Huge congratulations Leonie. What an amazing weight.

New use arnica! It helps with the bruising.

Potato I'm lucky in that my house had huge thick stone walls so despite the heat outside the house stays a bearable temperature until it's been hot a week or so. We've just had Atticus is thin sleepsuits and just used a muslin swaddle as a blanket at night. It's a lot cooler today though .

Second day alone today, going grand so far I'm actually dressed, as is Atticus. We go out in the car alone today too eek! I've stripped the bedding and stuffed a load of nappies that he won't yet fit into and sorted the clean laundry out and colour piled the dirty laundry. I've got this Grin

Mileymoocow · 25/08/2016 10:37

leonie huge congratulations! And what a lovely size for being an impatient little fella! Speedy recovery to you Flowers

elle I hope it buggers off too! Thanks Smile

lillian just 3 weeks after this week, thank the Lord. It could possibly be, but it's not as warm as it has been. I remember someone saying it was normal for it to ramp up in later stages of pregnancy (sorry, can't remember who!).

new oh dear, hopefully the bruising settles down! I'm absolutely not looking forward to the recovery - I know my mum had a 2nd degree tear and really had it quite bad afterwards.

mayago · 25/08/2016 10:56

Congratulations leonie! That must have been quite the shock/surprise for you yesterday.

Miley I hope you're feeling better today. Were you ever diagnosed with HG?

Canters sounds like a fantastic opportunity!

Potato glad to hear you're doing well. It's much cooler here today - I'm cuddled up under a blanket Smile

LisaTheSimpson · 25/08/2016 10:56

Yay Leonie, many congratulations on your new little family! So pleased it went ok, and can't wait to hear more about him.

Mileymoocow · 25/08/2016 11:11

may, yeah I was. Had medication and was off work for 11 weeks with it (started getting terrible around 6/7 weeks and ended up in hospital on a drip 5 times). Disappeared around 23ish weeks after a few weeks of it gradually easing off. It'll all be so worth it though Smile

leoniethelioness · 25/08/2016 12:33

Thank you for all of the congratulations. We are doing well. Hoping to be moved from the recovery ward so we can have visitors from 2 until 3 pm. My mum and DH's mum are on their way.

Theodore is beautiful. I can't believe he's ours - this has all been so sudden and such a shock!

HepKestrel · 25/08/2016 12:38

awww!!! he's gorgeous.

Sodasoda · 25/08/2016 12:53

He's gorgeous leonie! Huge congratulations! Could I ask why you had a c-section in the end, was it because you were early? I bet you don't feel guilty about being on mat leave now!!

Sorry about the sickness miley you've really had it rough.

Those certainly sound like early pregnancy symptoms to me hep! Time seems to speed up after 12 week scan and slow down towards to end in my experience Smile

Thanks for perineal massage info. My oil is being delivered today so will give it a go.

My flatulence is out of control!! Blush It was bad early on but has really returned in the last week or so! I woke myself and DH up a number of times last night farting!! DH said he thought I was going to take off Grin

Danni89 · 25/08/2016 13:02

He's lovely leonie and a good size! Can't believe it's happened so fast, and it's like there was a reason why you took that early Mat leave

Canters15 · 25/08/2016 13:13

Oh wow Leonie congrats!!! He's gorgeous!!! How are you feeling?

Eeek thanks guys Singapore is very exciting! Lisa dh is a wanker banker, I could potentially work but it's slightly more complicated because I'm mid training programme so would need to apply for time out of training. We'd look to go for 2 years or so, get some money behind us then come back. The only draw back is my mum is being super negative about it which is making me feel guilty, but I suppose we have to do what's right for us.

Mileymoocow · 25/08/2016 13:20

Oh leonie he is absolutely precious!!! What an absolute cutie. Congratulations again Grin

canters I agree - you absolutely have to do what's best for you! It's only 2 years.

leoniethelioness · 25/08/2016 13:27

Section as baby breech xxx

BunchOfBobs · 25/08/2016 13:44

Leonie he's so gorgeous!! Huge congratulations to you both again.

Canters you definitely have to do what's best for the three of you.

IrregularCommentary · 25/08/2016 13:56

Leonie he's absolutely gorgeous.

Cannot believe that I have an actual proper baby in here too - I was only 8 days behind you on edd and I can't quite get my head around that combined with cute baby!

HepKestrel · 25/08/2016 13:57

Leonie I hope you are recovering well.
Will they keep you in hospital for longer being a c-section ? (I really need to learn more about everything !!!!)

Mileymoocow · 25/08/2016 14:09

irregular that was one of my first thoughts, too! I'm 10 days behind leonie and I still can't believe one of those cuties is inside of me and is a full sized baby!!!

DrWhy · 25/08/2016 14:11

Leonie he's gorgeous! So glad he is with you safe and sound 🙂 I hope you are recovering well too.
Hep they usually keep you a bit longer with a C-section as you need to recover more too. That said our hospital are sending a friend of a friend home today after she had a c-section on Tuesday as they are so short of beds Shock I think this is all linked to the general crisis in maternity in our area though.

HepKestrel · 25/08/2016 14:16

Thanks DrWhy That is what i assumed.

I hope your friend recovers well. I believe this time of year is the "prime season" for babies ....... 9 months after christmas/new year festivities Wink

mayago · 25/08/2016 15:28

leonie he's precious! Congratulations again. I hope you've made it out for visitors.

Miley that sounds pretty rough. I haven't been sick once Blush and consider to have had a really easy time so far!

That's a tough decision Canters. Hopefully your mum will be okay with whatever you decide!

I sent OH a picture of me trying on my new maxi dress for our holiday next week. He stupidly opened it while driving (!!) and almost crashed the car. For some reason my bump was absolutely mahoosive yesterday..

shelbTa · 25/08/2016 15:36

Huge congratulations leonie! Flowers he's adorable and so pleased you are both ok.

Bunch - pat yourself on the back, sounds like you're mastering it!

X

Pinklily1 · 25/08/2016 15:54

Leonie, Theodore is gorgeous! There mustn't be much in age between him and his cousin? Hope you are doing ok.

Canters, that sounds like a great opportunity. Could you pick up your training again when you got back? I suppose your mum would miss you, but if it was only for 2 years, at least you'd be back before baby starts to form proper bonds with people.

Bunch, it sounds like you are coping really well with just you and Atticus!

New, sorry to hear about the pain down below. Hopefully it won't last too long. How's Jacob doing?

Where are you off on holiday May?

I've just been for another walk and bought another pineapple in an attempt to get things going - i'm ever optimistic! Had curry last night too Grin

shelbTa · 25/08/2016 16:28

Pink - I've literally just got back from a 30 min walk and had a jalfrezi for lunch!!

X

leoniethelioness · 25/08/2016 16:59

Baby gone for special treatment due to low blood sugar. Not seen him in two hours. Feel miserable. No idea how he is. I've not slept or managed to do anything for him. Meltdown.

shelbTa · 25/08/2016 17:11

Ah leonie. He will be getting the best possible treatment. Virtual hug, it must be really hard and you must be shattered xx

leoniethelioness · 25/08/2016 17:28

Baby is doing well. My catheter is out. I'm having a shower and then he should be ready to see us. Feeling rotten but excited to see him.
