Oh no indi! hope all is ok and DH gets to you soon. At least you've managed to get yourself to the hospital and you're in the right place to be looked after.

leoniethelioness · 10/08/2016 13:58

Indi I am so sorry to hear about that! You are in the best place right now and I hope you are being looked after well. Look after yourself and Beanie. I hope your DH gets there soon. Biscuit Flowers Brew

LisaTheSimpson · 10/08/2016 14:15

Oh, Indi, you poor thing!

That must have been traumatic and painful. How are you feeling now? Is your ankle hurting?

Glad you're in the right place for Beanie, and I'm sure the monitoring will show everything is fine. x

IndiX · 10/08/2016 14:19

Thanks ladies. I still haven't been seen to (been here nearly an hour). I'm in the room with this massive ankle and have just had to buzz for some water and to see if I can get some paracetamol. I won't be getting out of here anytime soon.
DH's boss is being an arse too so he's been delayed in getting back.

leoniethelioness · 10/08/2016 15:08

How are you now, Indi?

Newmrs22 · 10/08/2016 15:22

Oh Indi you poor thing. Well done for managing not to fall on bump! You must be so shaken up.

Potato I'm next on the list, but someone else will probably overtake me. I've a feeling I'm in for the long haul!

Danni and Cosmo I had to have a growth scan because of fundal height. It was fine! Turns out baby had turned slightly which changed the shape of the bump. Really don't worry. The midwives are very cautious.

AudreyBradshaw · 10/08/2016 15:33

indi you poor thing! What a day for you! Hope your Dh can get there soon, that beanie is right as rain and hasn't even noticed her poor Mammy falling over and that your ankle isn't broken! 💐🍫🍦

shelbTa · 10/08/2016 15:43

Oh indi that's really rough Flowers what a total bastard of a thing to happen x

Feefeefs · 10/08/2016 16:03

Trying to go for tight things more Lisa still at the stage were I do just look a bit bloated! By the floaty stuff defo makes me look bigger, more comfortable though when it's hot!

Weirdly may I had a bug at almost exactly the same weeks as you are now! Floored me for a week but then had no more nausea or vomiting following that.

Hope scans go well Cosmo and Dani

Indi that sounds awful! Hope you get seen to very soon!

Canters15 · 10/08/2016 16:54

canters age 29 with a 25+4 blue bump!

Bunch omg omg omg he is beautiful! Actually shed a tear at seeing him. Congrats. And well done you on the birth.

Indi good god what a day. Hope you get the ankle seen to soon and hope baby is ok. You poor thing.

PotatosMum · 10/08/2016 17:36

Indi you poor sausage. I hope everything is ok and they sort out your ankle soon Flowers

New I'm next after you but I'm about a week later so plenty of time for you to pop first Wink

So last night one of our neighbours (who live in the past farm house next door) popped around with a bottle of wine to welcome us to the area. They followed up introductions with by the way we have two boys who play in the garden next to yours so you may get balls and toys over your fence occasionally... Translation, our children are a handful and will kick stuff into your garden regularly, here have wine, please return the balls and don't hate us Grin seeing as I'd already spent most of the day returning balls to the other side we just laughed and said sure.

Oh, and Potato turned right over earlier (made my whole stomach do the Mexican wave) and now if she so much as hiccups my stomach visibly moves... I'm hoping that was her getting into position!, not that I want to evict her as soon as possible or anything Wink

So Beanie is fine, been hooked up to the monitor for 3 hours and got 1 more hour to go. The doctor gave me some strong painkillers so my ankle isn't too painful atm. Once I've been discharged from maternity I have to go over to A&E for an X Ray, doctor said she's sure it's not a fracture but wants to make sure. DH is about an hour away so should be here to take me home later on. My poor DM has been driving since about 1.30pm to come up and see me in Scotland, she's still driving now and probably has a couple more hours to go, it's about a 5 hour drive on a good day and she's a pretty slow shit driver as it is.
I think I worried everyone today but thank god Beanie is ok. Thank you for your kind messages.

P.s. Hospital food is shit.

Newmrs22 · 10/08/2016 17:47

Phew Indi! So pleased baby is ok. Fingers crossed the ankle is just sprained.

Haha potato good luck with the little boys Grin I'm so ready for baby to come now. I've had a lot of visible movement today too.

Pinklily1 · 10/08/2016 18:07

Oh Indi, bless you. It's good that you didn't fall on bump but a broken ankle would be rubbish. So pleased Beanie is ok, and fingers crossed for your ankle too Flowers

Lisa, the If I Let You Go I read was about a car crash.

I think I have the same maxi skirt as you from New Look. It's so comfortable. I am wearing all body con type stuff. I bought two dresses earlier on which are floaty and I hate them, they make me feel like a beached whale.

