking forward to feeling it move so I can calm down! And I'm normally so laid back....

OP posts:
Musicgrrl · 30/12/2016 20:52

moose dream sounds horrible but fortunately it was just that, a dream. Totally know where you're coming from but take reassurance from the fact that you have seen evidence that there is a baby in you and you are at a relatively low risk time in your pregnancy statistically Smile

mrs scan sounds like a great experience - bet you're excited about showing a few more people now!

LovelyFishy · 31/12/2016 11:37

Congratulations on the scan Mrs!

Moose sorry to hear about the dream, bad/weird dreams are quite common in pregnancy I think.

Marmite good news on the baby product purchasing! Prams and that do look like a bit of a minefield!

Had my 20 week scan yesterday, all's as it should be. And we found out we have a little girl. Smile

marmitecheesetoast · 31/12/2016 11:46

Ha I know music guess it must be a less popular colour! At least it's nice and bright and relatively gender neutral (I think? Maybe red is a bit boy?) anyway we're pretty chuffed with it! Neither DH or I ever thought we'd be so excited over a pram purchase, how time change!! Grin

Congrats on the scan Fishy and a little girl on the way how exciting! Did you get a good pic? Are you telling people you're having a girl or keeping it between yourselves?

Dream sounds horrid moose - yes to weird and very vivid preggo dreams...just wait til the sex ones start BlushGrin

Starmist · 31/12/2016 13:59

Hope everyone is ok. I'm feeling really dizzy today so trying to take it easy.

Sorry about your bad dream moose that must have been upsetting.

Congratulations on you little girl lovely Smile

Marmite I know this was ages ago but what happened with your bridesmaid dilemma? I remember you were worried about it just after you got your BFP.

Nicky thinking of you xx

marmitecheesetoast · 31/12/2016 16:12

Well remembered starmist! I told my friend as soon as we'd had the 12 week scan, knowing the bridesmaid dresses we'd bought were from John Lewis and mine would be easily returnable within the timeframe! My friend was really understanding and very excited for me. Im still an 'honourary bridesmaid' in the meantime with organising the hen do etc (which is happening very soon, eek!) but not a bridesmaid on the day as we're still not sure whether or not we'll be there on the day. The wedding is 2 weeks before the due date but is a 5 hour drive away from where we live... so no idea how I'll be...

Do you think your blood pressure might be a bit low? Mine was low early on and I fainted a few times. MW recommended eating small amounts really regularly - like every 2 hours max you should have a snack to keep your BP stable I think. Hope that maybe helps and you feel less dizzy soon

Mooseville · 31/12/2016 18:03

Thanks everyone, I do know it's just a stupid dream but it's still hard not to be anxious that everything is ok!

It's my DP's sister's wedding 3 days before my due date!!! Aargh! Luckily am not bridesmaid but it's going to be a stressful day worried about giving birth in the church and wearing a tent! It's only about 1.5grs from home so hopefully returnable if labour starts! DP is also best man at a wedding when baby will be 6 weeks old. Annoyingly it's one of those where the venue is 15mins away from the hotel so I won't even be able to disappear upstairs with baby when it all gets too much, will have to drive back to hotel instead! Will just play it all by ear though and see how I feel about attending - although obviously DP will have to go to both unless I am actually in labour!

What's everyone doing for New Yr? M&S food, PJ's and TV here! From our 4th floor flat you can see right into London (about 15miles away) and can see fireworks all around so it's quite fun to watch!
Roll on 2017. New house and new baby here we come!!!! Xmas Grin

Aw MrsG what a great picture. So happy everything went well.

Moose that sounds like a terrible dream - completely understand why you would be anxious.
Your night in sounds great - I would love that.
We are just heading out for dinner with my brother and SIL so nothing crazy. They know so at least I don't have to pretend I'm drinking. Will keep a glass of wine in front of me as we usually see a few people we know out.

Hope everyone one has a great night - Heres to an amazing 2017!

