Tinkly the sale of goods with Internet shopping is different. Basically unless they 'accept' your order (Amazon don't - they confirm your order), Amazon accept on payment. The sleepyhead hasn't yet been dispatched or paid for, so technically they are in the right. It's in their t&cs and is acceptable practice.

Southdown hope you get a quick referral, I was referred to the mental health midwife team a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard anything yet. The stupid consultant helpfully told me my anxiety was due to a chemical imbalance so I should see my gp about getting drugs. My sensible gp agreed with me that I'm not an anxious person, I just have a lot of anxiety connected with this pregnancy due to my history (and taking drugs that could potentially have a slight risk to the baby isn't going to help the anxiety!), so a specialist midwife to talk to would be far more helpful!

I've been away on holiday for 10 days but came crashing down to earth at work today, and after my midwife appointment for this morning was cancelled at the last minute, followed by the private scan we had booked for Sunday .

I got a bit of a fright last night. My 10yo dd did a cartwheel without looking and kicked me full force in the stomach. Bump went all tight for ages but thankfully she started moving about again. Poor dd was all upset too!

weechops poor you and poor DD! Glad baby came back strong. Our toddler bounces on me all the time (not the same as a full force thwack from a 10yo!) but I reckon the baby is sufficiently cocooned to take it at the moment, and DS hasn't quite grasped he shouldn't do it and I still enjoy the rough and tumble of games, I really don't want to put him off just yet. DS2 thumping away right now so I think he's fine with it too

24w today and viable - yahoo! I feel a huge sense of relief to have reached this milestone! I've had a really down couple of weeks so am really hoping this will lift me. I've had an exhausting summer hols (kids now back to school), packed too much in and, as a result, feel drained and am really being horribly bad tempered and shouty with my children. I am aware of it so need to get it sorted.

I've been for a midwife appointment this morning. I've got a growth scan next week, booked by the sonographer after 20 week scan after she found small head and legs, normal abdomen. The midwife said she wouldn't have booked a scan as if it was iugr it would be small abdomen normal head! I've been really worried, feel a bit better now.

I've been to the midwife this morning. JuniorBonkers has a heartbeat it's so weird! I'm finding this whole pregnancy lark so surreal. I think because I'm not having strong movements (still all feels a bit twitchy) I'm not convinced anything is in there and it's just pies! But hearing the heartbeat was awesome

Can't believe how quickly time is flying!

Sorry to hear about the febrile convulsion in your 4 year old too paciificlass. That sounds terrifying. Is she okay now?

Not much to say here. Baby is kicking me regularly now, although I could happily live without the bladder kicks. Can't believe I'm 26 weeks on Monday. DD has recently started to show an interest in babies so hoping that'll be a good thing so she likes her baby sister.

On a boring practical front, can anyone tell me when we are supposed to get the whopping cough vaccine done? Is it in the third trimester or can it be before?

Yes what is this whooping cough injection all about please?? I wasn't allowed to have it as a child as one of my brothers had suspected whooping cough so it was safe for any of us to have the injection at the time

Whooping cough vacc after 28 weeks and it's a book it yourself job here

Kit I was planned mine for today at 23w, it's been postponed til Tuesday due to my UTI / fever.

Had it last time with no side effect

Ahh I remember now my midwife telling me that the advice has changed a tad since my last pregnancy 2 years ago. I was told then to have it after 28 weeks but now the NHS are saying the best time is between 20-32 weeks apparently. I think this is where I got confused!