Dr, that rubbish about your local maternity service. Who gets the final say as to whether you have a home birth? Presumably you? Would you have a pool as well?

Dannii, try not to worry. Apparently the midwife measurements are notoriously not very accurate. Good luck for the scan tomorrow. Hope your scan goes ok too Cosmo.

Random question - are any of you imposing a no drinking ban on your OH's in the run up to due date? My OH doesn't drink much but would have a bottle of wine or some beers on a weekend evening. I've said he'll have to stop from this weekend onwards (I'll be almost 38 weeks), so he can drive to the hospital if needs be. He's fine with that, but I just wondered if anyone else is taking the same approach?

Hope you feel better soon May. Exciting about your next scan too!

Potato, my hair is more dry than usual, but has been since the beginning of pregnancy.

Glad your appointment went well Audrey. Is baby breech then?

Woo hoo for mat leave Shelb! I have four working days left Smile

My money for the next one to pop is New Smile

LisaTheSimpson · 10/08/2016 18:19

Pink - yes, it's so comfortable! My outfit is navy and white today - the stripey over-bump maxi skirt, paired with a navy cardigan and navy sandals.

I've had so many compliments today, it's so sweet. Makes me think I should wear more bodycon stuff! I will try and be brave and do it as often as I can (particularly as I bet I won't feel so confident to do so after birth when my bump turns into a saggy mush for a few months Hmm)

Darn it, it told me the first post didn't work..... Hmm

AudreyBradshaw · 10/08/2016 18:29

Oh than goodness for that indi beanie is well, what a relief! Poor you though! And fingers crossed your dm has an uneventful drive up to you as speedily as possible!

Aww potato they sound like a good natured sort, especially with the wine! Bless them! And bless you! Definetly hoping we get some more real life actual babies in the next week or so! Including baby potato!

I'd not actually thought about that pink but where babys been lay and where the midwife did the pinrard, it's just occurred to me, it's currently breech! It's been kicking me in the fanny from the inside all day! Grin

IrregularCommentary · 10/08/2016 18:33

Oh God Indi what a day. So glad Beanie is ok, and fingers crossed nothing is broken. You poor thing though, just when I'd normally prescribe a large glass of wine as well!

Pink yeah DH and I have had the driving conversation too. He's not a big drinker anyway, but he's going to stop around 38 weeks I think just to make sure he's always able to drive me. He's pretty much just said to let him know when I think it's time for him to be on call and he'll go by what I want.

Pinklily1 · 10/08/2016 19:10

That makes sense Irregular. I only ask because there was a thread a while ago on the Pregnancy pages about it and there were some heated debates about it (I didn't participate, but was just intrigued as to why it was such a big thing).

I think i'm going to be living in that skirt and also leggings for however long I've got left Lisa Smile

Newmrs22 · 10/08/2016 19:12

Pink yes OH is now only drinking a tiny bit. Like one tiny glass of wine or one beer. Most nights it's nothing though.

Sodasoda · 10/08/2016 19:18

Indi what a horrible shock, so glad everything's ok with baby. How's the ankle?

Lisa I wear mainly fitted stuff. I think floaty stuff makes me look fat! Although in recent weeks I don't mind wearing less fitted as I look pregnant whatever I wear!

Pink DH have spoken about him not drinking and haven't come to a firm agreement! It normally wouldn't be an issue and he'd be fine with it but We're going to weddings when I'll be 37 and 38 weeks and I know he'll want to have a 'few' then but he knows he's under strict instructions not to go overboard.

Danni89 · 10/08/2016 19:41

Thanks girls, I'll let you know what the outcome of the scan is tomorrow

indi sorry to hear of your fall, and hope you haven't broken your ankle- rest up chick

Mileymoocow · 10/08/2016 20:01

indi shit! I hope you're OK! Sounds like you've had an absolutely horrendous time Sad

lisa the one I read was the car crash one, too.

pink I hadn't even thought about that! I reckon 38 weeks will be a good time to impose the ban. OH is dieting down anyway so doesn't drink all that much right now.

OHs friend has just left with his new fiancee (of about 5 months) and I get the impression she's only with him for his money Angry

PotatosMum · 10/08/2016 20:19

Indie glad to hear baby is fine, hopefully ankle will be too and you can go home and put your feet up.

Pink no alcohol ban required here. OH only drinks when we go out so has been nearly as sober as me the past 9 months.

I've just been informed by OH that Potato isn't allowed to be born until after next week as he needs to cover his managers holiday... Err OK well that's a fairly certain way to ensure Potato arrives this weekend Hmm

Sister has also been on the phone insisting that OH calls her the moment I go into labour... Yes, while I'm busy being in labour he will leave me to call you so that you feel important Hmm
