Fab news Loosey

Didn't have that Lion but if you're feeling brave you could always grab her tummy!

OP posts:
Essybird · 20/08/2016 07:42

I had my whooping cough at 23w. Apparently the guidelines have changed from 'after 28w' to 'after 23w'.

No side effects here either but the arm does hurt for a few days so pick a good one to get jabbed..

Essybird · 20/08/2016 07:47

Handy that I didn't see the 2 pages that have appeared since the whooping cough question.. Back to bed for me I think!!

Bigfam · 20/08/2016 09:19

loosey that's great news, your baby is obviously a little fighter ☺

I think I'll wait til I see my mw to arrange for whooping cough jab, I definitely won't be missing the flu jab this time around, I had it whilst pregnant with dd3, honestly thought I was dying (the only relief I got was from laying on a tiled floor completely naked HmmBlush)

My 'pod' is arriving today (hopefully)

Nojo82 · 20/08/2016 10:16

soloman I've to have the diabetes test too. And it's the same here in Northern Ireland. 3 blood tests over a period of time. I can see myself being sick whilst there. I have to eat first thing or I'll throw up. Not looking forward to it..

becciandbump · 20/08/2016 10:45

Hubby gone out to get the paint for the nursery excited to start it. Ive had to delay my whooping cough vaccine until we get back from hols at 25w went for it thursday but I couldn't have it as im on antibiotics x

veryfriendlylion · 20/08/2016 10:48

Haha Dartmoor that made me laugh, very tempting!

barkingtreefrog · 20/08/2016 10:56

goinggrey yes, it's routine, but I had a fall this week and apparently any 'incident' at all if you're rhesus negative, regardless of whether you have any bleeding, you should call to see if you need the jab. They need to give it to you within 72 hours (I had dithered about calling as I was given the wrong information at 12w so was just outside it).

Springroll very jealous!!

Rainfall I don't get that, if they're giving it to you in an envelope why bother? Why do they not just say they don't know?! What if you'd made a big thing of revealing the gender with family and then it just said 'don't know'?!
Sorry about DH's reaction Sad

Looseyloo excellent news, what a little fighter xx.

Lion I think I'd go with 'Do you mind not doing that? It's really uncomfortable as the skin is so tight/it's a bit tender/(any relevant bullshit to make her stop)'
Alternatively 'Get your hands off me' might get the point across quite clearly! Wink

StubbleTurnips · 20/08/2016 13:56

bigfam good luck with the the pod! I tried with Amazon and they basically told me it was cancelled and if I didn't like it to go to trading standards as it was tough. I cancelled my prime membership!

Bigfam · 20/08/2016 14:31

StubbleTurnips thanks. It's been delivered anyhoo and it's only the cover, I'm sending it back but I've already ordered and received my purflo nest which I love ❤

Oh tell me about the purflo!!

Bigfam · 20/08/2016 18:24

StubbleTurnips here's info for you 😊
I got moss green, was just under £43. Will definitely last longer than the 4 months it stated (not sure how big the sleepyhead is)

Fab, will defo look into it - will have to try somewhere other than Amazon since my flounce Blush Hmm Grin

Bigfam · 20/08/2016 18:50

Haha StubbleTurnips I'm not going to get worked up about it, but they've made a rod for their own backs for honouring some & not others, oh well, I'm glad some people are getting theirs though.
Luckily the purflo nests are sold in quite a few places, when I googled it argos and Tesco direct were listed. (And all around the same £45 mark)

Minispringroll · 20/08/2016 19:12

Have they given any reason for not sending it to some people?

TipBoov · 20/08/2016 19:46

Amazon first told me I'd ordered a white cover but they only have blue that's why they cancelled my order. Then they said they had none of the pods in stock, which was why they cancelled it.

Then they said it was a misprice.

Either way they've cancelled my order, so I won't even be getting a cover!

StubbleTurnips · 20/08/2016 20:00

Nope! Just told that i was confused over what I was ordering constantly, I kept telling them I wasn't. They cancelled it and told me to take it up with trading standards if I had an issue.

Bigfam · 20/08/2016 20:07

People I've spoken to that are getting them (after they've been told they'll only be getting the cover) have said that they've spent hours on the phone/live chat etc & even then I think it depends on who you end up speaking to. I haven't got the time or patience to do either of those. With 4 dc to look after it's really not worth getting stressed & upset over. I regret posting about them now, knowing how much of a pain it's turning out to be for some of you. I'm sorry 😦

StubbleTurnips · 20/08/2016 20:34

Don't be sorry bigfam I've enjoyed the ruckus with Amazon Grin

It has also amused DH for days with my strategy discussions!!

TipBoov · 20/08/2016 20:47

Ahh don't be sorry bigfam, it's not something I would have ordered anyway so I don't feel disappointed. In fact I did well out of it because I got a £10 voucher, so it all worked out well!

becciandbump · 21/08/2016 06:34

Rubbish nights sleep but to be fair it's only the third bad one ive had this pregnancy . Baby on other hand is having a party in there and won't stop wriggling!

goinggrey1978 · 21/08/2016 07:05

Becciandbump, I know how you feel, bubble likes to think it's involved in the Olympics, doing flips and gymnastics in there, not so early this morning about 6am, but the other morning was wide awake and busy in there from 3am and carried on for nearly 4hours, it's really hard to ignore, wears you out before the day has started, but on the other hand is so reassuring and comforting to know they really are in there!! I'm thinking that bubble is having a growth spurt as there are weeks when it's really active, like it's trying to make room and stretch out!!

Bigfam · 21/08/2016 07:33

Looks like my 18month old is dropping her day time nap already 😕 she hasn't had one the past three days and is awake for over 12 hours!
Planning on taking the eldest & youngest to a pool Tuesday, eldest is starting swimming lessons at school when she returns & we want her to be a bit more confident. I'm going to have to put my own issues aside to get into a bikini/swimsuit, not looking forward to it.

barkingtreefrog · 21/08/2016 08:22

bigfam don't apologise about the sleepyhead, we all got at least a £10 voucher!! Grin

Bigfam · 21/08/2016 12:44

If anyone is formula feeding and looking at the perfect prep machine it's £69.99 on amazon but with this code BABYGC16 it's only £54.99.
I'm still in two minds as to whether I should get one (not using tommee tippee bottles)
