We're having another boy! He flashed us his bits straight away so no ambiguity there! All looked fine with the baby, I have another in three weeks to look at placenta because of low PAPP-A from last blood tests, but I'm a lot more relaxed having seen all looks ok for now !

FriendlyGhost · 20/09/2016 14:37

Evergreen I'm still a member of my dd's antenatal mn group. We did all migrate to fb but still in touch daily. They were invaluable for the first few months and quite a few of us have met up. It doesn't end when the babies are born.

Witch91 · 20/09/2016 14:42

Thanks twocats and evergreen, I thought on my letter it said full bladder but I may be getting confused. I'll check again when I get home - it would make sense not to need it now though!

Welcome vixx :)

Booked my whooping cough vaccine today for 30/09. Dr took the opportunity to stick a flu jab in my arm whilst I was there though!!

Evergreen On the one hand, I can't believe it's already half way through, but on the other hand it feels like it has taken so much time and worry to get to this point!! I'm also hoping we can move to a post natal chat thread, with so many babies all at the same stage it would be great to keep the support and advice going!!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 20/09/2016 14:42

london I haven't used the baby wish list, I made my own, not sure if it's different? You just have to download a button link on PC, not sure how to do it on phone though.

And ever I hope you didn't think I meant your knitting! I love handknitted things and your jumper is amazing, but there's a certain look I meant... Ribbons, frills and matching bonnets (especially as we're not finding out the gender) I'm having visions of this!

Ever I'm also totally up for keeping the group going with a postnatal thread!

twocats congrats on the positive scan and the little boy!

Piano thanks for the tip. Also, that is exactly the kind of thing my mom would buy but with more lace on it and perhaps an applique duck :)

LondonGirl83 · 20/09/2016 15:35

I've already bought some lovely knitted cardigans as well though so I actually really love knitwear for babies.

I am hoping to get some lovely knitted blankets and booties made by my MIL too (my mom doesn't knit).

Vixxfacee · 20/09/2016 15:53

Thank you for the welcome.
Mamas and papas have some really nice knitted outfits. I have only bought 2 outfits so far. Will wait until boxing day sales!
I just had a look at the sleepyhead and judging by the reviews I will definitely get one.

Is anyone not getting the whooping cough injection?

Shellbell0403 · 20/09/2016 16:33

vixx welcome 😀 think I might have been on another mn thread with you xx

LondonGirl83 · 20/09/2016 16:45

Vix is there a reason not to get the vaccination that you are aware of?

Carly6971 · 20/09/2016 16:59

Grrrr.... Just rang my docs re whooping cough/flu vaccines and snotty receptionist wouldn't let me book it as she had over 28 weeks come up on her screen, and I am only 21! Oh well will ask at 25 week appt.

Congrats on all the scans. 1 week today for our rescan! Can't wait to see our little princess again x

Vixxfacee · 20/09/2016 17:02

Shell was it the pcos thread Grin

London girl I don't really know much about it! At my appointment they kinda glossed over it and assumed I would have it. I don't really have much information about it. Need to do some research.

MarjorySunshineDust · 20/09/2016 17:12

I looove hand knitted cardigans on babies! I have a couple saved from DD.
I'm in the middle of crocheting a big blanket for DD but when that's finished I want to make one for the new baby.

Welcome Vixx!

Evergreen17 · 20/09/2016 18:06

Twocats another boy! Grin

Oh ok I hadn't thought of post natal clubs, brilliant!
Witch yes this is true. I went to see that nursery yesterday with all the cute bubbas and I wanted mine out to play already!
Piano I knew exactly what you meant Grin do not worry.
That pic is too much
Carly that is old info! On the new NHS info says to get the vaccine from 20 weeks
Are we supposed to get the flu vaccine too?
They dont give much info do they?

Shellbell0403 · 20/09/2016 18:10

Vixx yeah was the pcos thread! Glad to see u on here also!! Another success story 😀

ever i got told I had to get the flu jag also!
I got my whooping cough injection on Friday!

I'm up for continuing the thread once baba all here also!

Vixxfacee · 20/09/2016 19:36

Shell did you get pregnant naturally? I got pregnant with my first go at ivf.
So great we are both here!

CinderellaFant · 20/09/2016 20:05

Evergreen- they inject your upper arm. I don't mind needles at all,I give blood without a problem but this one did make me wince! It was very stingy. Feels quite dull and achy tonight.

I was told the whooping cough injection can be given after 16 weeks. It also tops up your polio, tetanus and diphtheria immunity too!

Sausage you might want to ask MN to crop that - it has your full name, location and patient number on!

Vixxfacee · 20/09/2016 20:46

Sausage I've reported it just incase your too busy to get them to delete it.
Congratulations!

Evergreen17 · 20/09/2016 21:05

Shell and Vixx I was on the PCOS thread too Smile

Evergreen17 · 20/09/2016 21:08

Sausage great mews about scan Smile
Is anyone else feeling so tired they feel sick? Honestly I was falling asleep at work.
I walked 10.5 km today and 10 of those were at work. Thanks god I am planning on leaving at 33 weeks.
But maybe it is not normal to be this tired? I also have a 4 hours commute each day...

divadee · 20/09/2016 21:22

We have spent the evening doing a list of everything we need for babies first few weeks. Even though I have done it before I am overwhelmed at the amount of stuff we are going to have to buy!!! Is anyone else feeling the same?

SausageDogGeorge · 20/09/2016 21:22

Oops thanks Fenella Vixx I didn't even think about that Blush it's been removed by MN now - thank you!
Anyone else not finding out the sex?

SausageDogGeorge · 20/09/2016 21:25

I felt overwhelmed by the list we drew up too divadee but we're starting baby shopping this weekend now that we've had the 20 week scan Smile

Shellbell0403 · 20/09/2016 21:37