MrsG280516 · 01/01/2017 09:51

Happy New Year lovely ladies, 2017 is going to be pretty special! Star

MouseLove · 01/01/2017 10:03

Happy New Year ladies. I got my BFP yesterday!!!!! Totally didn't believe it until this morning when I did another test. I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow. Completely and utterly FREAKING out.

Age 33
Cycle 3 (month 4) of irregular cycles this try. Cycle 6-8 over the last 3 years. Had to start and stop like a pull back car. Lol
Coming off Cerelle pill.

HellsBellsK · 01/01/2017 10:11

Happy New Years Ladies!!

Ah Mouse its great to see you here - huge Congratulations!!

Mooseville · 01/01/2017 10:28

Congrats Mouse what a great start to 2017!

WantingBaby1 · 01/01/2017 10:55

Congratulations mouse!

marmite bad timing on the weddings, at least both will understand if you cant make it. These babies can't be planned like some think they can!

Sounds like an excellent new year moose. We had family over who at midnight kept saying "we'll go in a minute, you must be exhausted" (I was) and the opening more prosecco. Come 2am I asked if there was anything else they'd like and then when the answer was no I handed them their coats Blush !! Was the only way of getting to bed!

MrsG280516 · 01/01/2017 11:25

Big congrats Mouse you were definitely due that BFP!

I'm 8 weeks and dying to just tell everyone now that most of my family and close friends know. I want to be optimistic now we've seen the heartbeat and the risk of miscarriage is pretty similar to the 12 week mark but it's not really the done thing is it?

MouseLove · 01/01/2017 11:35

I'm pretty sure you can do whatever the hell you like MrsG. Lol. I'm going to struggle not to tell my parents. But I think waiting a little while is probably better for us. I'm thinking we might have a scan around 8 weeks maybe. I dunno, would it need to be around 8 weeks from conception or from last AF to see a heartbeat? I'm not sure what the hell im doing haha. I have a digital to use today. But I'm not sure if I need to wait for FMU now tomorrow. I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow from my last AF. No idea of conception.

HellsBellsK · 01/01/2017 12:06

I'm getting an early scan in two weeks. They said I can get one from 6 weeks so will be around 7w3d when we get one. I think a week or so after that we will tell close friends. DH parents and mine already know.

MouseLove · 01/01/2017 12:17

So hells, is that 7w3d from conception or from last AF. I'm getting myself confused now. Should I just ignore conception for now?

I'm thinking of getting some pregnancy vitamins. I was taking pre-pregnancy centrium but I stopped and just took folic acid. Do you think these would be ok? (See attachment)

#TTC1 - Second Wave grads thread!
kavanaughkj · 01/01/2017 12:42

Mouse! Congratulations - it's lovely to see you in here! Grin The Pregnacare will be fine. I take the Seven Seas brand just because I never liked the Pregnacare Conception stuff as it made my pee luminous yellow.

Fab scan pic MrsG :) I'm not due for my scan until Jan 14th and I'm getting majorly fidgety about it. Been struggling with rubbish nausea over the last few days while trying to move in to our new flat, but have had lots of help at least. Also DH was a sweetie and has already bought me a pregnancy pillow which was a tad like sleeping in a cocoon last night - think it will help with my back too as I'm prone to back problems.

Happy new year to you all! Grin this thread is growing nicely now!

HellsBellsK · 01/01/2017 12:50

That will be from my last period thats what they go by for the scans, then once you get your scan they may move your dates around slightly.

I am taking the Pregnancy care but the plus one.
I was worried about feeling sick from taking it - but take it first thing then I have my breakfast and I have been feeling okay. It hasn't turned my pee luminous either - but may be thats just me.

Mooseville · 01/01/2017 12:53

mouse those will be fine but like kav I take seven seas, I found pregnacare made me feel sick - even though I think it was all in my head because they were so illuminous!

I just went from last day of AF for dates and then at your 12 week scan they will put you forward or back a few days on measurements, which I think is the conception/implantation difference but measured by the baby iykwim??? Or I could be talking rubbish!
